Thanks! This is probably my favorite of the digital percussion pads. I know there is more I could explore. I should look for spots to put some mallet percussion in the songs!

Great video Matt!! Nice to get behind the technology of playing acoustics and to see how it can be done! ❤❤

Thanks for watching Kenny! I do wish I owned the acoustic versions of these mallet instruments but they do take up more space than the drum set! (Also cost more)!
I work with what I have and this pad has been an important tool when we travel. I know what to improve upon when making more videos as I should have shown how it was played but those are things I can work on for the next video. I’ll have to come up with an idea for another one soon.

I can easily imagine! I've seen how little space you guys have when on the road! 😄 But then it's great that the technology offers this! I can also imagine that it might not be the same as having a real instrument. But that can always be worked on while you have the more transportable unit! Looking forward to the next video! 😊

This video makes the instrument appear EXTREMELY COMPLICATED to operate..nothing excited to see\hear

Let me ask you this. Do you own this or ever worked with one? My guess is you have not based on your comment. Extremely complicated? Absolutely NOT! This pad is very user friendly and user intuitive. Instead of making baseless claims, try it out. You’ll be surprised.

any technology has a bit of a learning curve but this is fairly basic. Don't be afraid of technology. Embrace it. Learn. Grow.

Thank you sir! My only message was who dost like spending less money and can get same job done. Look at over priced grand mcmillian, have both and I as juju thawing money away.

First, thanks for the comment. Second, the KT4 is still a module with only limited programmable MIDI sound bank. Are you not aware the Roland HPD20 is superior and requires fewer cables and connections? It has more on board adjustments and uses real sampled sounds. Still not sure how you’d use the KT4 to play the marimba but if it works for you then who am I to say otherwise? Just seems very limiting in my point of view. Also, professionalism? Not sure how that factors in but Roland wins in that regard. Cleaner, simpler, better sounding, etc. What is your work flow?

@@MatthewBauerMusic so true, but I can’t afford two of the HPDs! How I’ve been using the the Kat is with Komplete 14, and use the Yamaha 57 (that what I started with and stills works great maybe not the most professional looking but it does the job of eight separate pads, unfortunately in my situation at home most jams are with headphones to not didtsturb the other residents! And you are so right sticking my nose in what prefer has no business in yours! I am extremely impressed with the Kat but
I need soft synths to get the results I want!I never thought I would be able to to afford an HDP20 so I used what I had available! I apologize if I sounded like a know it all when I am the opssite of that usually.. I guess it’s all in the set up!and I am truly luck to have the set up I have! Good luck too-youand and I’ll try to think before I type from now on,it’s easy to see your an easy going gentleman I enjoy the demo!

@@rexcellencemagee6729 my brother, I appreciate your message. No need to apologize for anything. I appreciate your response. These days it's challenging to get a read on people and sometimes written words get misconstrued. All good. Why would you need 2 HPDs though? That's overkill! lol.
I'm not versed in the Yamaha 57 but I understand your workflow. The intent of my video was to show how the HPD can be used in a non traditional way with only one unit and without extra hard/software. Whatever works for someone works for them! Keep doing what you like. The internet is a great place for sharing ideas and other ways of doing things. Thanks again for viewing. If you ever have any questions or whatnot feel free to reach out or ask.
