Looks like the kind of gear I'd rely on. Very professional. Great video too, thanks 🤘
Mitch is a musical hero.
Love my Tascam model 24...
Great Video. 😃👍♥️
I have never seen anyone spec a Tascam desk for anything 😊
But with dante and at 96khz. That’s pretty neat
great video
looks so cool and big help both stage and daw
i want to mix on the digico s31 sooooo baaaddd
Looks like the Tascam crew said: what are Digico and A&H doing well?…. let’s do that
Tascam looks nice, but 7,000 dollars is steep. The first thing I noticed was the delay when you made a screen selection, that should not happen on a 7,000 dollar mixer. I thought maybe 4,000 and thats only because everything is so high right now.
When I was looking at the allen&heath when it came out, it was around 9,000 but now around 13,000.
Hopefully they will come back down in price soon.
It would have been nice to hear the mixers/fx/dynamics with a band or tracks and see them in action, come on Sweetwater. Mitch was great as always.
That delay should not happen on a 1500 mixer either
@Anneke de Bruyn for sure, im surprised that apple hasn't made a deal with some companies to use their tablet in these mixers for the best in touch screen operation. Imagine how smooth that would be.
350 dollar ipad will blow away any touchscreen competition.
Latency over USB daw control 24 bit 96khz 64 samples?
Hmm... I would like to see some rack-mountable versions of hardware mixers. That would be cool! :)
🔥🔥🔥✊
Who is this for? Bedroom producers?
Allen stands out
Avantis is impressive 😮
Can you tell me more about it? How does it stack up?
The Tascam looks like a digital mixer 15 years ago…
Actually, it looks like A&H SQ6... the layout is almost identical. I wonder if it's made by A&H or sth.
Oh I can tell you what a very expensive one looked like 19 years ago look up the Yamaha M7CL 48
On the tascam, what the hell is the point of 54 bit floating point? 32bit float already has 1500db of dynamic range... ??
That’s the processor
ProTip: If you want a Allen&Heath console with a Dante card. Buy the CARD FIRST, then wait 12 months for it to ship before you actually buy the console.
That’s funny and true 😀
😂 we didn’t realize how difficult it would be to find a dante card
Afaik the Tascam Sonic View 16 has more of everything, except it has only a 4 band parametric EQ per channel, which in 2024 is quite honestly nearly insulting.
So which console is the best one for a medium large church?
Yamaha is generally the easiest if you’re going to have volunteer mixers, but you’ll need a tio stagebox to get the last 16 channels. The digico has a few more onboard preamps which are likely better sounding than the Yamaha pres if 24 is enough but digico stageboxes are way more.
What is really great is the Dante built into the Tascam and Yamaha. It’s a bombproof network protocol and if you have a Dante card in you pc you can get low enough latency for processing externally and sending it back your desk in time to come out the foh
@@ethanblood2908 basically, my church need a 64 channel digital board where we would run the whole service from and sends for streaming/ recording. I’m also looking for great quality audio and future proofed or expandability as well. Which board would be ideal?
I thought you will talk about the avid S6L, I think it is the most powerful digital mixer in the market.
True
This are next level console not future level.... S6l belongs in the future
@@ekemedoemmanuelemeka9665 You are completely right👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻, the S6L just beyond what today digital mixer can do, almost like a DAW for live mixing, but yet the latency very little til no one will never notice.
2:00 xD
lol
😂😂
Regardless of what mixer someone gets, they should always get a waves server. Waves dynamics always sound better than ones built into mixers, even Digico. And the C6 and F6 are must haves.
Yeah if you are willing to subscribe to waves new rip off scheme, i rather have good outboard.
@@crust616 out board gears are the best beauties and quality ever changes the media production industry
They always forgot the before it is software it is a equipment and if it is a equipment then it gold and quality ever.
Yes I agree equipment parts are a Killin but not as much as subscription and expired update and upgrades and add-ons
@@crust616 Waves sure did jump the shark with the subscription move... I personally wouldn't pay for subscription even if it was 10 cents a month.
Not true. I've heard mixes sounding great using the on-board dynamics sounding better than waves.
@@crust616 My only problem with outboard gear is 1. The price and 2. The inconsistency from unit to unit.
The lower in Yamaha's do not sound very good. Very thin pre's. The ql is just an upgraded LS9 which belongs at the bottom of the lake.
It's alright for corporate events.
I’m just hear to learn.
Noob here..what's your take on the CL?
@@musikman337 he probably thinks it belongs at the bottom of a lake and uses x32s….
Too many menus I’ll take a regular mixer anyday
