If you want to get more usage out of the boar god power, I'd recommend sending it to his death before the timer runs out, at least then he'll deal some damage before expiring
I used to main Loki back in the days and went all in second age with the other god power that destroys towers, pumping hersirs, throwing axeman and some cav and the myth horn guy that goes BWAAAH. It was so broken, basically one small engagement and I had 2-3 extra myth units out of nowhere, sap a tower with god power or use it to take down half the town center, throwing all my units at the TC. They apparently nerfed this tactic. Now it takes forever to spawn myth units and the sapper thing barely scratches town centers (and I think we had horses from barracks instead of longhouses or hersir from barracks, so it was a pretty easy tactic)
when you had army lead around 12:00, instead of pushing you should have took the second TC near the healing springs, and used fort GP in between 2nd TC/healing spring to fortify the forward position. then use boar GP to help in case he tried to push
I'm absoutely still learning, haven't played since the first release, but I think norse second tc is fine in this situation. just go berserk when you need to and full boom regardless
Loki Rush seems nice, but I miss the Thor Axeman rush from back in the day. Thor's dwarves chop faster and minimize your need for food, letting it be saved for aging up faster than the Loki version, and letting you push out axemen much earlier. Won my one and only ranked game with it, just before the Titans expansion released!
It's pretty much never a good idea to engage the enemy when they use sth like the flaming weapons it's not an efficient trade just kite away and pepper them with ranged.
A lot of people who aren't aware don't realize Northern European languages diverged quite a bit from Old Norse over the centuries. The only place where it relatively kept the same linguistic roots was Iceland. Which is why Icelanders can mostly understand the old sagas with relative ease compared to their Norse European cousins.
"I need to get better at noticing when things happen"
You and me both, bro.

I tried this today and it took 12 Hersirs barely winning against 5 minotaur and hoplites to spawn 1 myth unit... I miss old AoM
can't wait to see you take on the Atlantean part of the campaign. Lots of titans to fight

You needed to use the second fort, you had enough favor.
Takes a long time to build though.
@@taylankammer sure but it still helps out if used preemptively.
@@taylankammerit also can be sped up dramatically if you use your troops to help build it. You don't have to let it build on its own.
I guess you could say, he had a Masterplan
You shouldn’t get the pierce armor against Norse. Their only pierce damage is godi. They have none in classical age
Buildings maybe

Thank you for playing Age of Mythology. I like your style good sir.
You are playing like aoe2, use myth units ;)

First on a viper video lets go!
I dont see a massive improvement in graphics. 22 years and this is the best they can do?
What do you expect? It is still in the same engine.
OK.
