All those officers are not going to type in that plate while they're enroute to back up a veh pursuit. +skrivbok Bunch of Europeans want to come over to US to be a police officer there. It's not easy and it is hard. You have to know a lot and know more then your average american applying. What's gunna happen when you are not selected into the LAPD for some reason like your oral board etc. Happens a lot. People go on that are prepared and are a suitable candidate but are denied. Have another department in mind. Smaller one would be smart (If you get denied for any reasons, like oral board, fitness etc.) Good luck. And I hope you're not sitting on your computer fantasying about it. It will not happen that way. If you're not fit enough now, do something. Not enough knowledge? Learn. Believe me. I'm on the same boat as you. Just hope you're prepared to abandon ship.
+skrivbok Also consider what's wrong with your own country. Not saying you are. But I dislike it when people chose a department or agency over it's uniforms, cars, etc. What's the crime rate in your country, what's the excuse for not being a police officer there.
Angel Pliego J.R Ignore the idiot. I'm from Toronto but love LA as a city although I've never actually been to South LA only passed through it. It really is intriguing to see the dichotomy between rich and poor in LA. How is it that gangs have such a stronghold in these lower income neighbourhoods?
because if the crime rate became out of control the schooling system would become worse, their pay would get worse, the city would get run down, their life would become worse, etc.
Yup. Being phased out mostly for Explorers with V6 EcoBoost turbos since the Vic was discontinued from production by Ford. The V6 EcoBoost is more efficient and faster. Doesn't sound as cool though.
I'm retired LA county sheriff's department and I remember just being out of the academy and actual on the street after doing my routine stuff that you have to do at the jail for a year and a half I was heading back with one of the sergeants and it was a long day I wanted to get home and sleep and we had a code 3 officer needs assistance let me tell you one thing when you hear that call no matter how tired or what's in your way even if you're eating you drop everything we were 7 minutes away I was the driver I must have broke the sound barrier I got there the sergeant handled the officer they got injured I chased the subject through the projects by myself other officers were in route and I remember when I caught up to him and he fell to the ground and accidentally got roughed up pretty bad I guess he missed his footing and he hit himself a couple times but I carefully picked them up and handcuffed them dust them off to make sure he was okay and then took them back and set them on the curb well I gave him a little bit of a taco sauce in his eyes and other places but yeah when an officer needs assistance you take care of him are you whatever you're doing it stops at that minute and you get there as quickly as you can

Nothing like the sound of that bad ass motor. I would give 1 ball to have a full 7 nights with my OWN fully equipped cruiser.
Bahahaha!
+Joshua Hoffmier That doesn't mean shit bud. Have you ever driven one?
Well then I don't understand why you would say that? If you own one, you should damn well know that those CVPI V8's are no pushover, and that power means about an ounce.

*At home with gf*
"What would you like for dinner?"
"I'd like to go to Romano's."
"Ok. Get dressed."
"It's like 45 min away...maybe more with traffic."
"Lol. You sure about that?"
*hops in Crown Vic*
*turns on lights*
*puts on Aviators*
*drives away like a boss*
that brought back some memories 31 years on the Job I love it.
Oh, man that looks like so much fun...owning the streets and looking oh, so sharp in a black and white. The perfect recipe for washing up a good deal of static testosterone. Wish I was a kid again and I'd join the department.
I wish there were more videos like this on UA-cam. I always watch it again whenever it pops up on the right
The Crown Vic has a special place in my heart. The thing was a beast and nothing beats that engine. The Explorer has more room and handles better, but it breaks down more. I really miss the V8 sound.
In my country we don't have crown vics 😢😢 You Americans are so lucky to have such amazing cars.
Awesome video!! I've always wanted a code 3 video like this, awesome quality with radio transmissions. Perfection. Hope there are more to come!
Best response video on UA-cam :D I come back every time just for that engine
Hands down the best code 3 video I've come across here…And it’s the original one - unlike the many douchebag’s trying to post it as their own.
Great video! I don't think my nerves could handle driving in oncoming lanes and through red lines. Much respect to the police who can do this kind of work, and driving.
I always come back here every once in a while just for the quick adrenaline ;)
LAPD FTW!
Good luck!!!

Hey thanks :)
skrivbok I'm with you dude!
3:16 that voice crack tho
Remember when "ride along" was a thing! This is even better because you don't have to be possibly in the mist of danger!!
LAPD THE BEST POLICE DEPARTAMENT ON THE WORLD ! :D
Gotta love the sound of those Crown Vics. That motor and that transmission whine, the best. 👌
So rude of a criminal to interrupt dinner 😠
4:15 oh I saw this in a music tribute video
slauson and broadway is a crazy neighborbood right there by 110 freeway

Story of my life, you plan to get food with your buddies, and then *BOOM* there's a call
I live around here!!!!! Dang I know every place of this video lol
Angel Pliego J.R What's bad about the area?
Angel Pliego J.R Ignore the idiot. I'm from Toronto but love LA as a city although I've never actually been to South LA only passed through it. It really is intriguing to see the dichotomy between rich and poor in LA. How is it that gangs have such a stronghold in these lower income neighbourhoods?
Damn LAPD is good, very fast and safe driving and sounds like they had a ton of officers responding!
because if the crime rate became out of control the schooling system would become worse, their pay would get worse, the city would get run down, their life would become worse, etc.
0:24 ah that transmission whine
One of the best police video quality for a police on board camera !
Responding to Code 3 in LA must sound really terrifying
Gotta Love The Sound Of The Engine Reving, Tires Skidding And Sirens Being Activated
Is that a V8 engine?
Yup. Being phased out mostly for Explorers with V6 EcoBoost turbos since the Vic was discontinued from production by Ford.
The V6 EcoBoost is more efficient and faster. Doesn't sound as cool though.
Wheels Screaching, BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR, and *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* while the red and blue turn on is just awsome!
Came back Jan. 1, 2016 for my V8 fix.
lapd has the most professional radio dispatchers! Clear, concise, calm.
“grab a quick bite and then be off and running?”
quick bite : *last online 9 years ago*
That vic roar’s hella strong
The guy's voice sounds like one of the cop's from End of Watch
What a big flim 😌💙🤍❤️
I got an adrenalin rush, and I'm not even driving🤣🤣🤣🤣
I'm retired LA county sheriff's department and I remember just being out of the academy and actual on the street after doing my routine stuff that you have to do at the jail for a year and a half I was heading back with one of the sergeants and it was a long day I wanted to get home and sleep and we had a code 3 officer needs assistance let me tell you one thing when you hear that call no matter how tired or what's in your way even if you're eating you drop everything we were 7 minutes away I was the driver I must have broke the sound barrier I got there the sergeant handled the officer they got injured I chased the subject through the projects by myself other officers were in route and I remember when I caught up to him and he fell to the ground and accidentally got roughed up pretty bad I guess he missed his footing and he hit himself a couple times but I carefully picked them up and handcuffed them dust them off to make sure he was okay and then took them back and set them on the curb well I gave him a little bit of a taco sauce in his eyes and other places but yeah when an officer needs assistance you take care of him are you whatever you're doing it stops at that minute and you get there as quickly as you can
Any advice for a rookie.
This is the way it was back then....
The police deserve to be paid twice as much. Defund the criminals!
the sound of the 4.6 v8 Crown Vic never gets boring
