While I'm very relieved to see Alex have this rational and kind response, I really feel like everyone has collectively ignored the fact she hung out with and willingly, knowingly made a video with her friend's r@pist (before their friendship obviously fell apart because of that) I'm empathetic towards her mental health struggles, but she still is not a good person.

@KristenZianourry2015 absolutely agree. She was horrible to other people, too. The stuff with Jessie was especially atrocious behavior because of what it was all about. So many people excuse her, but it wasn't just little mistakes. She was horrible to many people and tried to use her mental issues as an excuse. It seems like no one remembered that docu series she released (not all of, then deleted). Don't get me wrong, that creep going into her house under the guise of "helping" her is extremely disgusting.

Gabbie's mental illness doesn't diminish what all she did to warrant her break from the Internet. It does explain parts of it, but it's not an excuse. It doesn't erase how she bullied and harassed a victim of rape or how she claimed she didn't believe the victim whose rapist was later found guilty. It doesn't erase her discussing someone's intimate activities behind their backs. This doesn't mean Gabbie shouldn't have a chance to grow and become better, but it does feel like maybe because she's a friend, you might be minimizing why, outside of her mental illness, and harassment from the Internet, she needed to step away from the spotlight. This isn't an anti-Alex or cancel Alex type comment, btw. Love the channel, love the commentary, liked and subscribed. It's only a thought.

I wish I wouldn’t have been on the Gabbie hate train back in the day.
I left a nasty comment on her instagram around the time she wore an outfit based on an E-girl who was murdered and everyone dragged her for not knowing who she was. She replied to me and she seemed genuinely hurt and offended and I replied another nasty comment to double down and she left another comment and deleted it before I could see it. I deleted my comment out of frustration and as days passed and then months then years it’s something I wish I could take back. I played a role in her downfall not a major role but still participated. I hope for her success in her new field.
Sorry Alex just wanted to get that off my chest.

I wasn't around for a lot of the UA-cam drama so I didn't see most of the reactions to Gabby or everything she did, except for hearing about how she treated her friend about her r/pe. Mental health issues can offer explanations for such things, but they aren't excuses for them. I am glad she is offline and hopefully that will help her manage her health better. I am sure she got bullied for thongs she didn't deserve. I have been around long enough to know everyone does, but that doesn't excuse the valid backlash. She does deserve to live undisturbed now though. So I guess I agree with most of what you said.

I think aside from her mental issues, she's a ... complicated person. I think she has sometimes hidden behind her issues when confronted with bad behaviour, much in the way I'm trying to be sensitive to her suffering while still holding her accountable. She's traumatized a lot of people.

Legit straight up respect you for respecting her. I was against her UNTIL that livestream with that dude who snuck into her home. I saw her fucking put herself into a place that could have gotten her r*ped, r*bbed, or m*rdered and it felt like she fucking did it because she was lonely and my heart hurt for her. Like... she paid for her sins I think. She annoyed me and fucked up, but we all do. We all fuck up. I was always so impressed that she pulled herself together fitness wise... she was a machine! It was impressive.
I wish nothing but the best for Gabbie tbh. Like I said, she's paid for her sins. Leave her tf alone.

I know that she had a very public breakdown and having worked in the Fitness space, having an online presence is important to draw people to your facility. She is a NAME and she seems to have the training to do what she is doing, so I hope this is a good break for her and she finds peace. Seemingly she left LA and went closer to her home/family and has a support system. Again, I hope this works out for her and she finds peace doing this and helping others.

As just an average person living in Los Angeles, some of the things I hear creators say about my home is irritating... But at the same time, I do get the type of people they're speaking about. People that move here, thinking they're above everyone else because they live in LA... Man, I'm LA born and raised. I love my home, but it has always been a shithole. The land is beautiful and the weather is (usually) great, but our government, the society here at large... It fucking sucks and is only getting worse.

Thank you for not just following all the rest of the sheep to the Gabbie hate train. Gabbie was falling apart before our eyes. She deserved empathy, not ridicule. One day all those people will end up in a situation like hers and look back on how they treated her. They will realize just what awful human beings they truly are when they are alone and being made fun of by everyone. It's refreshing to see a youtuber not just follow trends and go with the general consensus on a topic. SO glad I subscribed months ago and wish I could push it again and again. Keep up the critical thinking. The world needs more of it.

Used to watch gabbie when I was young, I’ve seen her crumble due to mental health reasons, and I know some of the things she said and did aren’t justified, but I also do believe she deserves happiness, and I wish people would leave her alone and let her live her life, she looks healthy, she’s looking good!

I actually live in the same town, had no idea she was back until i saw a random headline. was happy for her, but it makes me sad that people suddenly feel the need to drive through our town (it's not a small town but it's also not a big town if that makes sense) just to find her. there's literally nothing to do around us aside from like hiking and such so the people that *are* going to feel the need to find her really have no other business here. kind of makes me wish they didn't mention the town/county that she is in because there's legit nothing/it's a dying town. it really wouldn't be hard to find her IF that was the goal :\

Here's the thing though, Gabbie announced where she would be. Cearly she wanted everyone to know about it. So you can't blame everyone else for commenting that they want to go see her when she made it public, she put it out there. Gabbie isn't stupid and she isn't new to this so she knows how people will react.

I'm old AF and disabled after my time in service and diagnosed bipolar II, streaming games is really all I got, BUT I don't converse with 19 year Olds 😂😂😂. I don't understand the brittle old men that think they are still teenagers. We lived our lives lol, some of us have no lives, but that's not a reason to hang out with teenagers. Don't drag them into your midlife crisis lol.

I have no sympathy for Gabbie. She did horrific things for years and hurt people all in her deranged need for fame. All she has ever done is bulldoze people to climb the social ladder. What she did to Jessi was disgusting and she didn’t stop for YEARS. Even when Jessi was pregnant with her rainbow baby after losing a child. She never stopped. I’m so sick of people using her mental health as an excuse for literal years of disgusting behavior and provable lies. Do better.

Though she’s done some questionable things, I’m glad Gabbie seems to have gotten the help that she needs. The way the internet commodifies human beings is honestly scary, we treat them like objects and not the living, breathing people they are. She’s not a perfect person, but Gabbie’s still a person who realized the internet wasn’t for her and wants to move on after very publicly breaking down. Don’t track her down at her job, don’t leave rude comments, just leave her be and let her live
