Many thanks for this. My lights have played up for ages but true to form, with MOT approaching, one light is out (not the bulb) so this weekend's job is.....and knocking myself out with the tailgate at some point as well!

Brilliant video. I was lucky that the two clips just needed pulling forward with a pair of thin nose pliers! Happy days
If it helps others my bulbs on a T5.1 were OSRAM C5W 239 12V

Great video. You didn’t show taking the lock mechanism off? It was a fiddle the little tabs on the wiring loom were to Far gone so I put little red spade terminals on the loom and straitened the lugs on the light fittings.
Fitted a reversing camera at the same time. But that’s another story 🤔

Just had the same hitch, managed to reach the two inner bolts with long 10 mm. I guess his model didn't have the handle fitted. Anyway, very helpful vid thanks, I came here from MOT fail, bought two replacement LED lights, then found a break in the exact same place! Used a workaround for now to get the lights working for the test. The main problem is that after market lights don't have the offset, so you need to engineer them a little. There was no seal in place on my van, which explains the problem.

Super Glue is not the best if you want it to be water resistant on a long run.

Thanks for the feedback. The super just holds it in place as the runner is squashed between the lamp holder unit and the back door when you secure the four nuts holding it together. You can do it 👍
