I wasn’t sure I’d watch this through to the end but am so glad I did! When I retired, my goal was to do ART and grow my ‘eye’ and skills. Covid and a death in the family put a damper on all my plans. This video reawakened all those plans. Thank you for the inspiration and motivation!
I love Bible journaling, but after watching your work on this, I’m thinking I need to try art journaling. I love doodling and it’s the perfect place to do that.
What fun to just play in preparation for future projects. That's usually as far as I get. ha ha I'm not familiar with Instagram, so hope you will occasionally share on FB.
Thank you so much Sandy, I really really enjoyed watching you create these amazing and stunning page’s. I’ve subscribed and given you a thumbs up 👍 too. Please stay safe and well too
What a great idea, Sandy! I have tons of different media from years of Art subscription boxes that I can now put to good use. Thank you! I don’t know how you always manage to come up with these awesome ideas, but please keep ‘em coming 😊
I just took a class and we did backgrounds with acrylic paint and white gesso with stencils. Another one we used gelatos and a baby wipe with a charcoal pencil for edges and if you wet charcoal it will let you move it a bit. Was fun . Great video. We also used a scraper to spread paint and gel plate.
I love that binding. I think I want to try to replicate it. I have some leather pieces that I can use. My favorites are the charcoal page and the one with using the leaves as a stencil. All the backgrounds are so unique and pretty though. TFS
Love all the different techniques and pages Sandy. When you used a piece of screen I had a feeling the doggies probably wrecked something 😅. I've replaced so many screens thanks to my kitties. I finally tried the heavy duty screen which has eliminated most of the destruction. TFS all of these great ideas.
Can't wait to see what you create on these pages! I wish I could find a way to push life away more often and sit and create. Seems I have to be "in the mood". Often wonder how you create day after day. Anyway, I'd love the see more charcoal and graphite sketches. TFS
Hi Sandy, loving this video, one I’d like to get better at is working with acrylics and baby wipes. So many fantastic backgrounds in this tutorial. Tfs
I love your ideas in this excellent tutorial and i learned aot from you so thank you so much. Ive been looking on Amazon for the charcoal wedge/block you used but cannot find any and wanted to know if you could lead me to buy one as I really want to try to do that B&W tree page. The pencils Nd sticks give a totally different look than your wedge charcoal gave you. Hopefully they still have them. Fabulous video and i will be looking for more of yours.
I love the ideas. I like to mix whatever it suits me. I would like to ask about the baby wipes: In our shops all baby wipes contain certain ingrediences like oil, aloe vera, and similar. What kind are yours?
Those airbrushed leaves are beautiful!!!!!!

Perhaps you could do art journaling on a Bible theme. It could be quite meditative I should think.

Very inspiring to incorporate my Zentangle’s!

It’s called using up all the stuff in MY stash…ha! This seemed like a good way to dig through stuff and use some if it!

🤣
I ordered one of these journals online. I, too, found the bleed, though. I solved it with doing gesso first.

These are the generic ones made by Costco, I’ve found they’ve worked well for years❤️
Can’t wait to see what you draw on this. Are you offering an art journaling class?
It’s on a friend’s site, I’m teaching the yellow page I showed.
Thanks for sharing. Did you do a pipette technique in a recent video?
I use them often w alcohol inks.
@@SandyAllnock1 was it in a recent video?
Uhm I guess? There’s an alcohol playlist you can check
Beautiful ideas 😍
