    • @iliftbro413
      @iliftbro413 11 років тому +40

      not necessarily, where I am from and there's a vehicle/foot pursuit you keep the air open as much as possible. what she's doing is tying up the air for a long period of time so if the officer screams shots fired or mva no one will hear it. they do not need the plate all they need is direction and vehicle description....

    • @xCautions
      @xCautions 11 років тому +15

      iliftbro uhh ur dumb. they need the plate. What if the plates of that car had an APB out for kidnapping or some shit where someone was in the trunk. They need to know that there might be someone being held against their will in the car or some shit. plates can provide useful info

    • @iliftbro413
      @iliftbro413 11 років тому +31

      You're obviously not involved in LE. LAPD is one of the finest departments in the world. Everyone single one of their vehicles has an MDT (if you don't know what that is I'm not explaining it, use you LE knowledge if u have any). All those officers are not going to type in that plate while they're enroute to back up a veh pursuit. He stated why he was chasing it, if the plate comes back to anything worth mentioning the dispatcher will run the plate and notify (for example) that vehicle is stolen, or is wanted for a robbery. You don't constantly repeat it, its not like responding officers are going to look at cars plate to see if that's the one

    • @72Disco1998
      @72Disco1998 11 років тому +6

      iliftbro You obviously have never been a 911 operator! Mistakes happen smart ass! Yes they have an MDT with the incident that may be updated but when it comes to an officer going after a bad guy they are not going to stop and look at their MDT! They are going to gather any info over the air in order to do their jobs. So before you start pointing fingers you may want to sit in their shoes for awhile.

    • @72Disco1998
      @72Disco1998 11 років тому +2

      No reason to call names. I never saw your post. But when it comes to being a 911 operator I know my stuff. So sending me messages of I am stupid is pretty much like you are three years old. Trust me hombre I could dispatch circles around your tired ass.
      But please do not send me this crap. You sound like a broken record. So stop trying to show you are the God of all 911 operators because your are not.

    I wasn't LAPD; but I was a cop for 23 years.
    I've rolled code 3 (lights and siren) to 'Officer Needs Help' calls to assist and/or save law enforcement officer(s).
    I've even called for 'Emergent Back-up' myself; I was grateful I heard sirens coming closer and then suddenly other law enforcement officers ran up to help me.
    I miss rolling code 3 to save life. It was a special job to help others.

      Back in 04 I bought a 99 cvpi from Broward SO in FL it has been a supervisors car and was immaculate.
      In fact after taking it to Ford to be service I discovered whoever had it before they threw all kinds of performance parts, cold air intakes, and severe duty suspensions and shocks on it.
      I drove this car coast to coast 6 times in 2006 and it was flawless and ran faster than a scalded dog.
      They also did a weird tune to the ECU that I'm guessing took off the top speed limiter as I got it to 155 on I-80 going through Wyoming which was weird because my other cvpi topped out 130ish.
      Never run a cvpi that fast though it's terrifying...it doesn't feel the same as doing that in a corvette... I'm guessing all the extra weight.

      at any given time, there are at least 2 airships up. there is a constant need for them (from backups and pursuits to the more mundane roof/backyard checks). the only time they are not constantly roving is during truly bad weather (but they'll still come out for emergencies)

      +skrivbok Bunch of Europeans want to come over to US to be a police officer there. It's not easy and it is hard. You have to know a lot and know more then your average american applying. What's gunna happen when you are not selected into the LAPD for some reason like your oral board etc. Happens a lot. People go on that are prepared and are a suitable candidate but are denied. Have another department in mind. Smaller one would be smart (If you get denied for any reasons, like oral board, fitness etc.) Good luck. And I hope you're not sitting on your computer fantasying about it. It will not happen that way. If you're not fit enough now, do something. Not enough knowledge? Learn. Believe me. I'm on the same boat as you. Just hope you're prepared to abandon ship.

    • @こんにちはこんにちは-d9l
      @こんにちはこんにちは-d9l 9 років тому +2

      +skrivbok Also consider what's wrong with your own country. Not saying you are. But I dislike it when people chose a department or agency over it's uniforms, cars, etc. What's the crime rate in your country, what's the excuse for not being a police officer there.
