Abandoned House I thought was Empty - Found Untouched Collectible Items

- This day I explore an abandoned home with vintage items and antiques left forgotten. I thought this house was empty. The amount of belongings this lady abandoned 8 years ago was unbelievable. Everything was left behind and the power is still on. Most of the collectibles were left untouched and still on display. I hope to return to this home soon to complete this explore.

The Exit sign above the door makes me think it was a shop. Someone must be paying the electric bill.
Sherri Zahand there must be a few places that go undetected by power companies?
It was a store, so the electric uses is either been paid up in advance or its link through an individual line bought from the owner. It's very common
Some countries get free electric .
Sure looked like a business of sorts. Perhaps online.
It make sense
It's a good thing you dont say where this is. Imagine the rush of people who'd come running to this place.
The place reminds me of a hidden object game ,find the half eaten apple, find the crystal ball, find leather face in the basement
If the AC is running then the electric bill is being paid. Just because no one is there doesn't mean that it has been abandoned. Be careful not to get shot or arrested for burglary.
It looks like the 90's lol I dont think so.
Exactly...if you have No permission to enter..then you are not safe...period...
@@juliad.6372 people buy houses to store stuff. They prob were too busy with other stuff in there life.
My thoughts exactly.
Wow! You could have been arrested or injured. Walk around and check the electric meter next time!!!
Amazeballs!!! It's like literally stepping back into 1980's!
Oh my gosh !!!!!!!!!!!! I remember being a little kid about 6-7 years old (I’m now 27) and my father and I would go to hallmark or other gift shops that sold this stuff for my mom,,, every Mother’s Day we would get her one of the cottage collectibles bears,, wow amazing find !!! I hope it stays untouched and the owners can eventually find homes for this stuff,,, it’s almost like a time machine omg the memories !!!! And to everyone saying these are cheap collectibles think again good lord ! Lol one small bear about 3-1/2”-4” tall sold for minimum 35 bucks and up, I remember saving up for a large one cost me better part of 175 bucks these are good quality collectibles from the late 80’s through the 90’s, thanks for the video and the smile 😊 awesome job !!!!!!!!
please find the owner
I'm like... forget the cheap Chinese knick knacks...it's the antique furniture pieces that caught my eye!
Super find!!
I would love to have some of those pieces!
I agree. Antiques are fabulous. He didn't mention the old sleigh.
I’m looking for Hummel statuettes and figurines!!! Those bitches are worth money! Hey Saul Goodman, want an easy score?! Haha
@@nessiegrrl78 (he probably already did)
@@nessiegrrl78 Don't waste your money---"People were paying ridiculous prices for Hummels, anywhere from $100 to $5,000," Kathleen Guzman, an appraiser for Heritage Auctions, told Business Insider. "In today's market ... for a group of 10, an auctioneer will hardly accept $30 for them."
The lawn is mowed. No way this is abandoned!
The real tragedy here is not the hoards of trinkety Xmas themed crap, but the gorgeous antique wood furniture buried beneath it!
Garry Rondeau I know what you mean I see a lot of good collectibles there so I believe it probably was some kind of store. The furniture and the slays those things are absolutely beautiful but he did say they were broken windows so I don’t understand why all that stuff is sitting there and nobody’s doing anything with it. it’s a shame I collect Boyds Bearstones and I see those there well they are stones and I see those there
those aren't all trinkets, a lot of the stuff is made by crafts people, same as the furniture
Oh my what a house!!! I can't believe all that stuff just sitting there! I love the antique furniture it's just fantastic!!! Thanks for the tour!!! Be careful!!!
This place was a gift shop. Those boxes in the closets were empty and were used when someone bought the item that was on display that came in the boxes. What a sweet find but also so sad! Someone put a lot of their time and money into this store and now it’s just going to waste. Some of that has a bit of value but the whole collection? Worth tons!!! Very cool Dane!
This was truly a gem. We all dream of finding places like this. One heck of a find.
Thanks JP
I don't understand why anyone would consider this house or any other abandoned property a valuable find if nothing can be done with it. Just look at it? Someone needs to find out how to put these old, abandoned properties to use for people living today and why it hasn't already been done...government restrictions I would guess or unpaid taxes?
Something just not right, that place don't have build up dust
that is weird. the place is riddled with cob webs but no real layered dust on any items.
She's still there Justified
I was just thinking the same thing 8 years and not even a single speck of dust on anything, somethings really not right
Kim Wheeler its all trapped in the aircons dust filter? thats my only thought plus if there is no foot traffic dust won't build up as it consists of dead skin so how can it build up if there are no people living there?
Because it’s being used for storage and not abandoned at all. Smh
Dang that shelf with Hummel's figurines. Those things are worth a fortune.
Hummels are not worth that much anymore
This house was also explored by another Team and did some back checking and gift shop was operated in the home at one time.
Will you post that video link, if you can find it
I had a hunch that’s what the case was... And no, not ALL women are interested in those things.
I knew it had to be a buisness at some point becuase the exits are noted by signs
I thought it looked like it was a gift shop.
The one time I want someone to take property or find the owner and help them figure out something to do with all this stuff. Because it's hard seeing all these unique items that are in such great condition just sit to waste away😟
I was thinking something very similar. Go to the county tax office and find out who the owner is and reach out. If it's an individual w/out family they may welcome the help & you could make some money. It appears that this person ran a shop or mail order business based on the season. But it's definitely not abandoned.
@@ccnrps123 Agreed you can see price tags hand written amount of costs on them.
Some people just won't sell stuff.
@K. S. Ikr I think it might have been an older person who passed away let’s say in the early 2000s and the family probably couldn’t pay the bills so the bank took it and they are the one paying the bills. 🤔
That is crazy, either she was a hoarder or had a shop in her home. I recognize a lot of it that my folks had laying around the house, mostly from the late '80s.
I was drooling more over the antique furniture and baby carriages than I was over all the knick knacks.
Wouldn’t you goggle the address to see name of business and owner or property. Wouldn’t the nearby neighbors know what happened?
Whoa! So much stuff and the AC is on, really weird. Dane, I’m amazed you even found this place! 😊
I couldn't believe it myself.
If this house is "abandoned" then why is the grass cut and the shrubs trimmed and yeah, who pays the electric bill?
The grass wasn't cut. I was standing in the shade of the neighbor's house. This grass will be completely overgrown in 2 months.
I've read stories of elderly people dying in their homes and nobody finds out for months or years because everything was paid via automatic payments. Automatic payments don't stop just because a person dies, someone has to stop it. Google it.
How long has automatic payments been around and also Wynton the money had run out by this time I think this house is from the 80s from the look of the wallpaper and some of the day core
There was a blue plastic walmart bag that couldnt have been but maybe a year or so old. Also there was very minimal dust on the shelves and tables which says that if it is abandoned it has not been very long.
@@hawkproductions3853 no cobwebs were crazy. Looks like 30 yrs because the merchandise is 80s
You should find out about this gift shop and contact the owners. It made me SAD! I was imagining OMG the lady who had this store having passed away and the property tied up. Someone could buy all that stuff and sell it. It makes me sad!,
Definitely was a store because I had one for 16 years and recognize this stuff and displays during the 90’s. When you have a country store they look good when you have them in a Home style setting. My store was called All Things Country. Lots of money in inventory so I’m surprised it wasn’t sold off after the owner died or quit running it unless it’s owned by a bank or someone that thinks it’s not worth anything.
Vivian Martin,I agree with everything you said, yes all those Knick knacks and country blue color wall paper is from the 1990's era.
I also had a store in a house. That's the same thing I was thinking.
It's not worth much now. I gave all my 90's stuff to salvation army.
I would be able to sell some of that stuff online even though it’s dated. some of the porcelain figurines, the sleds, the furniture, the wooden boxes and probably a lot of the resin figurines. There are people who collect that stuff somewhere in the world.
,my guess is that the people living there was selling that stuff, the price tag is still on them, just beautiful
Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers.Thank you for watching , I hope you enjoyed!
Thanks ❤️
Urbex Dane thank you
Urbex Dane omg I always get flowers for my nanna and had a scare then thinking I missed mother’s (grandmothers😂) day. Then I remembered USA is different to UK .... haha 🤣
Urbex Dane
Thank you!! 💜
Thanks Dane for this great Mothers Day video!!
I love to see emty homes with antiques. Every house tells a story.
Please please keep sharing these video's, but NEVER NEVER TAKE ANYTHING. I believe in respecting someone's life left behind like a museum.
eventually the environment, the government, land developers, or estate salespeople will sell or destroy those things, most likely destroy if the government is handling it. it's better if those things can be removed and made of use or value to someone else before they are destroyed, i'm sure the original owners would want their possession to return to the fold and benefit the lives of people, perhaps a new generation of collectors so the cycle continues, rather than sit there and waste away in oblivion and eventually be damaged by rain, mold, or a bulldozer. ethical looters are a valuable part of the urbex ecosystem. they rescue value from certain destruction and sell those to people all around the world.
@@cagneybillingsley2165 totally agree. Maybe someone could find owner and offer something or offer to take and clean up
What an incredible find! Definitely a shop. So much stock! I could spend hours and hours there just looking at it all! Shame it's all just left abandoned :(
You don't know its abandoned, only this youtuber told you it was. How does he know? I feel saddened that so many people think its so cool these guys go into other peoples property. That its ok cause the door is unlocked. Without permission its trespassing. I hope I never leave my door unlocked to run down to the market. These "explorers" would just walk into my house as you please and broadcast my personal items on you tube. I don't want to sound hateful. I am concerned for these people safety. They are going to end up dead "exploring" in a stand your ground state. And I am upset that a lot of folks here think it alright to just waltz into a strangers property. I wish these explorers will use better judgement in the future. And also consider the feelings of the homeowners. Even if its owned by the bank. ✌❤
Omg I agree hrs upon hrs, we would definitely have fun lol
Somebody's been watching the home shopping network lol 😂
A testament to the community....if this was abandoned near me...it would be empty ...looted and probably burnt out!!
My house has more dust than this place that is supposed to be abandoned for 8 years
Wow the place was stacked full, a collectors dream come true. I wonder what happened to the people ??????????. Thanks Dane, it was awesome and a great find too. x
I like to know how you got in there. I'm sure it was locked with all that stuff inside.
Someone used they're house as an antique store 👍👍
What's behind the metal doors what I want to know
Such an amazing find dude!!! 👍👍👍Absolutely awesome video as always man!!
As I watched this video this is a abandoned gift shop store.
Wow- it's hard to believe that in this day and age of freaks and disrespect that this place looks almost untouched. Amazing!
This person must of had a store with the stuff still in boxes and price tags still on. Nice to watch on mother's day.
I cant take it!! The things in there are so nice! I hate to know they are gonna be left there! Someone needs to give this stuff a home!
Don't people realize it's someone's property. It's not sitting free for taking. If person is deceased, belongs to the estate. It behind on mortgage. Belongs to bank. If behind on taxes. County has tax sale.
People act like If Noone there it's free for taking so it doesn't go to waste,
How would feel if this was your relatives and was taking forever to decide who inherits it
It was obviously a gift shop, all items had tags including the pictures. The boxes upon boxes were the inventory to sell. Wow
Agree
It looks like they had an antique shop that sold Hallmark type stuff too. That looks like inventory.
It's clearly being used as a warehouse for overstock 1990s merchandise. The retail price of some of that stuff is about $20. But the going price seems to be about $10 in the box. The out of box stuff is worth about $2 - $5. Still even if they sold it all off at $2 an item, there is thousands of dollars worth of stuff there. You would think the owners would do something with it.
Someone sure had a lot of money to buy inventory,it would take forever to clear that place out, thank you,I loved seeing this.
I dont think this was a residential only home. It looks like a small business where the owners might have lived too. A lot of the knick knacks have price tags and there was an exit sign above a doorway.
You're right she lived in the back portion of the property.
Katherine Fite probably an ederly persin who couldn't take care of it anymore and abandoned it.
Looks like it was once a lovely gift shop, I especially like the Christmas items. Shame to see it this way.
Wow. Good find here. Almost seems like whoever left all this stuff owned a store to sell it in. Maybe they had to close up shop
Mike Lamprecht
I've seen a lot of little gift stores just like this out of people's homes.
Exaclty what I was thinking
Mike Lamprecht / I agree. so sad.
Geri, very sad almost seems like American dreams are breaking a lot. But then, the failed ones are the ones we are interested in so we can investigate why?
I think if someone will use these lovely things then the person who had left all this behind and the souls of these things will be happy..
They are waiting for someone to come and use them...
Note:-If it's really abandoned.
Unfreaking believable!! I hope no one trashes that place!! So sad. I wonder what happened to the person that owned all that!
Mary i would be devastated if this house gets destroyed.
Urbex Dane...What I'd like to know, have you reported your findings (house not secured, not locked, contents, etc.) to the proper authorities? You never said you did. That's what a responsible citizen should do!
Urbex Dane go back and collect this stuff before someone else destroys it
dixie hefner he probably hasn’t as he doesn’t answer you. Hence he really care.
@@janeS9773 it will all rot away thats what happens if you dont give away to family ot pals. Put in paperbut you can die very quickly. Igive things away. Dont want my sons they not want junk so dont keep things polly scotlandx
I get a warm feeling watching this house. Homey. She liked Christmas
I think this place was a shop, there are price tags on almost everything . Thats why all the boxes, when she made a sale she would look on the price tag & there would be a item # that would match the box to put it in. ☮️
Yeap exactly what it looks like
Lisa Hazzard I agree, this was.a shop, store, online, something of that sort. I dont recall seeing a bedroom, living room, or anything that would indi ate this was a home. In fact the a/c still running appears as someone still owns and arwarr items are there, but just havent got to it yet. Still sad.... :(
Nonie Hayes Thank You ☮️
did anyone see the exit sign above the door this was a store
Lisa Hazzard bingo! Thats the same thing i thought too
Awww that’s so sad that’s literally someone’s valuables that they enjoyed looking at and just being surrounded by those items might of gave them great comfort, memories, n joy. I’ve Been am RN since 1999 this is typical with a lot of elderly women n gentleman that live alone or live together and one passes away so one of them tends to hold onto as many tangible objects which help comfort them as they even just glance or take a sniff of something that gives off certain senses that trigger neurons which remind them of certain events etc.... it’s therapeutic to a certain point. I read a comment that mentioned that the valuables may have came from a retail store which can be true as well or maybe she or they sold these things just as a hobby 😇 back to what I was going to mention that Ive seen a lot of is when elderly women n men get older or one passes away n there Immediate family members come in and try to help by putting them into a nursing home, boarding care home, or assisted living care facilities and as we can see by the look of things there’s a lot of work to be done at this particular residence n the family members are already overwhelmed “which is normal in any case” the family members don’t have the time to have estate sales or have the time to move all kinds of stuff into a storage unit that they will end up having to pay for many years of just stuff so what I should seen is they take the stuff that’s most valuable, pictures, paperwork etc.. n they leave the rest of the stuff in the houses knowing that someone will come along and make use of the stuff n there’s a lot of people who are respectful n don’t take a thing I just hate to see when vandals go in n destroy the things these abandoned homes which is just reckless n awful just uncalled for to damage someone’s belongings. I really enjoy watching these videos there’s things in homes that are so old it’s nice just to compare the stuff that’s like just 5-10 years old n things have advanced so much in short period of time it’s just amazing to see how things have rapidly changed n to see the stuff that’s left behind that do have stories that go with them 😇❤️🇺🇸💯‼️great job thank you for making this UA-cam video and sharing it with viewers keep up the great work ❤️😇💯🇺🇸‼️
Wow I can't wait for you to do a updated video on this one this is by far the best you found that I've seen yet
This is such a nice video. I'm a collector of 1970s to 90s tabloids and magazines, and memorbilia. 🙂
Dane, Ya know you've gotten us parents into some really hot water with our kids. We've told them that Santa Clause isn't real, and here you are showing his workshop... LoL!!!
From the looks of things that house was a gift shop and also sold antiques too...I LOVE THAT KINDA STUFF
Wow this looks like the first house you even done that isn't trashed shocking I wonder what happened to the owners
I’m just now seeing this one. I can’t believe all the stuff left behind. I’d love to look through everything. I hope no one comes in there and steals everything or destroys it. Ty for the cool video.
Wow, so much inventory. Would love to know why no one is selling these items.
I collect bears and this breaks my heart.
Yaasss, new vid 😄😄. And of course, another great one.
I rarely comment on exploring videos, but this one almost stopped my heart!!! At :.57 there is a figure a little left of the big Santa collectible and I STILL have it!!! I could spend days there!!!!
What an awesome Mother's Day gift~ ty, Dane!!
pretty. wallpaper. some. nice. things
I totally meant the upload! While I am floored at the amount of stuff, sadly it's a bit too... grandmotherly, not my taste. Nonetheless an amazing find!
If that house was here in South Africa, it would have been looted and moved into already! There's a _"gimme gimme my name is Jimmy"_ and _"grab"_ mentality in our country... _land grabbing, car grabbing, lawn grabbing_ (yes, they steal lawns from golf courses🙄). 😐 But I digress...
I don't like that we know nothing about these abandoned houses/buildings that UA-camrs record. I would love to know who these places belong/ed to etc. I feel a sadness come over me when I look at these abandoned houses. That was someone's life at one time. Kinda invasive in my opinion.
What is your race?
@@jessicadavis5932 South African white?
Theft seems to be a common problem in apartheid states.
The current rulers of apartheid israel are forever stealing land and much worse.
My family own a place like the ones in these videos. It is a long way from us but we check on it every few years. The neighbors keep a watch for looters. We keep it the way it was because we are too busy to deal with it and we figure one day one of us will deal with it.
They definitely owned a gift shop or that was a gift shop!
Lory D
Yeah, exactly my thoughts.
I want this house and all the contents. Wow.
If ac is on then how can it be considered abandoned? Someone is paying for electrical bill
Not necessarily....some utility companies loose track or the utilities could be on a program
@@semika28 What century and country do you live in? LoL Yeah, ok, it's feasible it could be ignored if under an automatic payment, but still, the Power Companies are required to perform periodic inspections.
It actually happens more often that you think. Some family members could have inherited the property and they continue to pay the utilities even though they live out of state.
@@kenarnold9132 I agree i dont know what shs was thinging. After u dont pay ur bills someone will come out and shut it off. Do ppl use any brains. Sorry my English is bad and I'm not sure of what all the laws are like in each state..
Que beyo que lindo como pueden avandonar eso😞😞😞😞😞
I want to live there and clean up the mess
Sometimes residences are tied up in probate but the families keep paying the utilities. I have a cousin who died in January intestate. We have a 6-month waiting period before we can touch the contents of her home. Meanwhile, her home sits empty, full of furniture, clothes, jewelry and collectibles and we can't do anything with the home or contents for another 2 months.
Well, these type of "explorers" would have no problem just wandering around, rifling through your cousin's stuff, taking what they want, etc.
Some of these explorers are without a doubt breaking and entering into places that are not abandoned but are in legal limbo, which is why they're so careful to not get caught.
zlover0201 you want to get caught
Or tied up in the basement!
@@AlbredaWelde for your information since you like to stereotype people...these explorers make it known they do not take anything from the places that is mot why they are there. And just fyi most of them actually have contacted the owner or city etc to get permission to video the place.
Sorry to say but a lot of that stuff would have been very popular in the 80s and 90s but now it's just bric a brac that makes more clutter and collects dust. Younger people these days want a nice clean look. Otherwise, with that place standing open, a lot of that would be gone. I saw some big items I would have given my eye teeth for when I was younger and had a big house. That is very sad and I wonder what happened to the owner. Thanks for the fun tour!
Yep--all my 90's bric-a-brac went to salvation army. I did like the curved front curio cabinet and the antique bureau but that's all I would be interested in. Even antique furniture is losing value and hard to sell now days.
Best get out before it's too late
I think this is a antiques shop, I saw this kind antique store like a home on UA-cam, it's must be something happened to the owner, feel very sad all this antiques was abandoned, it is expensive and original products .
That makes me so sad. Amazing how one's life can just end so suddenly and no one to care about your life or legacy.
Sounds like the owner passed away. 😭😢
Its so unreal that so many things were left here! Like one day they woke up and disappeared ....
Jen you ain't lying. I can only imagine what's in the other section.
All the Boyds Bear collectible items caught my eye!. Looks like a gift shop the way it's set up/displayed.. esp with all the boxes.. people that collect Boyds, Moo' s etc figurines want the box when they purchase them.. I bet in its prime this was a really nice gift shop. I use to love going in places like this looking around. Thanks for sharing ☺
looks almost like a retail place with all those tags still on some items, maybe she was selling some collectibles too ??
We just had the same thing happen in our area. They probably moved and are still paying the electric to keep the items from fading fast. Alot of the stuff in this house is collectible. I just pray no kids light this place on fire. That's what happened here last week. The woman had moved kept paying electric and water. 4 kids lit it on fire. It was like 4 or 5 alarm. We were there for hours and hours.
Thank for the video. I enjoyed it! 😊
This ladies sold collectables I saw Boyd's Bears, Knickerbocker Bears, I collected those. I also saw Snow Babies and Precious moments. And Cherished Teddies my favorites I had 600 at one time but lost my collection due to disaster.. I want those bear statues.
How cool is all that? How could the family just leave everything? Amazing!
Please go back, I NEED to see more!
yes ps go back.... need to see more of it
Dont do it dude,it's a set up!Never trust an old lady who gushes over 10 cent crap sold as valuable collectibles!👜👯
I LOOVE these videos!☺Thanx!! I get REALLY interested when I see an abandoned house or building on a thumbnail! Who agrees?
Wonderful video.. Loved the music, goes well with what you have captured. Thank you.. Have a blessed week. Stay safe!
I cannot help but believe this home and the adjacent building is a warehouse of sorts for a gift shop or Christmas shop business, and this is all the inventory.
Totally amazing Explorer brother, I have never seen so much cool stuff. I'm really surprised that who owns that property doesn't have a huge sale! thanks for sharing have a great day:)
I’d love that furniture. I wish I could find an abandoned place like this.
Someone is using that place as storage.
Omg i wanna some cute miniature doll house 😍
How the heck do you find these places? Lol Cool video! 👍
Love the color of the walls in that house

That's the cleanest walls and a cleaners surroundings that I've seen in abandoned houses even in a mansions

I hope there is family that can do something with all that wonderful stuff, i see things i would love to buy
Man I see some of my collectables in there, this is so depressing to watch, how very sad, there is some major $$$$$$$$$$ in this house.
LOOKS LIKE MANY PEOPLE HAVE ENTERED AND NEVER EXITED!
Man, that's crazy. Did the previous owner die??
Most logical assumption is that the owner is not dead. More likely in a nursing home for the past 8 years. They are still paying the bills but lack the energy to keep a business running. Very sad
ReNegaDe-SpitFire in that case this is breaking and entering!
I think he die
The ones called buds are super cute !!! And the Moo Moos 😊
Working in the criminal justice field all these people that feel it's ok to go into any building without permission is trespassing. It is illegal, you can be arrested .
Well no shit, tell every one somthing we dont know?
What a treasure house!! I would have loved to be in there personally to look around!! 😊😊👍👍 I collect Cherished Teddies popular back in the early 90's & also Precious Moments Figurines! I get them from garage sales & thrift stores & I just ❤ my little treasures!! Thank you for showing this I truly enjoyed watching it. 😊😊❤👍👍
Yeah it’s a retail store. No question.
And it does say I’m the title House and Store
Pause halfway through to comment.. I can't BELIEVE all this stuff. What a video you have for us here..Now it's a few months later, and I'd Love to believe that (some of ?) this stuff has been saved. With some windows broken the air-con won't work efficiently ..and those lovely old items and collectibles will eventually deteriorate. So Hey, Thanks for filming all this. Fascinating to see it all, but WHAT would it take to save the most significant items ?? Man oh man.
That place has to be an in-house Curio shop...thats no regular place!!!
I believe that this person used this portion of the house as a store. There are tags on most of the items. What a beautiful find! Yes I'm sure of it especially when I saw the boxes of items upstairs.
