The new War Thunder patch has arrived. Included it was a 90mm variant of the T1 Heavy Tank. I was pretty excited when I heard this announced but I do belive that it could have been put into game a bit better. It is a bit difficult to balance something with this cannon and its size/armor. Currently with it being at 5.7 I found myself frequently facing Russian and German Tanks of higher battle ratings and struggling. The vehicle though does have good mobility so you will need to get creative to find a large amount of success with the vehicle.

Without knowing much about the T1E1 (90mm), having a big gun on it would automatically make it a higher br, but the PzIV being the same (good gun, average protection) also exists at much lower br. That being said it could probably go down to 5.3-5.0

One vehicle I'd love to see in the game is the Humber armored car, specifically the Mk. IV as it's armed with the same 37mm gun as the M3/M5 Stuart.
While I am in favor of seeing the Humber armored car too, Gaijin is just going to ignore it. Instead, they'll add the T-90S (Which was an export model, but Russia did later adopt it for themselves).
So glad the US tree got two DOA vehicles as part of this update: the A-10C and the T1E1 (90 mm)

I find it interesting that in that other tank game the T1 never gets a 90mm but the M6 does.
It's mainly because of the progression system there, meaning higher tier gets the bigger gun in the sequence. The main difference between a T1E1 ("M6A2") and a T1E2 / M6 is the transmission (and the difference between T1E3 / M6A1 and the M6 is that the hull is welded on the M6A1 rather than cast). Honestly, the real question there is why have two tiers of the same tank?

Most of my deaths in this tank have been a result of somone shooting through the 37mm and hitting the 90mm shells stored right behind it in the turret.

So does this mean you can have four T1s in your line-up now? M6A1, T1E1, T1E1 (90), and M6A2E1. ...Though I guess the BR differences would make some of those painful to play as part of the same line-up.

Hey Bo, I know it’s unlikely that you’ll see this or any of the other CC’s I have asked today but do you have any tips or suggestions for editing videos that I’ve imported from my PS5’s media gallery, I just recently tried making a video of sorts(it’s bad ik). I don’t really have any kind of laptop that I can use for editing besides potentially my school laptop lol. Anyways love your videos and hope we’ll get that Tu-4 history video soon :D

Why Gaijin didn't add the T1E1 90mm variant without the hull MGs is beyond that tank would have been perfect against Tiger1 more so than the M6A1 and the T1E1.

I prefer the 76 T1E1. Stabilizer and a slightly lower BR. The E1(90) doesn't feel any better than the 76, at a higher BR, with no stabilizer and a gun that should be better but hardly is. I spaded my first T1E1 in a 5.7 lineup anyway. The 90mm version is underwhelming.

I drive it backwards so as long as they don’t hit the turret I live through most shots. It’s the same speed in reverse or slightly slower
