    The fact that a physician will allow his staff to do the procedure on him and then take the time to go over the results was absolutely incredible.

    A comprehensive introduction. Thanks for making the procedure seem so straightforward. As for your personal demonstration that is very unusual and meant a lot to me. I am having a scan next week so I am mentally prepared. Could I take a Valium tablet to relax if I do get anxious or is that what the Beta thing does?

    Thank you , I am now cancelling this procedure. Ridiculous waste of insurance money, as I do not have any medical rationale for this procedure that's convincing enough to have exposure to the contrast or the scan.

    I just had a CT Angiography Chest w Contrast that was ordered by one doctor and a CTA Coronary ordered by another doctor who is unaware. I think these tests are different, but not sure. Do you need both?

    So you're asked to sign a form asking whether or not you're allergic to the contrast dye and if you need a beta blocker? How the hell would an average person know this? Is this then a waiver of responsibility for them if there is a complication?

    • @moshedayan2810
      @moshedayan2810 Місяць тому

      Beta blockers are used to keep the heart rate below 70 bpm.. Most people can tolerate it... As for the allergy to the contrast, you won't know you are allergic to it unless it's inside you😂.. They should carry out a test a day or two before the scan to check if you are allergic to the contrast

      Unless you go on a rigid diet and assuming no familial high cholesterol you won’t stop the plaques in your coronary arteries growing,but a statin can help,maybe have a rethink.

    • @cocoavideos

      @@JG-hh5rp I haven't had that procedure yet, but am planning to do it. I have, however, had several CT scans with contrast for a different reason and they were pretty simple and nothing to be scared about. You do get a warm sensation from the contrast but it's not uncomfortable or anything and only lasts a short while, maybe a minute. CT scans are pretty fast typically, much shorter than an MRI, although an MRI does not have ionizing radiation. Just ask any questions and bring up any worries as you go, the people I talked to were more than happy to answer questions.
