- This is a challenge run, aiming for fastest completion without using any kind of magic (Alchemy Formulas and Call Beads).
Featuring a risky route developed to keep the unavoidable weapon-leveling to a minimum, this attempt reaches a time of 2 hours, 10 minutes, and 24 seconds at Carltron's defeat.
Recorded on an emulator (bsnes), but thoroughly played in unassisted console conditions, single-segmented.
BTW, to speed up the kill with Thraxx, you can attack with the boy and then immediately change controls to the dog. This will cause Thraxx's roar attack to hit him, instead of the boy. After this you can quickly change controls back and land your next hit. (This should work on any version of SoE)
I wonder if the game developers knew about all these game breaking glitches and decided to keep them in the game 🤔
I knew this game was broken, but not THAT broken. The use of wings and these cutscene skips are fantastic!
Are these tricks version specific?

Yes, at least the Wing glitch or Blimp skip are only possible on the US version AFAIK.
Hey Saturn! Where can I still find the redesign recording file for SNES9X, which version of the emulator, and which version of the hack do you use? I am eagerly searching for any playthrough TAS of this hack. Best is yours. I found one from Hondjzj or Hoandizi 100%, but it desincs shortly after gravity suit, because of version missmatch. :(

Pretty cool :) Though since you're not doing glitchless, why didn't you do the Atlas glitch to get the crazy atk boost? Or would that just make it TOO fast? lol
Glitches are fine, but using alchemy (which is required for the Atlas glitch) is banned in this category, so not an option.
Oh DUH...I can't believe I didn't realize that was why, lol. Sorry!
