  • This is a classic woodworking puzzle. I thought it would be a nice paradox to transfer this idea on the lathe. That's because the lathe usually produces round objects!
    Tools and materials I propose:
    Lathe: amzn.to/2yq4bMI
    Forstner bit set: amzn.to/2A5NPLq
    Jointer planer: amzn.to/2IQZ3WR
    Table saw: amzn.to/2RBf0nT
    Chuck kit: amzn.to/2NLQG55
Flat jaws for bowl bottoms: amzn.to/2xJTrsQ
    Drill chuck: amzn.to/2XBVWb6

Great video Dimitri! I've seen those made on a drillpress but never a lathe. Still they're done the same way. Neat.

GooD. What do you think? Is it possible to do this with a hand milling machine?

Thanks. They usually do it on a drill press! Not sure if it can work any other way, it needs some kind of accuracy!

If it were larger I wonder if it would be possible to put a cube inside a cube inside another cube

Ευχαριστώ Βασίλη, δεν πήρε πολύ ώρα πάντως! Η κινηματογράφιση επιβράδυνε λίγο τα πράγματα!

At some point I was tempted to quit watching (because of the apparent repetitive action), but as you were getting close to the end of it, I had like an EUREKA moment when I started to get the idea behind this. Excellent !
