Back in the 1980s, I worked with a man who used to train German shepherd dogs for the police departments and security companies. It takes a lot of time to train dogs . One thing I learned is that dogs have different personalities like most animals, I remember he used to tell right away which dogs were good training material, and sometimes a dog would learn very fast. Other times, it takes longer,I remember ( he was a Vietnam veteran, and that's where he learned to train military dogs) he told me that German shepherd dogs are the best for that kind of work but that dog breed takes longer to mature, it's important to get the right temperament dog or things like this can happen, many people believe that by having a German shepherd dog it all it takes.

I don't train police dogs, and the most I've ever trained were my own dogs, but do you even know what K9 training is like? if they're on the street it's because they're competent to do the job, but of course they're living beings who sometimes don't do exactly what they're supposed to because they still think for themselves, the dog that attacked the policeman isn't right either because it's not trained to bite its owner, but you don't speak ill of that one.
