THATS an easy pick considering the line up is insufferable poser acts. Besides ministry & down. Flaming lips etc. Acid Bath was one of the greatest and lost unique metal bands of all time. Most relatable and not pretentious like these other hack queens!
I saw them several times in and around Lafayette, La. back in the mid 90’s. Those shows were some of my favorite memories as a teen. I will never forget the drummer sneaking me into a show once by letting me carry a piece of his kit in. I was only 17 and to my horror it was 18 and up… they were great guys. I hope this isn’t a one time show so I can see them again!!!!

Also, yes the band was from Houma. I grew up there and used to see them play all the time. I was in high school when they put their demo out. The members were all from the surrounding area, Houma was kind of the central location and the biggest city in that area. They were not a New Orleans band, everyone just lumps every band from Louisiana into New Orleans because that's the only city they know lol. They played there but it was a bit of a different scene. Oh, and on the spoken word poetry that was how they always opened every show. The band would be on stage making random feedback noises while Dax read (always something different) poetry before kicking into their set.
I saw it right after it was posted on Dax's page which I've been following on Facebook for years. I thought I was dreaming but I'm not. I saw what I've been told was the last Agents gig of their one tour. I don't know how but I'm really going to work on getting there.

I’ve done sick new world twice. It’s not that bad. It’s pretty well structured man. You get set times etc. the first year i went I was worried about it all being in 1 day but it flows pretty well.

Where did you hear about who's doing what vocally? Thats a BIG responsibility on Sammy's shoulders and would find Dax standing on stage twiddling his thumbs for quite a large amount.

Maybe said he couldn't sing like that anymore to change the subject haha. There is definitely songs he and Sammy could go back and forth but Cassie or Cheap Vodka just wouldn't be the same without Dax
Maybe even Slayer though... since King is out promoting a solo project and Slayer did a one off show... so far that's kind of what this is. Dax has a solo record coming out and only one Acid Bath reunion show booked.

I’ll just be happy with the fact I seen and hung out with dad plenty before they were trendy What so ever. Can’t believe he’s actually going through with it. He’s a completely different person now and was always against any idea of it for multiple reasons. They deserve a bigger font over queens of all people. Queens of hack age.
This type of "This band belongs to this specific branch genre" bullshit is the one thing I will scoff at loudly. They're a METAL band who blends a lot of different elements including baroque and folk music... I give a runny diarrhea shit which metal subgenre you do or don't think they belong in.
