I hope some of these great cars get used, not just stored.
A few laps of Ascari, away from cameras, I fear will be above average for these. I wish a few more were made to demo races and race series. A wildcard LeMans entry. Can the thing last? It would be up there at the front with the Hypercars, just faster in the bend, maybe slower on the straights. Although, with modest wing angle it may even be faster overall. It's soooo much lighter than Hypercars.

Gordon is without a doubt my favourite automotive engineer- pure racing inspired and derived.. Horacio is more like art meets science, and Christian is a bit mad scientist trying all sorts of oddities- to great effect- with interesting and fast cars, but nobody beats Gordon's F1 knowledge.
I always love to watch those kind of videos, since they are more of a engineering class rather than a simple video about the car's development. And who better to give all that info rather than Gordon Murray himself? He has such an enviable curriculum of previous projects, ranging from F1 cars to road cars, and having his knowledge (or at least part of it) acessible for free here on YT is something that engineering students like me can only thank for having it. I wish one day I could visit GMA's HQ on Surrey, I hope you guys are open for tourists!🙃

Slight correction on the pitot tube. The difference between dynamic pressure at the pitot tube and the static pressure is used to calculate speed through a fluid. Altitude is calculated using only the static pressure in the altimeter.
Another quick correction - dynamic pressure (speed) is measured by differencing pitot (total) and static pressure
The infinite knowledge and wisdom of Gordon never seizes to amaze me. The GMA cars are truly science and art combined into it's purest form. Happy New Year - looking forward to follow the development process of the new cars.

I LOVE this, i will NEVER be able to afford any of these cars, but absolutely love the craftmanship and drive behind it. Its truly (and sadly) the last generation of TRUE sports/supercars.

It is so lovely to have the man himself talk about the car coming from a huge pool of knowledge and expertise and everything explained so rationally and logically.The car is just awsome no other way to describe it. Engineering and design at its v best alongside those wonderfully folks, who make its components and build it. Real team work with a real competent highly respected team leader. I absolutely love this car. I also love how he says a lotus Elise/Exige is one of his favorite cars. But he can't fit in one, I have a lotus and he is right, it is tough to fit in, but so rewarding when you drive the car. (espesially when you do a K24 swap, 300whp NA)

I have to admit -- that it's not too trivial -- to grasp -- that car -- this whole project
I feel the T.50 is a McLaren F1 evo but this, this is awesome. I just wish he chose a better name. I don’t think people will remember this car as well because McLaren was a huge name in racing and when you put ‘F1’ in the name it’s even more memorable.
I do wish the T.50s was the road car. It’s so extreme.

Could easily do a run of 300 or even 500 cars and not have a problem
All this nubs to the fan car, but it still looks like a current F1
It's too few. 99.9% of us will never see or hear one.
Make 30 extra and do a few years of racing with them. Switch to slightly more affordable and more durable parts, for the sake of racing. These cars probably lap at the same pace as so-called Hypercars in the WEC. On tight tracks, a lot faster possible, due to the actual minding of weight, apart from the lumpy N/A V12 concept, albeit executed realtively lightweight.
The car is worthless it bleeds money to own but ill take it for a spin around the track just dont expect it back in one piece.
Lacks a bit of road presence, like it's a decade too late.
I really wish they’d stop calling it ‘50’, like it’s a person.

Well put. Imagine, in another 100 years time, someone will come back to this, understand Gordons principles, what he was trying to achieve, and make it better with the materials they have access to.

Since the letter a is open and tilted on the Fancar, I think it reads just as much Funcar. Which is the important bit.
I like to think they did that on purpose like every other detail.

whats crazy is this is tech from decades ago tricking into production cars. the AMG One actually has the ultra exclusive engineering so im hoping, as a poor, we can get a hold of old race car tech.
