It is WONDERFUL! The first morning home alone and I see Pilot Robert and Capt Blaz Best medicine for recovery, watching Capt Blaz start a motor with his stick LOL!! That is a beautiful in plane.

Captain Blaz that videoing and zooming was the best and the look of that bird in the air just perfect. Now if that doesn't make someone want to buy a warbird with a 4 stroke nothing will, great flying Pilot Robert and the landing was great to.
I hate to break this to you folks, but the single cylinder 4 stroke sounds nothing at all like the V-12 Merlin in a Spitfire or Mustang- the first is like an old lawn mower and the latter is like a 12 cylinder buzz saw on steroids in comparison. I have been most fortunate in my life to hear both, and forget calling a 4 stroke engine more realistic than a 2 stroke, it just isn't so guys and gals.
I hate to break this to you, but you are greatly mistaken and you obviously have never heard a real Merlin in a Mustang or Spitfire run overhead of you and I have-.they were talking about realistic sounds- and you know nothing of that either it seems.
Take your own advice first, I don't feel sorry for you at all, you don't deserve it. I have met some wonderful modelers from all over the world- salts of the earth, a great pity you aren't one of them.
Its worth watching you guys over time, you start noticing things! Robert, you weren't exactly excited about this flight, and you were a touch nervous at the beginning. You acted a bit like your brother when he gets nervous, but when he gets nervous you're the good brother, supportive and encouraging. When you are nervous evil Blaz only says "speak up you sound like an old pensioner!" Absolutely hilarious!
I was really wondering this time my friend becouse I had to have a little throttle all the time on stick. So if I had puted throttle all the way down I would have dead stick landing all over again. But it went perfect and this baby is just great now with four stroke engine. I love it. Big salute to you Matt from Slovenia, Robert

Yep, Yep ... I can see the inevitable progression beginning. 10cc 4 stroke, then 20cc, then 50cc GAS and then 100CC Gas... and the planes will keep getting bigger and bigger, too. Great video and I could hear the excitement in your voice once the flight was underway. The sound of a combustion engine cannot be beat. Love this channel. 2 great guys and R/C, too !!

It really is my friend. It needs some speed to fly good but it pretty easy to handle. I just wish that it has flaps for slower landings. Maybe I will set flaperons the next time to see the difference.

One of my favorite videos you guys have done it's my favorite plane this ranks up there with the quarry shot of that big Cessna you took to the quarry which I loved and commented about this was great I'm a spitfire lover it's almost as if you were looking at the real thing

I have gone for a 3 blade 11x7 which the engine seems to love. Love this channel and the love you have for the hobby shines through in every video !!! Can't wait for the next ! Not necessarily so, a good two stroke is every bit as good and reliable as a 4 stroke is. Other than the sound of each being different, making a blanket statement that one is better than the other is simply not true.
Everybody I no prefer four strokes as last longer more reliable and sound better. I have had meny two strokes and worked fine. In my warbirds I have all four strokes start better and don't keep cutting out. So my statement four strokes are better 👍

After 50 plus years fooling with model airplanes and engines, I have owned and used more than a few of all types of engines and I definitely prefer the simplicity of the two stroke over the four for a great many applications. Sorry. But they are every bit as reliable and long lived as a four stroke, more so in many cases.
OMG that is one happy bird, Oh Yeah!!! Landing was almost perfect, you kept it hot...Get Capt. Blaz to tweek the low side on the engine...It may have changed from Croatia air mixture due to the 45 degree angle mounting. Next time will be perfect, just perfect!!!
Hey, I think ASP, SC, HP and Magnum are all made the same...If its a Brand New ASP, you will have to lean the low side more and more as it breaks in...Then it will plop-plop...Oh Yeah!!!
Like you Robert and Captain Blaz I've flown loads of models over the years but my favourite was a Chris Foss Wot4 powered by an OS48 Surpass 4 stroke which I flew in the 1980's. Crashed her in the end but I've still got the Surpass (in mint condition) which I am going to install in a Wot4 classic (kits still available) this year.
Captain Robert, I must tell you that for planes this big, you must try a two stroke gas engine. Once you do you will be hooked on gas engines! They are a little bit more money in the beginning, but fuel is so cheap and once they are tuned well they are so easy! They also use very little fuel. You can fly for 10 minutes or more with regular size tanks! I recommend RCGF or DLE engines. 👌🏼
Good job capt Robert! If you had a lipo battery in that plane you'd fly it a few minutes, not nitro! That is the sexiest nitro plane I have ever seen you fly, great video, quick plane.
A well deserved engine change, well done! That 2-stroke engine looks like it has been ran using old fuel with a lot of castor oil. Modern fuel use synthetic oil (and perhaps just a couple of percent caster oil). I have heard that you can clean it up using the same stuff you use to clean your aluminum rims on your car. Haven't tried it myself though.

Everybody I no prefer four strokes as last longer more reliable and sound better. I have had meny two strokes and worked fine. In my warbirds I have all four strokes start better and don't keep cutting out. So my statement four strokes are better 👍
@@kevinj5293 that's great. It just happens to be incorrect . After 50 plus years fooling with model airplanes and engines, I have owned and used more than a few of all types of engines and I definitely prefer the simplicity of the two stroke over the four for a great many applications. Sorry. But they are every bit as reliable and long lived as a four stroke, more so in many cases.

OMG that is one happy bird, Oh Yeah!!! Landing was almost perfect, you kept it hot...Get Capt. Blaz to tweek the low side on the engine...It may have changed from Croatia air mixture due to the 45 degree angle mounting. Next time will be perfect, just perfect!!!
Hey, I think ASP, SC, HP and Magnum are all made the same...If its a Brand New ASP, you will have to lean the low side more and more as it breaks in...Then it will plop-plop...Oh Yeah!!!

Like you Robert and Captain Blaz I've flown loads of models over the years but my favourite was a Chris Foss Wot4 powered by an OS48 Surpass 4 stroke which I flew in the 1980's. Crashed her in the end but I've still got the Surpass (in mint condition) which I am going to install in a Wot4 classic (kits still available) this year.

Captain Robert, I must tell you that for planes this big, you must try a two stroke gas engine. Once you do you will be hooked on gas engines! They are a little bit more money in the beginning, but fuel is so cheap and once they are tuned well they are so easy! They also use very little fuel. You can fly for 10 minutes or more with regular size tanks! I recommend RCGF or DLE engines. 👌🏼
Good job capt Robert! If you had a lipo battery in that plane you'd fly it a few minutes, not nitro! That is the sexiest nitro plane I have ever seen you fly, great video, quick plane.

That 2-stroke engine looks like it has been ran using old fuel with a lot of castor oil. Modern fuel use synthetic oil (and perhaps just a couple of percent caster oil).
I have heard that you can clean it up using the same stuff you use to clean your aluminum rims on your car. Haven't tried it myself though.
