    Had my first warmoth project done in '92 and it still gets played every single day. Big fan of this company and Aaron is a fantastic spokesperson. But yes, I also want to see the box of horrors!!

    I've now bought 7 Warmoth necks. All of them have been ready to play. Nut cut proper. Frets level. Fit the neck pocket perfectly. Neck straight and responds to small truss rod adjustments. Amazing.

    I just subscribed to your channel. You can never be too old to learn something lol. I've been playing for over 35 years and I'm just getting into it now, maybe it's time to make a guitar that best suits my needs from scratch. I have and owned Many Gibson Les Pauls, Fender Tele's and Strats, Epiphone, PRS, Reverend, Martin, and the list goes on. I can't really say I have a #1 and that's funny. I pick up a guitar just in my mood at the time what I want to play. It can be a baseball neck, a Fast playing radius, and it all depends on what I want at the time. I am not in the camp of what's my favorite neck as long as it's set up right. I am not here to pretend I know everything but, It takes really only a little time to get used to something and I just play away.
    That being said, you never really know unless you try something out. This is why I want to build something, hey, I still don't have a #1 lol.

    I have several Warmoth necks and just never gave it a thought about that index hole..... Thanx for the information! By the way, where you address the hole being left empty on modern styled necks, dare one say "tone chamber", LOL ?

    I wondered about that hole too. A few years back I bought a vintage modern neck with 21 frets, and the hole was just barely visible at the neck-pickguard junction. I contemplated putting a plug in it to hide, but realized that getting a match to the nitro tint would be difficult. After a spell I really forgot that it was there.

    BTW the website states that the Strat replacement neck was "Available in *seven* different construction types." Not 9. 😅

    • @snicker576
      @snicker576 Рік тому +1

      Fender-type guitars are not eligible for tiltback construction, which accounts for 2 of the neck types.

    • @schmoemi3386
      @schmoemi3386 Рік тому

      I'm not sure if I can follow... I just think it's an error on the website. In the neck builder you are actually able to choose between the *9* different construction types Aaron is referring to in the video, 3 of which are the tiltback ones. If these didn't count, we would be left with 6, not 7.

    Thanks so much for the wonderful informative videos and great products. I have assembled two guitars, one strat and one tele both with Warmoth bodies and necks. I was just watching your video, "The Warmoth Story", which talked about starting out as Boogie Bodies. I have what I am told is a Boogie Bodie tele with solid ebony neck, mahogany body with what I think is a ebony cap. There are no logos or numbers on the guitar. Is there any way to tell if this guitar is a real Boogie Body?
