TheRealTraumatize stop talk shit. The beginning of Reggaeton can be traced back to Panama's Spanish Reggae style which was an adaptation of Jamaican Reggae. However, the general consensus is that Reggaeton actually originated in Puerto Rico, where it evolved into Reggaeton as we know it today and gained popularity. Reggaeton was created from reggae. How do did they come up with the name Reggae when Reggae is a name that was created in Jamaica from the name ragga rebel music then changed to Reggae. You don't even know the history go look it up idiot.

Major respect to Chronixx for bringing up the sound frequency issue. All modern day music is recorded at 441hz and 480hz when the natural sound should be at 432. all you DJs and producers watching this video should try tuning and rendering your music at 432 and see what the difference is.

I feel like this interview came at the perfect time for me. I just started getting in to reggae music in the last few months and I can't stop listening to it! I feel so fulfilled when I listen to it and it feeds me in a weird way ESPECIALLY in this hectic ass time we live in!

Hip Hop is a child of Reggae music along with Dancehall & Grime.
Clockwork actually to founders of the hip hop style are from the carribean and they said they where influenced be a wide array of musical styles including toasting which is basically a jamaican version of hip hop
@clockwork search up the founding fathers of hip hop and you'll see a lot of them are Jamaicans who emigrated to the States. DJ Kool Herc was a Jamaican migrant and he's been considered as the founding fathers by many. he brought Jamaican sound system culture to the United States which included setting up big speakers in the street with two turn tables where they would mix and cut the music isolating the drum beat and baseline. King tubby and other Dub Reggae were long doing that in Jamaica before hip hop existed. DJ Kool Herc brought that to the Bronx and would have block parties, but finding the crowds weren't really into Jamaican reggae and dub he decided to bring the same Dj styles to funk and disco. this then developed into the break beat when combined with Latin American drum beats which is seen as the origins of Hip Hop. later another thing he brought was toasting which was when Jamaicans would rhythmically rhyme over a dub reggae beat and that later developed into rap. soundclashes and the rewind are also Jamaican. So hip hop dj battles in the middle of the street with their sound systems also had a Jamaican origin.
I saw him in concert a few months back him Jah 9 and Kelissa, I felt like I under paid! Lol. I have never said that about a concert other than Sade. This guy knows how to entertain and every song of his actually has meaning to it, he speaks to the people, culture. You can tell he's studied his father and other greats because he's into music to place an impact on the world, and not doing it for "the fame" ( media life) like other "artists". I'm just glad to see him finally getting the recognition that he deserves. Him, Kelissa, Jah 9 , Popcaan, Keznamdi, Kranium and Protoje I can go on...I feel like they're representing THIS generations reggae. Just my opinion though! 🤷🏾♀️
I LIVE for real heavy Jamaican accents. I want to be bffs with Chronixx, he has such a great soul and his voice is just pure gold. He is such a wise, intelligent man, I feel like I want him to be my teacher or summ lmao.

Caribbean culture in general and Jamaican culture has contributed is much to Black culture in the United States. Rastafari have produced many important artists and including Bob Marley who is the most famous Rastafarian and reggae artist.

when this artist first appeared on the music seen, his songs sounded like something totally new & unique, the message was universal & still is, a few songs touched me, being personally relatable. Then as his career progressed, i wasn't like on to the next, tho I began to liken him to his contemporaries, like Jessie Royal & Protégé, with whom however his interviews differentiate him, as much as his songs do, a non Jamaica interviewer shows this even more. I see a passionate love for music & the whole aspect of being an artiste, that i can't recall seeing in long time, the type of love for craft that's usually reserved for struggling independent artist & new comers. I really enjoyed this interview it made me wanna be artist again, or reminisce on those days, truthfully I don't follow up music like teen early twenties days & won't go out of my way to listen & buy albums, however in my downtime, his music will be in my playlist, "do it fi di love" it shows.
Omar Groves He's actually the one who made me wanna listen to Reggae and music again. I think he's on to something deeper, to touch everyone in some way. And, most importantly his music has something for everyone. That's unique.

His first show outside Jamaica was in Kenya and it was a peace concert few months to the general election. East Africans had seen the greatness in him as early as 2013. I wish Jamaicans knew how much their music influence East African youths.
Chronixx talking about frequency went over their heads. We function off of vibrations and certain frequencies hit certain chakras that changes your mood and feelings; even have healing powers, this is real life!
