This is what happens when your government does proper lock downs and takes proper measures, the state of Victoria had a 5 day lock down last month after 10 cases so it didn't spread any further and it worked.
There's only one thing I didn't like about the studio version, being the transition to the chorus, but in a live version it is fluid rather than awkward to me ears. Nice!
Exactly! I love most of the song but the “but I got power YEAH” parts sounds like nails on a chalkboard in the studio version but live is way smoother, thank goodness!!
@@いぶき-s9m She needed a few more points to qualify. Like 6 or so. But if she did qualify then Norway probably wouldn't have qualified because he (Tix) was 10th in the semifinal. Maybe Armenia will return? And the EBU have been talking with the Turkish broadcaster to get Turkey to participate again.
well we could compromise.... how about we organise a crowd of Australians here to be in a stadium at 3am-5am and Eurovision could show the crowd on tv & on screens in Rotterdam stadium for the performers ie: when a performer comes on stage in Netherlands they show the crowd here in Australia clapping, cheering & waving flags from all countries etc?? so it will seem like there's a crowd there when there really isn't. Its miles away in Australia instead. What do you think? is it a good idea?
@@aussierose I think I'd rather just watch it in my bed if I'm having to wake up at 5am to watch it 😅 I love Eurovision, but I don't have the kind of energy. Majority of people here actually just watch the re run's on Friday, Saturday, Sunday nights. I did that until we entered the competition.

Before disliking this song, first you need to imagine it on the Eurovision stage with all the lights and pyrotechnic. Australia is going strong this year.
No matter what people say, this will be in the finals. This has been recorded in open air, which reduces the quality by a lot, indoors she will impress. I am already blown away by this performance. I see Australia again in or close to the top 10 in the finals. Good luck Aussies from Belgium X
Unfortunately that chance has slipped even further due the face that we cannot perform live at Rotterdam now and are relying on a recording. The recording will be better than this as its not in an open air stadium, she had three takes to choose from and it would have been polished a bit more

Wow 😔 Sad to see so many haters commenting on this song. It’s fun, different, colourful, uplifting and so catchy! Have Eurofans lost their minds during lockdown? We need songs like this for 2021 rather than the boring generic stuff we get every year! I will definitely be dancing around the living room during this performance on opening night ✌🏻
Same with Germany for me.. It is something so uplifting and just is diffrent to the ballads this year... still veryone hates it (espacially the own country itself hates it)... but I prefer Montaihnes entry last year..I just connected to the meaning way more, still in my top 15 :)
Absolutely love this! Everything about this is out of this world. Australia is no longer that country that sends “safe” pop entries. Kate in 2019 and now Montaigne 2020/2021. I just love what they’re offering. And those vocals for such a difficult, pace-changing song is admirable. If this video is any indication of what her staging would look like, Australia will slay. Sticking my guns out because for me Australia has been my #1 from the moment I listened to it. Good luck, Montaigne!
I think this is because we introduced a national decider rather than just sending whoever had won a recent reality singing contest like Isaiah and Don’t Come Easy. Eurovision fans here weren’t happy with the generic pop either so both times with Kate and Montaigne, picked slightly weirder artists/entries and I think it’s paying off. Dami Im was amazing with Sound of Silence and she was on X Factor, but that song just gives me chills. Guy Sebastian was a great first attempt for us and I love Jess Mauboy’s voice but she was let down by a really poor song
like 9 years or so ago I ran into her in a public toilet at my local mall, I had no idea who she was. Out of nowhere she complimented my outfit and I complimemted her back... we walked out, she then walked onto a pop up stage and performed a set in the centre of the mall LOL... i have been a big fan ever since. she's so lovely. really cool to see her achieving things of this scale!!!
Yes!!! I love this one!!! I think this performance would have been better with many cameras focusing different angles during the prw chorus, but it's still good and in my top 10. And way better than "Don't break me", of course!!!
her voice is so rich and beautiful and her calls before chorus (especially here 1:47) sound like she's about to make a sailor moon transformation, i love it so much!!!
I only see positive messages about the song, and a lot of people say that it's their winners this year. I don't really understand why, even if the song is hard to sing, I find this is too much and the chorus is maybe a bit repetitive (I prefer last year) I like that we all have different tastes though
I think is because most people only saw the live performance and i don't really think the live performance is that good and one of the reasons why i disliked it so much. listened to the studio version and it's actually ok not my favourit but i don't dislike it either
She's unique. Her presence, her voice, simply love her!! ♥️ Maybe is not a winner song but I really hope to see Australia one more time in the Top 10! Wishing all the best from Buenos Aires Argentina 🇦🇷 ♥️ 😊 🙌🏻

I was wondering the same, however, my investigative research revealed that this particular scene must have been pre-recorded and cut into the live footage. The clearest indication of this thesis is that the right arm of the dancer throwing the jacket has already quickly returned to its original position in the camera shot where the jacket hits the camera, but in the next shot the same arm is still performing the throwing motion. If you look at the bit in slowed down speed, it becomes quite obvious that something is not quite right.

And those vocals for such a difficult, pace-changing song is admirable. If this video is any indication of what her staging would look like, Australia will slay. Sticking my guns out because for me Australia has been my #1 from the moment I listened to it. Good luck, Montaigne!
Can I also add how jealous I am of Australia, whose people seem to be living as normal as if COVID wasn’t a thing!😭 Australia is just slaying!
I think this is because we introduced a national decider rather than just sending whoever had won a recent reality singing contest like Isaiah and Don’t Come Easy.
