    Thieves guild and brotherhood would be awesome. Finally an active ability related to those professions..

    In addition to being able to scribe our already existing abilities, both weapon, guild and class skills, being able to also color them would be cool.

      Well you can colour some already, more will follow but it has nothing to do with scribing

    Great points to bring up.
    I'm banking all the parts I get atm that, pretty much because the two characters doing things in Gold Road aren't really ones I'd choose to get Scribing 1st.
    I guess I'd like to see them expand into WW, Vamp, DB and TG.. my Vampire mass murderer... I mean DB agent could use some love.
    But what I'm truly looking forward to is Pet Dye...

    They already said the system idealy will expand into classes and styles will expand into pets. They focused on making the system available to everyone via universal skill lines first to get a sense for balancing and exclude no one. They started with 11 grimoires, I think they'll slow down to about 5-7 per year, and we won't see class skills until at least 2026 to get extra time to tune them. So here's my predictions:
    2025: Round out the remaining active universal skill lines - undaunted, vampire, werewolf, support, and psijic order (5)
    2026: 1 class skill for each class from 1/3 of their skill lines (7)
    2027: universal skills, start doubling up on lines like soul magic and mages guild, add active skills to passive lines like thieving, dark brotherhood, ledgerdemain, scrying. (5)
    2028: 1/3 class skills (7, maybe 8 with new class)
    2028: universal skills (5)
    2029: 1/3 class skills (8)

    Agree, all the grindy complaints are a little over the top. I love that scribing fills in a lot of skill gaps for races/ classes that didn't previously have access to them.
    Looking forward to the future of scribing.

    Before it launched i really thought the mages guild would have been a summon that you could choose as permanent or temporary based on the focus you picked.
    Eg. A perm pet for half damage. A temp 20s pet for double damage. A temp 10s pet for healing, tanking, cc, etc. When it hits somthing, apply a 10s debuff affix.
    There isn't any reason to segrigate pets to only sorc, warden, and necro. I think classes outside those would like the option and players who want a pet army would double down by playing 1 of those 3.

    What I want, desperately, is for them to not add new skills but go back and change the weapon skill lines to be scribe-able to a degree. I would love to be able to change the skills to deal lightning damage and have lightning effects on my sorc. Have a sword based skill line that feeds off my magicka instead of stamina. I will never not be upset that the trailers keep showing my elven queen slaying as a spellblade then NOT having that be a skill line lol
    Skill wise for classes I want more summons. Let necros finally live their zombie army fantasy and give me more daedra and lightning as a sorc.
    As a casual player, the ink drops sucks. I can't really experiment with it and it sucks. And my poor self is weeping scraping together the gold for it. Still fun though! Loving the soul magic spells. They fit the theme I'm going for and even if not the best or really viable I love it. I really want a scrip/affix or whatever to change soulburst and contingency to be at a target location rather than on me, but eh. It would open up a lot of options. Maybe even one that has soul burst work like lingering torment, initial blast, charge up, second blast.

    I agree with all the standard wants and complaints (mainly just make scripts account wide)
    I'd love to see World, Assault, and Support added. I like thematic builds but there are some Vampire skills that I just can't justify putting on the bar because I have to remove something far more useful. Let me spice those skills up a bit
    Same for Thieves Guild and DB. Give some stealth or assassination skills. Why not make a shadowy teleport?

    To be honest, i am a bit dissappointed with scribing as it is now. There are some great additions like Vault for an archer or Shield Throw for a tank but it still feels lacking. I havent done much playing around with it yet. Mostly becourse I am kind of busy with the dailys to collect various scripts. The good thing is, that you can easily make an important buff accessable to an unfortunate class-weapon combination now.
    What I would have liked, would have been, if you were able to alter existing skills. Stuff like changing my poison skills from the bow line to bleed skills. Or when I get two ways to get major brutality in a certain class-weapon combination, to change one of them to maybe major force. I also dont understand, why Boneyard doesnt has a slow/root effect. I really would like to add that to it or at least change its damage type to poison or disease, since those two would fit my necromancer better than cold damage.

    As a werewolf player, id really appreciate them moving the active buffs to the passives that way we can get new sorts of access to buffs to keep up with the stat inflation meta. That and if they eyer added more werewolf skills, maybe an actual bite attack to help them interact with more status effects, it would be neat.
    For sure they need to go over the last updates changes again cuz the terrified effect is essentially a nerf considering you gotta dead cast it every 10 seconds to empower your nerfed spammable to levels it doesnt reach anymore

    Oh what about adding ones to the crafting where in alchemy you throw a potion bomb at people and for clothing you chase ppl with scissors and for woodworking you get an axe 😂

    So imo they could take the vampire passive and put it in one of the pvp skill lines. Then maybe rework the vampire a little and give it scribing.
    But im a nightblade and i love playing a vampire, i already did in skyrim. For me they dont have to change it, i see the problems with it tho

    I can only hope they start with a major QoL update to scribing, it's waaaay too grindy to get into at the moment.

      I finished it in the first 4 days for my main, alts are the "problem", but that gets mitigated by just taking your time with them.
      Intro quest is 15m, full quest you only need to do on your main is 3h, 9 free mage guild scripts, 9 dailies per day for 9 more scripts.. so you're done in about 3-4 days of doing dailies, which take about 1-2h each.
      For the class script, depends what you do, but I found vet random dungeons to be the easiest because I have 13 alts and you get 2 scraps per.
      Others did it through trials in the first day.
      For alts, just buy the 3 new scripts from the vendor each week. You can buy, bank, then buy again if you just want to do it on 1 character.
      Tldr: Main, about 5h the 1st day, 2h each day after for 4 days, total 10-12h. Alts are in no rush, vendor is low effort.

      So... days of doing menial tasks to collect everything on one character, plus the ink needed to actually make any spells. Psijic was a tedious skill line and you could unlock it completely in an afternoon of playing.
      What's the point of a system you're supposed to experiment with and find unique combinations for if the grind and materials required are a barrier too high for the average player?
      People need to stop defending the current system... scripts should unlock account-wide as a bare minimum.

      They can be an MMO and not completely insult our time by requiring running the same tedious daily tasks for months on end just to be able to put together a few weak skills.

    Fr this should be a yearly thing. It's too big of a system to be just done with it. They could also add a couple of weapon skill lines and add scribing skills to those. We need more variety of skills for this game. If ZoS wants this game to keep going they shouldn't just add new dlc. We should get new skills to play with and that's why gold road has been great so far for me at least

      For example and polearms skill line and a unarmed skill line would be sick. Polearms could work around a 2h spear like weapon that'll be slower but would give more reach for melee users and go a tank way with a smaller spear and sheild combo. Unarmed could be used for claw and fist weapons that'll focus using martial arts and possibly debuffing the enemy. I've also seen potential for a new staff class weapon since we have restoration and destruction staff. Maybe an alteration staff for the tanks? Could see a lot of nice elemental sheild abilities or a telekinesis pull taunt ability similar to the dragonknights as well as some stunning abilities

    The main problem is what is the point of having new skills? Overland content can be beaten by passive AOE skills, infinite archive is pretty much a forgotten system already, dungeons are too easy, trials are a decent goal but are a heavy investment for the average player and you are either score pushing and very few scribing skills we be used in that endeavor or you are being pulled along by a veteran group as quickly as possible. 99% of the content is trivial and too easy to need to do anything from gold road...this was always the problem with spell crafting...there are a ton of skills that are underwhelming that could have been spiced up and are ignored for the obvious best choices, spell crafting has added 3999 more of these skills.

    They kinda painted themselves into a corner. If they make good skills morph pvp will cry but if they keep it watered down pve will cry. Good luck devs.

    The cast times kills the viability of scribing for me. Just feels too clunky/jank imo.
