Half way through and I can say…. It’s refreshing to see two beautiful women intimately speak about how our doubt can kill our dreams… Yendi understood exactly where Lila was coming from with the ‘expectation agenda’ clearly from her own experiences. What a joy and example it is for other humans to see ourselves and tragedies in people we see as out heroes!!! I am happy in my heart for this!!!

Yendi you have the skill as an interviewer to allow someone to be vulnerable by providing a safe space and protecting them at the same time. I don’t believe I will ever hear your name called in any argument about exploitative interviews. Protoje keeps on rising in my opinion of him, his protection of Lila is admirable and shows his support of the female artists is not for show but he wants the best for them as people first as well as helping them to be the best artist they can be. Lila puts me in the mind of Mary J Blige in the way their voices can convey emotion that touches you deep within

Lila did something for me in this episode and I’m sure she doesn’t know that. Your song true love, the words, the ultimate meaning behind it, really caused me to tear up. Really and truly this was the motivation I needed to keep going. It’s not easy keeping your head up and in a world that is falling apart. Not the world we live in, but the world that I’ve created in my head. A world where there’s all rubies and pearls, rainbows ,and sunshine. I’ve battled with depression for years, and now anxiety. You are truly and inspiration. You said that your dream is to have your story motivate young boys and girls, well just know that dream is already a reality. Love love love this episode 🥺💕. Lila touched my heart, jah know. I’m so excited to see what’s coming next. -Love Deja 💕
