I'd love if you explained how to play in lower cap nodewars. Should you focus on going in the middle of the fight or is it more range harass or maybe is worthless and one should swap to succession haha. Would love to hear your take on that.

I'm really glad you like it! :) - Damn it, I forgot the Artifacts.. I knew I forgot something important haha! The Artifacts I use is 2x All Evasion with 4x Waves, or 2x Ranged Accuracy with 4x Marked, but I lose Lightstones on death as a Red player, which is why I'm using these cheap ones. If you are not a Red player, I would suggest going for Untouchable combo if you're Evasion (Iron Wall, Waves, Heart, Disrupt = Untouchable) And 2x Ranged AP with Target Openings if you're a DR build or simply an Evasion build but want more damage (Rage, Marked, Lungs, Strike = Target Openings)@@aeliok
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe Corsair works with Melee AP and not Ranged AP as the class identity when you press P is "Melee". Nice guide and I hope you make the advanced one as well. @@MerquryGaming
In 1v1 she is definitely really strong, there's some counters to us of course, and it's by no means a top duelist, but in general we can definitely do well. Same thing with 1vX, I do 1v1s and 1vX every day and its absolutely a good class for it, but you can get shut down really easy by heavy slow classes, or perma SA classes since you rely so much on grabs vs them, which makes it hard to CC multiple people Large scale I can only go by opinion of my Corsair friends since I don't play it myself, but she's very strong there I do go over this a bit in the advanced guide as well! :)
Hey man, started today with a buddy - can you advise what abilities are essential for onscreen cooldowns? If yours are essential, can you give a brief breakdown of what skills you group together and why? Finding it hard to identify the icons so early 🤣

So the ones that are really important would be "Flow: Wave Skedaddle(Space)" and "Tide-Splitter Patraca(A/D/S+F), those are your main s Then the second most important would be your CC catches, which is: -Sea Mist (W-F) -Heart-Catcher Patraca (Q) -Entangling Vortex (S-Q) -Wind-Piercer Patraca (Shift-RMB) -Surface-Slider Patraca (RMB) ^Those I would say are the most important to have, and then obviously set them up so that they're easily visible to you since UI is very personal, and after that I would suggest adding a cluster of your most common combo abilities, this varies for everyone, but Shift-F, Shift-LMB+Flow are very good to track CD on Then your Whale abilities for stamina regen: -Spiral Soak -Whale Song -Jet Stream -Spiral of Dreams This became a very long message, hopefully it helps, but feel free to ask if you need help with anything :)

I would honestly still use Bomb for the most part, even if you're DR you will still have your Evasion buffs up, pair it with Accuracy Shred and enemies will most likely miss an okay chuck of their attacks The burn is very negligible, and it only procs from 3 abilities, while Bomb procs from 5. But both are viable options, if you do end up rocking the Hand Cannon I'd would be good to also have a Bleed addon to pair the dot with that.

The majority of the times you're in preawk you're using Whale Abilities, and the occasional rabam / Shift-Q + W-RMB movement. But if you don't want to swap too much you will be more than fine only using the whale abilities for stamina regen then hopping back into Awk

Heey, welcome to Corsair! I hope you enjoy her :) - Awakening is mainly a ranged spec which I love in PvP, and Awakening is better in most 1v1 situations since you have a grab, and better CC options with Sea Mist. I do play Succession in PvE though because it's just more chill and less APM. Succession is still really good in PvP, and a lot of fun. Just not as strong in 1v1, but I play both of them and I really recommend that you give both a try and see what feels best for you :)
i'm a main awak corsair too, and as Merqury said, awak is more a range dps when succ corsair is more like a support debuff tank (she shred fg with her passive, and is well protected and rly hard to kill when full eva such as striker) Awak corsair is harder to master, her combo are not that hard, but she is kinda squishy and u need to play her a lot in order to understand how to rotate ur skill (S+E, A/D/S + F or Space) Moreover awak corsair grabs is hard to land, pretty slow, u have to cancel it, and never use it in front of someone, the grab is too slow so they can cc u before the grab land, so u have to reposition wth A/D+F or Space, then grab Same for me sea mist, u have to wait them using fg before using ur sea mist To conclude, succ corsair is rly fun to play, pretty easy, and is much more a support tank when running full eva,but bad 1v1 but good in small and large scale while awak corsair is a dps range, rly good in small scale, good in large scale, medium in 1v1. Awak corsair hard to master, she can do well in pretty much every situation but u need to know other class and master ur movement in order to be good, but she is for me the funniest class to play

Question since the changes that happened recently around Dr & Evasion, is it still Viable to go Evasion on Cosair ? I am new to BDO PC & this class really has my interest as being my main. The fun playstyle and I highly enjoyed Sailing before making to switch to PC , are my main reasons for wanting to main this class. Enjoy PvP as well.
After all the changes I strongly suggest going DR with full AP and a Nouver instead, going Evasion on Awk Corsair right now is really bad unfortunately

I am currently on Scholar , tried Dosa ( he was fun) but both are not my typical playstyle. I was a Kuno/Woosa main Previously, love the melee caster styles and that’s a big appeal to me with this class as well the combination of both with a bit of ranged. I think I will go ahead and give this class a go! I was debating if I should maybe make a Valk and run a strong Dr class that had never really been in a bad spot and tag but knowing that it is not really my cup of tea or just make Cosair and tag something else if needed. Dr Cosair it will be for me! I rather go with something I enjoy.

Can she perform very well in large scale and small scale PvP scenarios when mastered? I am not expecting her to surpass Archer or Ranger in frags but I hope she can get close when played right. Combo and Addons makes a big difference, but I usually always PvP with 281 bracket and there's typically no issues with damage. I'm releasing the Advanced guide within a few days, which will cover more in-depth combos and updated addons! :)

You need Sea Mist as the "Core" ability at the bottom of the Awakened skill tree applied for it to stun in PvP
