I really like that popcorn popper. 50 years ago we had one that worked identical to that one, but pretty sure the materials used in the plastic and the nonstick surface were carcinogens. The popcorn those make is so much more delicious compared to microwave and air popped popcorn. I do not like paying full price for anything, so hopefully these will go on sale at some point.

Can you use a sugar substitute for the candied nuts, like Splenda/Swerve/Stevia?
I haven't tried any but I've heard from others that the results aren't great or are inconsistent.
Can you use egg whites in this when you make candied nuts?
