I had an office colleague who was lazy, dishonest, selfish, left early without finishing his days work & dry-humped several female colleagues without their permission. He got away with it all because he was the most popular person in the office. It was rare that anyone complained about him & if they did, the boss sided with him.
The #1 should have been that the workers at the office didn't know they were famous. The finale showed that the reality show was extremely popular, yet none of them had any idea? No fans looking them up? No prank calls to the office? None of them secretly watching the show? Now that's suspension of disbelief

I have one...the IT subject matter. I am an IT professional and clearly the writers don't have any idea how corporate IT works. I will give a couple of examples. 1. From the series finale: "Your internet searches were so filthy we had to throw out your computer.": The search history is software. Software can (easily) be wiped. If need be, you could do a DoD secure wipe on the drive and erase the contents. If the searches were illegal (ie: Child Pornography), the company would have had a duty to report Kevin to the authorities and he would be in jail rather than owning a bar. Rather than throw out the PC, simply reimage it and it will be good as new. 2. Andy trying to break his computer so he can get a new one: First of all, he sticks a piece of bologna with mustard in the CD drive. On the surface, that would seem like it would cause severe hardware damage. However, the truth is it might destroy the CD drive, while leaving the rest of the system in tact. One could simply buy a new $75 (or less) drive to replace it. Problem solved. As far as "Accept all cookies. Certainly!" see above. The worst that could happen would be browser or corruption in Windows. In that case, simply reimaging the PC would solve that.
KEVIN: owns a bar at the end of the series, defeated Andy and Darryl in a game of Dallas, is a high stakes gambler, can play the drums, first to know about all the office romances, first to know about Pam's pregnancy, defeated Oscar at trivia..... The funny thing about this is that for half of these to not make sense, you have to assume that those who hold the higher positions at Dunder Miflin were actually people who paid attention and weren’t completely inept at their jobs. Regarding number 1...this is supposedly a documentary type reality show, with approximately 22 minutes of footage from roughly 25 weeks of the year. In other words just over 9 hours of total footage for every year of the show. In any real office it would be quite easy to find 9 hours of footage, broken down into 1-5 minute periods, of people not working during an entire year. If you figure each office is at work for eight hours each day, five days per week, 52 weeks per year, minus some holidays, there should be roughly 2,000 hours of working time in the office each year. We are only seeing a very tiny fraction of their work lives.

A mockumentary needs to be realistic as an in-universe documentary. That's why this video is more valid than nitpicking about a regular sitcom. No one is going to complain about camera angles on "Friends". The original "The Office" (UK) was very strict about being realistic and acknowledging the cameras and microphones. Other shows took on the mockumentary format, but then turned into regular sitcoms with only sporadic interview clips. Most notably "Parks and Recreation", which I love, but which doesn't work at all as a mockumentary.
Well, unlike Friends The Office have connections between its events through the seasons and it has made often brave decisions and it is the most unconventional and one of a kind show with no laugh tracks at all and its camera work is also quite realistic it gives documentary vibes.
I have a lot of these same nitpicks about Superstore, which is essentially The Office in a Wal-Mart. A lot of the "why doesn't so-and-so get fired?" questions from the first three seasons could be explained away by Glenn being too much of a people-pleaser to actually discipline anybody, and the general incompetence of Cloud 9's corporate management. Now that Amy is store manager, it's a little harder to swallow. At the end of the day, who really cares, because it's funny, and it's satirizing real-life workplace incompetence that a lot of employees seem to get away with for way longer than they should.

It followed him to the gas station, to the food-truck, and to the restaurant. 4: You are forgetting that Andy WAS fired... well, was going to be, but he quit to pursue his dreams. Besides, Wallace dealt with Michael for years and years. Clearly it takes a lot to get Wallace to be mad. Also, if you know the characters, you'll see for the most part they are generally hard-working and productive. Also, luck. 5: Everyone grows from things they used to love, maybe Michael understood his dundies were a big time waster and just wanted to throw one last rager before he left. Or, maybe it just didn't make good tv. 6: Colorado is far from Pennsylvania. Maybe Michael had one of those small weddings. I mean, he already spent a lot on the rock, imagine even more on a huge wedding. 7: Maybe Jim had some inspiration, lol. I mean, the doc was open to the public, just like the U.S. doc opened to the public. Maybe Jim likes him some paper docs. 8: OK, did you forget how Michael was about to run Dunder outta business (or so they thought)? Michael was driving a hard bargain. 9: The only ones who could do something about it is Michael and Toby. Michael is annoyed by Dwight's yes-man attitude and likes Jim. He isn't useful. And Toby mentally checked out since June. Also, Stanley and Michael are different, as it looks like an insubordinate falsely addressing a superior, as opposed to "Fun friends pranking each-other" 10: Can no one degenerate or become slower and less intelligent? Or he has gained some acting skills (get it?) 11: It was stated Stanley has the most consistently high sales records, Dwight has set the record for sales, and Jim has the most fluctuating (as in peaking and dipping) sales records. Angela and Oscar are competent mathletes. Meredith Palmer, supplier relations. Word no, not even in her vocabulary. And when it comes to Creed, Kevin, Kelley and Ryan, I don't know. They don't have to be excellent, just competent. Honorable mentions: Oscar, the token gay Mexican, stay here and keep working for us, Mr.Token. Also, our new travelling salesman, who is TRAVELLING, not from the Annex to the water cooler, miss, from city to city! Nellie gave Robert a stiffy. Dwight is protected? Where was it confirmed his son? He could be a step-son, he could be taking care of him on parental consent, he could just be a young boy the senator knows, like a nephew or cousin.
When Pam and Jim had a baby, the camera was in their hospital room. It wasn't even a private room, there was another couple sharing it. There's no way Jim and Pam would have allowed this. The camera crew probably wouldn't have been allowed in the maternity ward at. For Pam's dialogue to be heard, she would have had to wear a microphone, when she's just given birth and learning to breastfeed her baby. None of that made any sense.

Michaels proposal would destroy every piece of paper and all the electronics. That proposal would cost probably more than 10k, lol.
Number 1: How is creed even work there?
Oscar quitting: he said he was going to quit but was offered the vacation/car. It doesn’t mean they knew he was going to quit.
1: The camera was ALREADY filming Michael. Clearly they got permits before they even arrived with Michael to the airport. For all we know, they could have said Pam was a part of the crew.
2: They could have been prepping for a film or Jim told them.
3: There was a camera following Michael as well as Holly, Erin, and Dwight. It followed him to the gas station, to the food-truck, and to the restaurant.
4: You are forgetting that Andy WAS fired... well, was going to be, but he quit to pursue his dreams. Besides, Wallace dealt with Michael for years and years. Clearly it takes a lot to get Wallace to be mad. Also, if you know the characters, you'll see for the most part they are generally hard-working and productive. Also, luck.
5: Everyone grows from things they used to love, maybe Michael understood his dundies were a big time waster and just wanted to throw one last rager before he left. Or, maybe it just didn't make good tv.
6: Colorado is far from Pennsylvania. Maybe Michael had one of those small weddings. I mean, he already spent a lot on the rock, imagine even more on a huge wedding.
7: Maybe Jim had some inspiration, lol. I mean, the doc was open to the public, just like the U.S. doc opened to the public. Maybe Jim likes him some paper docs.
8: OK, did you forget how Michael was about to run Dunder outta business (or so they thought)? Michael was driving a hard bargain.
9: The only ones who could do something about it is Michael and Toby. Michael is annoyed by Dwight's yes-man attitude and likes Jim. He isn't useful. And Toby mentally checked out since June. Also, Stanley and Michael are different, as it looks like an insubordinate falsely addressing a superior, as opposed to "Fun friends pranking each-other"
10: Can no one degenerate or become slower and less intelligent? Or he has gained some acting skills (get it?)
11: It was stated Stanley has the most consistently high sales records, Dwight has set the record for sales, and Jim has the most fluctuating (as in peaking and dipping) sales records. Angela and Oscar are competent mathletes. Meredith Palmer, supplier relations. Word no, not even in her vocabulary. And when it comes to Creed, Kevin, Kelley and Ryan, I don't know. They don't have to be excellent, just competent.

The reason Danny is never shown again is the same reason you barely see Packer throughout the entire show.

When Pam and Jim had a baby, the camera was in their hospital room. It wasn't even a private room, there was another couple sharing it. There's no way Jim and Pam would have allowed this. The camera crew probably wouldn't have been allowed in the maternity ward at. For Pam's dialogue to be heard, she would have had to wear a microphone, when she's just given birth and learning to breastfeed her baby. None of that made any sense.

First of all, Ryan was rehired and David was not happy with it at all. It was Michael that decided to take him back.
