I think just because other teams are stupid doesn't justify making stupid decisions based on their precedent. You don't look at bad deals and aspire to them.

He can play this year out and we can slap the non exclusive franchise tag on him after the year. It gives any team the opportunity to sign him to an offer sheet, and it gives us a chance to match it. I want to see the team that's willing to give him 50+ million a year. Lamar played out his 5th year with no deal and he won playoff games and an MVP.

Once he reached the end of his rookie deal, and wasn’t being signed to an extension, he magically stopped being healthy at the end of both of those seasons, and he didn’t play in the post season at all again until this year, after he got the contract he wanted. And Lamar has never put up passing numbers like Tua did this year, even in spite of winning two individual awards, Josh Allen was more deserving of MVP this past season than Lamar was. Lamar got it because of the teams level of success, even in spite of his mediocre numbers. But you’re trying to push for Tua to be in the situation where he does what Lamar did the 2 seasons before this year. Where the teams on a roll, then all of a sudden his knee hurts too much for him to stand in the pocket and throw the ball as his team makes the playoffs with Snoop Huntley actually winning several games for them and having them in a position to win in the playoffs without Lamar. The most Miami has managed to win in any season, since Tua became the starter, in the games Tua didn’t play in, is 1 regular season game per season, and all those games were horrible games against horrible teams. So please, at least understand what you’re asking for in total. Not just some narrow minded view that stems from your dislike of a guy.

Im a huge Tua fan ! I Think he is the perfect guy for the McDaniel offense. But... With the concussions and hasnt won any playoff games I kinda think Tua should bet on his self and team and play out hs 5th year contract maybe with some incentive bonuses and ball out get to atleast AFC championship game and be the highest paid QB next year . Tua is a very good QB and hopefully he puts it all together this year and Miami makes a playoff run. I dig the yards and the completion percentage just fine but this season I wouldn't mind less of each if it meant more big time throws in big games.
