You can get some Kailh hot swap sockets from KBDfans for 10 cents apiece, although it does require desoldering and many people don't like that. Still, it would be cool to see them include hot swaps to avoid such a hustle.
I've been using alot of Ducky keyboards during the past years. I always loved the feel of their keyboards as they cherry pick their switches to get the best out there as well as using PBT keycaps. But last couple of years some units has started to brake. Like the cable ports randomly breaks inside the case and stuff like keyboards getting stuck in a mode no matter what you do it won't reset. Nevertheless this year i overheard a couple of vendors talking about quality and Varmilo was mentioned. So I went with one of their products instead. And hands down its the best out of the box keyboards I've used. Thick PBT keycaps, pre lubricated stabilizers/switches and that extra dampening material they use inside the case makes for a fantastic feel no matter what switches you go for. I would directly compare it with some of my Realforce Topre boards that goes for way more money and a step above ducky these last generations of keyboards I've been using. Not by much but still the overall feel is better.

There is no excuse not to implement them in 2020) -Discontinue the plastic casing and make the aluminum cases all standard on the one 2 mini. -Decent stabs, clipped and lubed well and consistent To be honest, I think Optical switches have their own area for competitive gaming. Typing on a optical keyboard is not as satisfying compared to a Holy Panda switch for reference.
Ducky is amazing. I've been using Pok3r II (Cherry MX Black) for like 7+ years (you know those OG Blacks are juicy now). But I always recommend ducky to my friends.
Fun fact: Pros choose smaller keyboards because they don't have much space at their desk in lans. They also tilt their keyboard to have more space which you can often see when they have handcam when streaming.
People always saying like "get 60% so your arms don't have to be way to the side" or something. I've never experienced that issue with larger keyboards, I really don't understand that reasoning.

so my plan in about a month is to pick up a ducky and then buy a glorious ice mousepad, and a wireless model o with ceramic feet in exchange for my corsair 350mm and my razer viper ultimate. ik the ceramic feet on the ice will make this thing a speed demon but i play games like cs, destiny, and valorant on mid to basically low sensitivity (2.2 to 1.5 in csgo 400 dpi) so 2 things, should i go with ceramic or just stick with stock glorious feet and how woud u reccomend cleaning the ice?

I love ducky but recently I ordered the Mecha SF Special 2020 Edition back on Sep 11 and it’s been back ordered till February. Ducky keyboards are great but be prepared to wait 4-6 months for it.
I currently have a ducky. Love the thing. Unfortunately had a double clicking issue. Updated firmware, sent it in. Fixed it. And now I have another double clicking issue on a different key. Quality control is not their strong suit.
It bothers me that you can see how warped that space bar is even on camera, I think you should do a video on how to straighten pbt space bars. I personally like to use a sink full of hot water.
thanks but I spent enough money on my alloy origins core, and this keyboard seems too expensive and too exclusive, I also like my software even tho it takes some power away from my pc I still prefer the options of software more the remembering a bunch of macros to change my keyboard lights
All preference. The huntsman mini technically has faster switches. I don’t really like the huntsman mini however because I think it is cheaply built. That said I’m not a huge fan of the one 2 mini either. Just go with what you think you would like
I have both a Ducky One 2 and a One 2 Mini (different switches). I will never touch a Ducky again until they give me hot-swappable optical switches. I cannot use any keyboard outside of my Huntsman because everything else feels so slow. The build quality and RGB are amazing on a Ducky, but they need to release something hot-swappable with optical switches.
I am never getting a Ducky again because I got my One2 mini and then a couple months later my keys started double typing A LOT. You can even feel how cheap the board is for $100usd. Pathetic.

What are you really sacrificing? You’re not using the right hand side of the keyboard when you’re gaming and also gain more space for mouse movement.

One of the only reasons I want the hyperx 60% is because they use the 4pin leds vs the normal smd leds which are usually not as bright
