In hindsight I think using the Bolt on a Citizen as soon as you can get your scout to their base could be a way to stop the rush? That's a big hit to their economy, and also Bolting an Atlantean military unit always seems such a waste because none of them are exceptionally good.

I like just fast castling with kronos because you get the extra protection with two myth units getting gifted to you.

no it's not... It's all Kronos has going for it, is its' ability to rush and put pressure early. Kronos has nothing else going for it aside from that.

I think you built the wrong units for countering their units. Murmilos countered your cavalry, turma counter your archers. If you built a barracks, hoplites wouldn't be countered by either of their units. The Atlanteans can't build general archers before the heroic age

In Retold Murmillo isn't a hard counter to cavalry anymore (edit: apparently never has been), there's no bonus damage. It does win against Hippeus one on one, but it takes a while.
