I'd love a steam deck controller. With that market taking off, PC handheld, it would be great to have that layout within a controller.

I honestly could not use the first nitro deck since the right stick placement was causing a lot of wrist pain. Happy to see all the revisions, although it does sting a bit that I couldn’t return the original.

It's crazy how simple some additions to this controller sound, and yet you guys were the first to make it. The sidekick buttons seem like a useful step forward in what controllers already are, so it'd be cool to see you guys start the wave of this innovation. And even outside of other controllers: moving the charging to up top and allowing handheld docked version of the switch? It's like other companies were staring at this idea but couldn't actually notice it. And for the price, I may have to grab this and test it out. It sounds JUICY
Small correction:
Scuff did the "side kick" buttons before this on their envision controller.
And nexigo did the dock/grip hybrid for their gripcon gen 3.
But yeah, I'm definitely thinking of getting this too since it looks like the wiiu.
YES! Symmetrical sticks in the Wii U orientation, finally! The GamePad and Wii U Pro controller are still some of the most comfortable gaming peripherals ever imo.

So the build quality is the same with the first one???Does it have HD rumble or mechanical buttons?
I’ll wait to see if it still shorts out on OLED models like the base model. The few hours of functionality I had were PHENOMENAL. The multiple replacements that didn’t work out of box were not.
I pre ordered but im worried the buttons below the right analog stick will be uncomfortable since they arent off centered at all
yup. super awakward, no matter what they do they can’t seem to fix the comfortablity issues with the right side buttons/stick. I see it being beneficial for arcade and d-pad heavy older games, but using analogue with the main a,b,x,y buttons will be super uncomfortable over extended play times. And it’s even more frustrating cause they sold so many of these the first wave because IGN promoted the crap out of them and I’m sure a lot of people realized quickly that they were pretty much scammed cause they don’t use more than IGN for gaming news outlets, when they were already getting poor reviews for comfortability elsewhere online but IGN is a huge source for gamer news, so seems sketchy they’re releasing another wave “addressing issues” when they are just milking sales thanks to IGN false gloating about the deck. You want a comfortable solution look up Hori Split Pad Compact, and they’re licensed by Nintendo unlike this scam product.
Biggest issue for me was the right stick was positioned too low to be comfortable for extended play. I wonder if the ABXY buttons will now be too low.

The plan is to allow for full control of the Nitro Deck +. As well as the pro-controller we have coming out soon, the NEO S!

Did this fix the issue with the deck where it stops working with the Switch OLED? Concerned because i pre-ordered one and then my original just stopped working on my OLED all together. Works on my V1 just fine though. Seems to be a wide spread issue.
I have 3 decks and they’ve all worked on my oled the entire time I’ve had them. Didn’t even know it was an issue.

Are the buttons any closer to the top? With the original the bottom joystick is difficult to reach. Feels like the problem is just reversed now unless the buttons are higher
you have the sidekick button and the back buttons to program to the face buttons so you shouldn't need to use them.
@@paulanderson929shouldn’t need to use them? really? that’s a really shit solution if all they did was reverse the original problem. they could design it in a way where both the right joy stick and ABXY buttons would be comfortable to use. It would be ridiculous otherwise.
Will the new one fit in my old case for the first steam deck I rlly hope so. Meaning I can just buy the new one without worry of accessories already owning stick replacements and such
Have you guys added some padding or some type of fabric for the back of the switch? I have a Totk oled and I don’t want the back to be scratched.
We've added more space, separating the back from the Switch. As well as an easy eject system, so you don't have to apply any pressure to the screen.
Are you going to redesign the carry case to work with the Deck+ since the right stick placement won't fit in my original? The Branded Microfiber String Bag is not useful when traveling.
The Nitro Deck + will fit in the OG carrying case, but might not fit as snug as some might like. So keep an eye out for something in the future!
the stick placement is definitely better on the right side. but now the buttons are in a bad spot. should have put them slightly up and to the left, kinda tucked under the stick
Just preordered the black one really wish they keep the solid colors as those looked amazing especially that GameCube purple.

Will the Nitro Deck+ come in all black and not a transparent blackish one. Wanted it to match my Steam Deck OLED.
At the moment, there are no plans to produce other ND+ colorways. However, we are always looking to expand our product line so we appreciate the suggestion and will definitely keep that in mind!
I'm so stoked to get mine, I shelled out the money for a steam deck oled special edition, so this will make my switch match with the clear black. My WHOLE gaming setup is the old school clear shells in that smokey black so I'm ecstatic. After my 3rd switch dock died on me I'm ready to turn this into a Nintendo deck with virtually all the same functions as my steam deck. The thing I would recommend, that you could easily program and send through an update, is a mapping profile mode. Press and hold the remap and turbo buttons for 3 seconds to cycle through profiles of button mapping for different games. Or something like that.

It will in fact fit in the original carrying case, however we will be releasing another carrying case in the near future. So keep an eye out!
Purple GameCube and Super Famicom shell/button colour options for the Nitro Deck+? The translucent colourways look clean, but even one retro flavour would be phenomenal and would make it an instant-buy for me (and no doubts as well for many collectors who like having a retro themed collection den). 🙏

Symmetrical NEO S+ with upper analog sticks?
Having the 4 buttons mapped to the back is prefect. Would rather have a comfortable stick with my thumb perfectly placed than the older OG design. Been playing duty for years utilizing back buttons as action buttons for xyab. This will be a seamless transition for me. Look forward to it.
It does not appear to be radically different in shape or size than the original, so I would assume your current carrying case will work with the new Nitrodeck+, but I don't see any confirmation of that on your website, and you don't seem to have a combo pack with case and controller together. Can you speak to that?
You are absolutely correct, the dimensions are identical and the Nitro Deck + will fit in the OG carrying case just fine!

If you pre-order the Nitro Deck + it will automatically come with an USB-C to HDMI adapter. It won't appear at checkout, but it is definitely included for all pre-orders!

Important question! I bought the plus edition shortly after it was announced. Will the old case fit the new model? I'm going on vacation shortly after it's scheduled to arrive and will gladly buy the case if it fits the plus version to more easily take this with me on my trip.
Yes it will still fit! It fits a little snug but it does the trick still.

I don't own the old version and i didn't pre-order the new one either. Wouldn't it have been better to move the right stick towards the left and making the handles bigger? Idk how comfortable the new placement would be for someone that plays MH Rise and Smash. Either way I'm still waiting for a clear blue version lol

I am huge fan of your products and already using nitro deck black edition 😎 and l start loving portable gaming as well. Already preordered Nitro Deck + edition (also waiting for carrying case to be released). Thanks for the massive update on newer version (super that’ve aded bluetooth option, its’ very convenient now). The only “negative” thing l’ve faced that l couldn’t upgrade software on Nitro Deck (downloaded official software is giving an malware suspicious activity, and antivirus blocking it). Hopefully l will be able to upgrade through mac in future 🙂👋
why didn't you add some cloth or something softer that doesn't scratch the switch when removing?

Nevermind, seems only creditcard is possible as payment method, so not interested anymore.
Pre-orders are only accepted via credit card, however if you wish to wait until the product is released then you will be able to use the other payment options such as sezzle or paypal! And yes, the original carrying case will fit the Nitro Deck +.

Can the triggers be switched to analog to play Mario Sunshine properly?
I don't think so since the Switch version changed out the shoulder trigger function from the original due to not having those buttons natively. Though it would be nice if Nintendo actually update the game to bring it back for third party controllers that do have shoulder trigger buttons like the GameCube.
How soon will there be new colors or at least the same colors (from the original)?
At the moment there are no plans for other color ways, but we are always expanding our product line so who knows what the future will hold!

The only thing l do wish was in the original Nitro Deck or Nitro Deck+ is the trigger buttons to feel like the regular Nintendo Switch ZR and ZL triggers because they just don't feel right.

The OG Nitro Deck case will fit the Nitro Deck + without any issues. We also just released a gear bag which is available on our site right now!
My only complaint with the nitro deck is the power button, it's too bright. If i try to play at night i have to block it with my wrist but that adds to find discomfort over time. Is there any way to shut this off?
With the latest firmware available on our website, the V2 update, you can lower and completely turn off the CRKD button brightness to your liking!

There's a small button behind the right side that you can press to change the brightness of the button or turn it off while it still works. It's already in the controller itself.

@@crkdgg Besides "Gamecube Purple" again I think some call outs to iconic characters would be cool. Something like a "Metroid Red/Bronze" or "Samus Suit Blue".
Would love to get this. But I would definitely prefer a flat white color way with no purple accents. Essentially the same color way as the white from your guys' previous model, but applied to this new one:) Think that could happen??👀

definitely getting this but you need the clear purple gamecube design it would be incomplete without it even if that was the only other color option I gurantee it would be the most popular design out of the 3 of them

I have a question.
Thesedays, there are so many portable monitors that support "switch" without dock. This monitors directly connect to "switch".
They use "usb-c" connect. And the don't need power charge to "switch".
When I use this portable monitors,
1. Can "nitro deck+" connect with monitor using these "usb-c" cable?
2. If that possble, don't need power charge to "nitro deck+" or "switch"?
The Nitro Deck + can be used as a controller as long as it is connected via the output post with a USB-C cable! So yes, if it is connected that way you won't need the switch to be connected!

Unfortunately, the OG Nitro Deck does not have the correct hardware to run in docked mode like that of the Nitro Deck +

Kinda feels like a giant Xbox controller & only $20 feels great once switch is in. Had it for a while. Nitro+ really is like a premium version of that. Truly gonna breathe new life into switch until switch 2 get here. Can't wait for that either aahhhh 😬🙆🏽

why woukd you transfer the buttons below the analog? you guys know switch does not revolve on FPS games only, right?
you might have created solutions from the previous model but also created a new issue since it will be really uncomfortable reaching those face buttons in most games in switch
I still haven't heard if I'll be able to use the deck as a controller while also using it as a dock so I can use it with my Xreal glasses and my Anker 737 battery, without having to also carry an extra controller, but I guess I can just pack an extra Neo S if I can't. I'm hoping it'll still be recognized as a USB controller, just like the original.
I can already tell the right buttons are too low, just like how the first versions thumbstick was. I dont know why this is so hard to get right.
I'm getting one for sure. I don't mind the clear black finish because now it's not prone to sweat/oil stains. I do with the sticks were black though.😅 But that's such a minor thing. Looking forward to the release!

Is there HD vibration? Or "SD vibration" even? I am interested in these but not if they offer just standard vibration.
The Nitro Deck only has standard vibration and rumble

HD rumble is just a fancy term for the preexisting rumble feature. It just rumbles in intervals in certain games like Mario Odyssey but it's a pointless gimmick that doesn't even change the existing game technology since the mid 90s.
@@PBJA89 i dont mind SD vibration. But I love HD rumble, some games use it incredibly well.

When the switch first released, there were all sorts of reports of 3rd party docks bricking peoples switch. Could you confirm that nitrodeck+ in dock mode should be safe from this issue? Is this related to the recommendation to use the original switch power block?
The Nitro Deck has been thoroughly tested, and there have been no signs of bricking switches! We do recommend to charge the device with the Nintendo power block due to the fact that voltage is the correct amount, which won't damage the battery.
You're talking about the 2017 system itself which had exploits and issues. The OLED should definitely work just fine but there's also a new console coming so, it's up to you to get the OLED now or wait.
Can it be used as a controller while docked?
Yes it can!
I really want to buy this but I like the original layout better. You know with the actions buttons on the top and the joystick in the bottom. Can you maybe release a version that can have this?
There's no plans to bring back the OG layout at the moment, but we appreciate the feedback and will be sure to consider it moving forward!

Yes it does, it has improved vibration and rumble!
I pre-ordered it thinking I would receive it by the end of April, or beginning of May and now I’m getting an email saying that shipping has been delayed until the first week of June.
