The ads for hair transplants make me feel stronger, I shave my head, I didn't need surgery or medication to kill my insecurity. I like my shaved head, it is part of who I am, I accepted it and I rock it now. Bald and bold, this is the only way for proud men.
It's absolutely criminal what some of these Hair Replacement, hair restoration. ads do to a man's confidence, his ego, his self esteem and saying that there is no reason to live if you have no hair and the tragic and sad thing about it is many men have committed suicide just for this reason because they hit a man where he is most vulnerable.....his ability to get it on with a woman, it's a dirty tactic and it ought to be outlawed because it is criminal. Some of these commercials are decades-old and the good part about it is mindsets are changing men are now waking up to the fact that hair or no hair they've still got it, hair doesn't make you who you are.... you can have a whole head of hair and be a loser. Hair Replacement wigs toupees whatever it is can't give you confidence you either have confidence or you don't have confidence. And because these commercials have some age on them in today's world women find men sexy so that's a big change from these old decades old commercials.
Thanks for sharring this Harry. If any other demographic were treated with as little respect as we are in the media it would be considered hate speech.
If advertising marketers tried this shit on with say, woman who are perceived as 'fat' or people who are 'short' or anything else except baldness, they would have law suits slapped on them overnight and would be shut down!
Jesus there would be uproar if there was an ad like this about fat women. And that’s at least something you can change. Balding men really get it rough
Chris Clarkson I think the actual actual of plucking up the courage to just get rid of it builds up a lot of inner confidence that is then carried on throughout
I remember a few years ago at the gym there was a Regaine Foam advert on TV that kept coming on (on the gym's own TV channel that played music). Pretty much every 15 minutes in the advert breaks it would come on. Hearing “Worried about hair loss?” blare through the speaker system was proper awkward. I felt shame, sorrow and awkwardness. I felt like everyone was looking at me. Whilst that may not have actually been the case, it didn't matter. I felt it and that was bad enough.
Andrew Moss damn I can just imagine. You are worrying about it and even in the gym trying to improve in other ways only to have a constant reminder. Nightmare.
Yea they’re just trying to shame bald men into wasting money on treatments that either don’t work, look fake or end with permanent scarring. There is no cure for male pattern hairloss just inadequate treatments. Keep working on the things you can change and ignore the bullshit

Just grow the beard..there are just a few people that have full hair+beard. The average bearded guy is thinning, and the full hair guy has no beard. Btw doesnt matter if bald, half bald or not bald, i would look 10000 times better than others, because of my face structure, style etc.
Good stuff mate!! the media is definitely pumping so much funds to sell by turning around to people's insecurities and making things blow out of proportion though such ridiculous marketing . Plus if you notice, all the bald guys in the ads youve shown happen to be fat, out of shape, dull and dress horrible to give an overall impression that they are all just plain losers.
Funny thing is there was a bald ad on before this video. The fact men and society put so much self worth in HAIR....HAIR (LMAO) is the most pathetic thing I can imagine. Similar to guys who put their worth into things and materials vs. Their own physical and mental health. Notice how all the bald guys in these ads have a dopey look, reek insecurity, look unhealthy, etc. Put dwayne johnson in those situations, the women would flock to him instead of tyler with a crew cut lmao.
Ryan Turner it’s true, they over exaggerate how terrible the stereotypical “bald man” is. When in reality it’s nothing like that. Some good comments in here. Another mentioned the fact just how many dopey insecure guys there are even with hair. The hair isn’t the deciding factor.
Let me tell you my story. I agree these adverts are terrible, but this is just marketing. I started losing my hair and it bothered me a lot. In 2020, I had a hair transplant. Due to the pandemic, I couldn’t get a haircut, so I shaved my head and I hated how it looked. Some guys look good bald, I don’t. I’m quite a confident guy, and my hair loss never stopped me from getting girls. In fact, a female never commented on my hair loss. The only people to comment on my hair loss were other men! I never got a transplant to impress anyone. The only person I did it for was for me. I advise that you do the same. Bald dudes get just as many girls as men with hair. Baldness is masculine and girls like that. Getting a hair transplant is not going to have girls fall at your feet, but it may make you more happy and confident. Remember, it’s your happiness and confidence that makes you attractive. Hair restoration has helped me with that, and maybe it will for you too. Be mindful of the following; Hair loss is progressive. You are most likely going to need more than one. You can fix your hairline in your 20’s and by your 30’s you may have lost hair on the rest of your head. I am currently on my 2nd transplant. There’s no guarantee that hair will grow. This was my biggest concern, and thankfully my hair transplanted hair grew quite well. Most who have it done get good results, but just remember that there is a small chance it may not work very well. Be realistic. Don’t try to give yourself more hairline than you had before. It could possibly make it look fake. Have a very good discussion with the surgeon to ensure that you are both in agreement with where your hairline should be. My surgeon thought my hairline should be higher, I disagreed and we came to a decision that looked most natural. After all, you don’t want to make yourself look worse for having hair! Aftercare is extremely important and this includes smoking and drinking. Nobody told me that I had to stop smoking 3 weeks before the op. Make good lifestyle changes before and after. Surgery is the only way to see significant results. Forget all the other gimmicks on the market. They are a waste of money. Medication is not ideal either. Some guys think they will get their hairline fixed and then take medication to prolong the rest of their hair. You are just prolonging the inevitable. Avoid the chemicals and face that fact that you will probably need 2 to 3 procedures. It takes around 12 months. I fortunately got great results after 6 months. Every head is different. You’re going to have a scabby shaven head for the first month or so. Think about booking some time off work if you can. This is probably the worst thing about it. Just be honest if people ask, it’s no big deal. I didn’t notice people paying much attention to be honest. I hope this helps. Believe me, I know what you’re going through. Remember that happiness and confidence is what is really attractive.., if you believe hair restoration will give you that, and you are fine with the downsides, what are you waiting for? I'm in my late 40s and balding but I've always had thin hair but its only over the last 5 or 6 years that the balding got worse and I noticed it most when I had to renew my passport and that ten year difference was a big deal but the balding really doesn't bother me too much and while I am not married, I still date and people talk to me!!
