You should try listening to the lesser known Abba songs. There are so many "hidden gems" besides the hits. Listen to the whole albums The Visitors and Super Trouper and skip the tracks you recognise. And then maybe do the same with Arrival and The Album
@@standersson6420 They have a few clunkers as well, but I expect with certainty that all 10 on the new album will be top notch, or they would not release them. No problem having an 8 or 9 song album. They have ten. I expect all killer, no filler.
You wait yntil you hear "DON'T SHUT ME DOWN". It is classic Abba and is emotional. I had a lump on my throat even after playing it 10 times now and the words explain everything positively :)
Breathtaking, so so stunningly beautiful. To think Today in 2021with everything that as gone on in the last 12 months or so they have put a lot of smiles back on so many faces of people around the world. No questions that they still have the magic, We love you ABBA nd your still very dear to our hearts.♥
Thanks for reacting! At last good news for 2021.. quality music never dies. You should react to their second song "Don't shut me down", another instant classic!
I believe the last bit of the video, where they're on stage in front of "ABBA" spelled in lights is an example of the live action capture of what the VR tour is going to look like.
Thanks for the ABBA. Bjorn 'lyricist' saind when he hard Benny's medley he knew it had to be about ABBA. Benny said he called the girls and asked if they'd sing it. He said they came to the studio and he played it for them on the piano. right then they started working out harmonies for it. He also said when they started singing it "ABBA came out. Bjorn talked about how honored and wonderful it was to work with them again. You just put the song in front of them and they deliver. If you do go to the concert try to document as much as you can for us. I'd love it. The other song is great too and features Agnetha.
A very touching song/story of their careers over the years the bonds that they still have all these years later. Also a testament and a feeling of thanks to their fans
Great reaction! So sensational even now! What an incredibly gorgeous song. The writing, arrangement, musicianship, and vocals are spectacular and measure up to their brilliance! "It all comes down to love," makes me cry every time I see it, but in a joyful way! "Do we have it in us, I believe it is in there." Let's tell ourselves that on a regular basis. Just a pop band?!
Anni-Frid was recording up to 1996 and Agnetha continued until 1987 then had a break and came back with new material in 2004 and 2013. Just pointing out that the girls had careers after ABBA so there was not a 40 year gap between the last ABBA release and the new 2021 songs. Both new songs are a testament to how durable and authentic their sound is - it's not an insult to say they could easily have both been on the last ABBA album.
Abba are perfectionists. The music is so catchy with so many hooks under the vocals. The lyrics and the vocals are so expressive. The whole is a work of fine art.
ABBA are back, that is something I never thought would ever happen. 40 years since their last album. These new songs are amazing. The vocals, the instrumentation, it's all there, and it's hard to believe that Annie is 71 and Frida is 74, almost 75. These songs are by far superior to anything being produced today. I can't wait to hear the rest of the upcoming new album. 👍👍🤗
Hi Harry. I am now 58 and a grandpa. I saw Abba in Melbourne, Australia in 1977, at the Town Hall, and at their concert. Thank you for sharing your reaction. I am so grateful that they have given us a new gift. Sending our live to you, from Australia.
Thanks for the reaction! If you haven’t already got it planned then you need to check out the second single, “Don’t shut me down”. It’s got more of a disco vibe almost like “Dancing Queen”.
I loved all you said, your thoughts were beautiful and right on spot. But this I'll take with me: *_"It's a good time to be alive"_* Nodding against ABBA too... (:
You are spot on about it being about the group. Listen to the other track, that is aimed at the fans, it has such clever lyrics, all about the comeback and being 'Abbatars'.
This song will be a classic just like there other songs, Coming from a 40 + Years True Blue Aussie Abba Fan, 1977 Abba Tour they were Ridicoulos Huge here in Australia, Australia Catapulted them to there Fame, All there Singles they released Here went to Number 1, There will be no Band like Abba Again in this life Time, So i saviour every time i Hear them God bless ABBA
Thank you so much for your warm and very thoughtful commentary. How perfect that ABBA came back after all this time, right at this moment, to remind us about compassion, honesty, forgiveness and faith in each other.
Hahahahaha. No song like the Dancing Queen. Wait for it. Your reaction to the second song will throw away any doubt of that. If you didn't know, you would think it's a song from the 70's that you just missed listening to back then. Even the recording sound is the same. No computers like today. A real mixing table. session musicians and NO autotune. This is the real thing.
Amazing songs, both of them! Although, seeing as they won't be on stage themselves during the upcoming live shows, it would have been even more of a treat if they would have done a proper music video for this song, with them as they are now. However, we're certainly still happy with what we are getting - a whole new album in November!
they have always said they want to be remembered for being young and full of energy thats why they never came back and they are doing this project and also why they turned down 1 billion dollars. was going to be 100 concerts in 1 year also because at the time they said they was to old.
I think that Frida put in her two big sorrows in her life losing both her husband to cancer and daughter in a traffic acident and we all can feel it. With Agnethas high notes and the brilliant anthem like Benny Björn music this will be iconic.
ABBA always lived like pretty normal people, Even when among being as big as anyone 45 years ago. By living a pretty normal, but extremely wealthy everyday life on giant properties not getting wasted every day or touring much had them all reach their 70s with ease. I expect at least one more album after ‘voyage’ in two years. They will all reach at least 85.
My great hope for the upcoming concerts in April next year is that they will come out as themselves now for the encore last song, Thankyou For The Music as it will bring the audience to their feet and honour them for the geniuses they truly are.
Beautiful song very good. Thank you Harri for playing this comeback song. I am requesting you do a Barry Gibb comeback song. It is called....Home Truth Song....although his brothers are gone he's trying to survive through his music. Love to you Harri!
I don't want to spoil, but please, listen soon to the other new ABBA song "Don't Shut Me Down". I wish you a happy surprise ;-) Addendum: I should have heard your comment until the end before writing ... so it might not be that big surprise after all
Some years ago they were offered 3 BILLION DOLLARS if they would get back together, tour for one year and play 150 shows. Unanimously, they said no. The final couple of years that they were together was very hard on the, especially Agnetha (blond). She had two very young children and as a result she hated going on tour! She felt that she was a bad mother for leaving her little boy and girl in the hands of others. She was very frustrated which effected other band members. She and Bjorn divorced in 1979 and it was a pretty fast downward spiral from there. I am so glad to hear that they were able to let all of their angst go and become good friends again. Frida and Agnetha always seemed to truly enjoy each others company, it was obvious just from some of the video that was shown.
HI HARRI, "WE HAVE A STORY AND IT HAS SURVIVED". THIS COMEBACK OPENING SONG IS BOTH HISTORICAL AND EMOTIONAL. I TEND TO AGREE WITH YOU THAT THEIR ABSENCE MUSICALLY HAS PRESERVED THEIR VOICES. AND FOR YOUR INFO, THE WORD "ABBA" APPEARS IN THE BIBLE (ROMANS 8:15) WHICH MEANS "FATHER". IT CARRIES SIGNIFICANCE AND A BLESSING. BY THE WAY, I DO NOT BELIEVE IT IS MERELY A COINCIDENCE THAT ABBA HAVE THEIR COMEBACK RIGHT NOW. COVID-19 HAS CAUSED A LOT OF NEGATIVITY & DESTRUCTION. TAKE CARE HARRI FROM EMILIO IN ADELAIDE CITY IN AUSTRALIA
it's funny cause officially ABBA never broke up they were just taking a break that lasted for about 40 years 😅 Like you said neither Agnetha and Frida haven't done that much music on their own these last 40 years. They haven't been touring the world and singing night after night. I agree with you they pretty much sound the same as they did back in the days!
HEY HARRI TRY TO GET HOLD OF THE LYRICS OR GET THE VIDEO WITH THE LYRICS AT THE BOTTOM OF THE SCREEN. THE LYRICS ARE SO PROFOUND AND MEANINGFUL. THE TITLE SPEAKS OF THEIR SITUATION, BUT IT SPEAKS TO OTHER PEOPLE LACKING FAITH BECAUSE OF WORLD EVENTS & LIFE
@@Clavinovaman I know. I was just giving info on when they actually recorded the song. They had planned to release it earlier but the pandemic slowed things down.
Just one simple song is enough to prove ABBA’s smashing superiority in comparison to like 95 % of the current pop music.
I couldn't agree more, except it being 100% and not 95%. They're in a league of their own.
Only 95%? Abba's worst can top much of the 'best' we hear today!
they make Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga look old when it comes to quality music
Never was a big ABBA fan but this is the best song Ive heard in years.
I am an ABBA fan and I think it is one of their best songs ever. Stunningly beautiful and inspirational!

@@lionheartroar3104 It's a beautiful song, indeed! Check out their other new tune "Don't Shut Me Down"-- it's definitely a hit!
Don't shut me down is much better. This is schmalzy and sentimental.

Hearing their voices, it's unbelievable they are all over 70 years old
Thanks, I've been curious about their new songs. You're right, they are still ABBA.
They've been around since 1972, charting worldwide since 1974, so closer to 50 years.
The Abbatars (avatars) look amazing! I can’t wait to hear reactions to the actual show.
I'm crying seeing the ABBAtars on stage.
The perfect song for entering a stage. Preparing us for what to come...
