@@themidens this much more accurately represents what these trails look amd feel like, having actually ridden them. Not sure what you're talking about. GoPro makes everything look like a green trail.
I have to say this looks like some of your best tech riding ever! and OMG that has to be super steep because you can see it on the camera and it looks near vertical in some spots 🥺
Yeah Nick absolute shredding from 7:30 to the end of the video is just absolute sick trail but it’s also 💀💀 if you make one mistake but the highlight for me was at 0:080:230:320:41
Fantastic Lads,Awesome Riding Trails Look Real Technical keep Camera Angles Are Spot On…Can you post link to where I can get a pair ov those bad boy gloves😎
How is that even a trail?!...Most of it looks more like big ruts from a mudslide on the steep side of the mountain 😋I've ridden areas I consider steep downhill but half those slopes look too steep to even stand on let alone build on or ride with any form of sane person control... at the end of the video I kept imagining Trent Reznor yelling "Terrible Line!" 🤣...90s Nine Inch Nails joke incase you're too young to remember that song.
Wow, that was STEEP. If I was good enough to ride a trail like that (I’m not remotely close in this or any parallel universe), that would be the kind of trail I’d go to Whistler bike park for. Are there single black routes down from the top?
@@beno9966 That is admittedly true most of the time, but I was totally caught by surprise both times I fell while I was walking my bike. When I'm riding, I'm very cautious and am prepared to crash, but when I'm just walking down a trail, I am completely caught off guard when it happens. Both times, moss gave way beneath my feet while I was unknowingly standing on a rock. The moss is so thick sometimes, it completely engulfs the rocks. So you'll just be cautiously inching your way down a trail, when all of the sudden you slip and fall on your ass out of nowhere.
My son and I happened on this trail the last weekend of peak running, we loved it, it was so fun. The loam section near the bottom was ridiculously fun.
You mentioned what a great a rider Dave is (yes, definitely) - but you were keeping up with him, so kudos! And thanks for showing those of us who will probably never be able to ride trails like this one, how it's done! Great video!
The dream team
If it looks steep on the GoPro it's fxcking MENTAL in person. Sick ride
I always say that if it looks steep on the action camera, then it's STEEP in real life 😯
360 editing can be misleading given it has spherical distortion.
@@SadokistI find it's a lot truer to life
@@nickthaskater I'm 50/50 on it. The distance ratio is off, but the horizon pitch is closer. I actually think I prefer the normal lens mods.
I wish @vancan could get back to normal view not this Lucas Art shit from starwars. So happy JordanBoostmaster sticks to normal

That was some of the best MTB footage I've watched. Constant steep flow. Amazing riding!

Hay nick just wondering what fov do you use and distortion for your insta360 x3 ❤
I usually just use the default. I think it’s 0.6
super fun trail. kybers is also a good one. doesn't hurt you can swing by dustys after for some beer :)
I like to think I could ride that trail but without someone to follow I would have hucked straight off the side of the mountain in that top section!
Nice! One day, somehow, my old carcass is going to ride top of the world

No wind noise at all! Are you using external mic with your OneX3 setup?
Great video. Thanks!!
Nope! Stereo mode with the insta360 wind covers
13:50 looked kinda out of control :D nice to see You made it ;)
Sick rides as always.
Awesome seeing you handle that janky trail. Looks like controlled chaos.
This trail looks like a handful. Beauty!
you make those double blacks look so easy. i think i was there around that same day… i was the only one on a hardtail that day
love the vids, you should ride in costa rica one day
The only UA-camr I regularly check to see if they’ve uploaded. Love your stuff Nick!!
🙏
It’s sickening how easy you guys make these trails look. I hiked my bike down this trail a few years ago. 😅😅😅
Hiking is harder than biking sometimes. I've been to Whistler twice and have only ever fallen when I was off my bike walking it down a trail.
@@YFZriderdude15 sure, it's harder but the point is, when you fall over off the bike vs on you get less messed up :)

Nice work guys 👌🚵♂️
More hardtail sessions please !
you guys were flying down that trail, did that about 8-9 years ago, and i remember crawling lol that trail is nuts
Where is this?
Where exactly is this park?
Whistler
Do you use lens guards for your insta 360? And if you do how often do you change them out. And your videos just look way better than my 360 videos do
I don't use the lens guard. Filming in 360 mode, 5.7K, vivid colours, -0.5ev, low sharpness
@@VanCan Thanks! So what do you do about scratches then??
Million dollar is a great one too
Maybe it was the camera angle in the beginning when you first started writing it just looked like you rebound was too fast a little bit
Sweet video! You should take some toenail clippers to those zip ties holding that camera on.
God this makes me want to get back out to whistler so badly, such a beautiful day. When was this recorded?
Late August
