It had the right kind of beat for that with heavytrackers, which was heavily rooted in UK culture/part of reason things like grime/dubstep/jungle raving etc were the rage of the time. BBK Prez T and H all went hard on the grime/rave scene and thats arguably why they were bigger than pabs, was popular culture of the younger generation of the time within london especially. Even though I would personally listen to the Man the Myth over that stuff every time, even the slower H rapping verses on that too. But then as he says you had the backstory too/beef which was big at the time, and h and jme were arguably in their primes, then on top of that it had a very catchy memorable hook, same way you see things blowing on social media on shorts/stories etc with a short catchy hook (take drake as an example/a lot of old school hip hop/rnb tunes which blew up back in the day not on social media obviously), and on top of this, people talking about german whips/foreigns in general, was a big talking point at the time for clout lol. Was not one factor but multiple things coming together essentially in perfect time. Had all the necessary ingredients to blow at that given moment in time when you break down all the different cultural aspects/degrees of marketability.
