Some say Splitsie is the Greeble king, but I'm pretty damn convinced you are. simply because you take an open minded approach to design, you experiment with things to get it looking just right. Keep up the awesome designs I can't Wait to see how each room will turn out
Sooo I have arrived here after 3 days. A few things -> fighting Reavers and salvage what's left of them is something really interesting - would be nice to see this in episodes too! As for the towers I would suggest to upgrade your blueprint to include 2x nanobots, far away from each other (or maybe one is enough? I do always have two) and have some space for a projector itself inside the turrent, as deep as possible. And the projection should be always on. This way nanites will always fix it properly. As for the production room, I assume you are aware of that - those assemblers do have ports for the speed modules on the bottom. I had to accidentaly skip the part where you did say why you are not gonna to use them (as now you have only 6/8 used). As for the ships, it would be awesome to see a long, narrow and tall hangar just for the prometheus. I am aware it may take forever, but you could actually use your rafineries to refine the stone out if it. Also, talking just for myself, designing the rooms and completing them is awesome, but it has been already 4 episodes with mainly this - time for some adventure! :D PS. waiting for more!
I am planning on doing a bit more of that sort of thing soon, take a bit of a break from building as I have spent a fair few episodes on that haha. I think one nanobot should be enough especially since I have edited it so that they have a 5x welding speed from stock settings 😊. I could place a projector in there a bit later on which I might actually do, but I will see how they go now with just the Build and Repair running, I might be able to get away without having any projectors. The plan is eventually to create some MASSIVE hangars for the prometheus and then another ship which I am planning on building 😊
Hi, nice episode (as always 😉👍 ), for the "Build Vision" copy/paste = For Copy : Lock at the block, "Ctrl"+"ScrollDown" (for the old Menu) , "Insert" then "PgUp". For Paste : Lock at the block, "Ctrl"+"ScrollDown" (for the old Menu) then "PgDown" i use it for mass renaming 😅 Anyway great job
Yeah I have had exposed rock before in some of my other bases and it does look quite good, I might work that into the design at some point but not sure exactly where I would do that 🤔
A thought about the design process: I often try to think about what a certain part of a building is supposed to be used for. Is this just a structural element, or would it serve some other function? Are there conduits of some kind, will people be walking/climbing here, is this a spot where clutter is likely to gather? I find that having a general idea of that sort of thing helps inform what kind of building parts and textures I decide to use. This is not a comment relating to anything specific in your design of this room, but something I came to think of when you were talking about how you design things. I think you could probably do more with different textures than you're usually doing. That could save you at least some of the grinding out of placed blocks. ----- You may want to consider putting in _something_ that looks like a main control panel in a room like this. It could be one of the many different kinds of control seats, or just an LCD that shows some stats. I would put that sort of thing on one side of the door, and some storage lockers for tools and protective gear on the other.
@@TheGarageGamer86 Yeah, my reasoning was that even if each machine has its own control surfaces, it seems likely that there would be something that would let a shift leader view the overall info, see alerts etc. It shouldn't need a full control room (I'm guessing there will be a master control center for the whole base), just some readouts and a panic button :-D As usual, that's what I would consider doing, but it doesn't mean that you have to.
Amazing vid mate I keep looking forward to each epsiode Thanks for making this. Are you planning on using any automation DLC stuff? Please dont cut the setting up of it as we are all looking for an how to use stuff much like your scriting stuff
Its not the light radius you need to change its the offset, inset lights have the light center to the block not the light itself like the other ones you were using thats why the voxels in the celling are glowing.....
What about putting glass behind the beam blocks so you can see the asteroid but still be air tight? You would also be able to see the glow from the lights behind.

Thanks bro!! 😎✌️
Splitsie beter
Love the time laps music adds real mass affect feal to the game which makes your videos all the more enjoyable
The room is incredible but it needs a fish tank
😂😂😂
The room has its moments, but it is very much over designed. To each their own. I do love your videos.
awesome design i like the way you are so particular about the design of things
You should set up those new holo lcds down the hallway for some directional signage.
Yeah I gotta have a look at all the new blocks, I haven't really played around with them at all 😅😂
Stan: "What do we do now?"
Cartman: "What do you mean? Now we can finally play the game."
😂

Thanks for another episode you absolute madman!
The room and hallway look great. Loving the timelapse tunes by the way.
My last dug in base is made from mostly concrete (mod), it looks far from great, but I think I'm ok with that.
Absolutely my pleasure!! 😁✌️

Ohhhh so that's how you do it! Thank mate 😎👌
Maybe after cargo storage, you should do H2,O2 production and storage!
I was actually thinking of sorting out some sort of room with Reactors and batteries but maybe across the hallway from that I will do just that! 😎✌️
Great episode as always.
I highly recommend getting the Easy Block Renaming mod to save yourself a bunch of time.
Keep up the good work mate.
Hmmmmm, I didnt even know such a mod existed!
Watched and Liked 👍
Thanks mate! 😎👌
I think the room looked great with the bare rock. You should use this maybe in other rooms, the glow of the rock may look great in some places.
Can't pressurize voxels so he won't have oxygen in there

Yeah I'm gonna probably add some of the new blocks in there like those inset screens or something like that at the end of the room 😉👌

awesome because I am still yet to get one thing to work be it solar aray or a drone bugger me it is very frustrating
awe hell yeah

True, i didnt realise that.
You need to start adding these to the workshop
You mean the base yeah? 😊
@TheGarageGamer86 yes they are amazing. How do you take blueprints of just the section you are working on?
B
Woot woot
4 episodes for a room no one will ever step foot in again.
What about putting glass behind the beam blocks so you can see the asteroid but still be air tight? You would also be able to see the glow from the lights behind.
I thought about it, but if I was gonna do it I would've made the voxel behind it absolutely perfect and flat 😊
