Quick bit of advice for anyone going through hair loss...I understand it's a difficult experience but try to STAY STRONG. Everyone goes through something. There are people living without hands, legs, sight, hearing etc. One of my best friends died about 2 months ago and left 3 young children behind. I think about him every day. Great video, thanks. I had a great head of hair through my teens, 20s and 30s, although went grey in late 20s. Baldness is supposed to be inherited from my maternal grandfather (my premature grey was), but he had a good head of hair into his 40s (when, sadly, he died in an accident). My Dad died at 79 with a good of hair too, so I was expecting to have hair all my life. Sadly not; I started balding in my 50s and mine went at the crown. So now I still have hair at the top front, but getting very thin on top and especially at the back and crown. I've done the same as you and shaved the rest off (or have a Number 1 Buzzcut). Have to say you look great with the shaved head and beard - suits you very well. My partner shaves his too as he went bald young - we're now often asked if we're twins!
One word - Redensyl. If you are in the early stages of hair loss this will maintain the hair you have, thicken the existing thinning hair and potentially re-grow some of the lost hair. This formulation is a revolutionary stem cell treatment, please do some research and I guarantee this will help.
Too bad I can't relate to my father at all, because he's still rocking mature NW2 at 71, while my hair decided to retire at ripe old age of 22. GG, I took after my grandfather, because my mom was a balding trap. Middle brother avoided the curse, but eldest also got the short stick at genetic lottery. I only wish everybody (including myself) were more informed about this, I would have jumped on therapy earlier. Salvaged the situation to NW3, so it's kinda too much to full shave it, but also too small to fully rock back the juvenile look. Not complaining though, I'm 28, hardly a teenager so whatever. In the meantime I didn't neglect to educate myself, build career and learn manual skills. I can handle myself in life.
Great video with your Dad. I feel there is a big resemblance in you both. Your dad made an interesting comment on a negative remark made by his female boss. He made a nice reply. A rethor I would make is "did you ever see a bald Ass" (donkey).
Can i ask you mate. When i go through my hair i usually find about 6 hairs around the crown region that fall out. That area looks noticeably thinner in photos. My hairline has matured a little bit but there is no major recession in that area. The crown just looks really thin. My dad and grandfather are both not bald - yet my mothers father is most of my uncles are too. Do you think I'll go bald?
I think it’s impossible to tell. Try not to worry about it as the worst thing that can happen is that you end up having to shave it off, it’s really not that big a deal. I spent a few years worrying about it and look back now and think it was complete wasted energy!!
My problem was that my father still has a full head of hair in his late sixties!! This made it harder for me to accept my hair loss as I had always thought I would be like him. I was also incredibly worried about what he would think of me losing my hair, things like would he be disappointed or just take the piss
After watching this I feel relieved. I been thinking I’ll go bald mostly because my dad did at 26, so that means my youth will be snatched away. However there may be some positivity to being bald, such as being humbled in a way I don’t imagine or saving money on hair products and shampoo. Either way, bald or not bald I’ll be grateful. Thanking God for life.

buzzukfiftythree haha that’s great! You did well to keep most of your hair into your 50’s though! Nice!
Same lol, dad has all his hair at 60 no grey and I'm losing it in my 20s
One word - Redensyl. If you are in the early stages of hair loss this will maintain the hair you have, thicken the existing thinning hair and potentially re-grow some of the lost hair. This formulation is a revolutionary stem cell treatment, please do some research and I guarantee this will help.
Sweet
I am too thinking of shaving my hair. Good work mate. U r an inspiration. And ur dad looks cool.
Your father looks similar to Ed Harris (younger version of him).
Great chaps. Where are you both from? It's not Suffolk somewhere else in East Anglia by any chance?
Can i ask you mate. When i go through my hair i usually find about 6 hairs around the crown region that fall out. That area looks noticeably thinner in photos. My hairline has matured a little bit but there is no major recession in that area. The crown just looks really thin. My dad and grandfather are both not bald - yet my mothers father is most of my uncles are too. Do you think I'll go bald?
I'm 19
I think it’s impossible to tell. Try not to worry about it as the worst thing that can happen is that you end up having to shave it off, it’s really not that big a deal. I spent a few years worrying about it and look back now and think it was complete wasted energy!!
My problem was that my father still has a full head of hair in his late sixties!! This made it harder for me to accept my hair loss as I had always thought I would be like him. I was also incredibly worried about what he would think of me losing my hair, things like would he be disappointed or just take the piss
May be your mother's side genetics is responsible.
3 brothers with amazing hair and my father❤ but i dont have...
Crazy thing for me after I took the hair off I was like damn I look good bald :)
This is a great channel. I'm going through the process exorcise my demons shave it off permanently. I shave it off then keep growing it back lol.
People who start balding at the crown 1st seem to go bald quicker
That is true that is what happen to me after trying to keep it for 11 years I took it off happy I did I end up loving my bald head :).
Great video man!
When your dad said the thing about the sun... I was like, that's such a great point, but then I remembered this was shot in the UK
Thank you! Glad you liked it! You might like some of the other podcast episodes too 😃. Also about the sun.. great advice for the 1 day a year in the UK 😂
I'm less than a minute in and will be getting back to the video later, but I'm struck by how uncomfortable you seem with your dad right next to you.
This is awesome. Your popz is wise and has a calming effect! Believe it or not, him mentioning that he once considered a hair transplant back in the day was a seed in my decision to try something different and get an FUE hair transplant. I’m now 5-days post transplant.
was it not the pop music group Right Said Fred who popularised the shaven-headed look for bald men back in the early 1990s? I don't recall seeing it much before then other than amongst the far-right skinhead crowd.
Hi so my dad is 41 and his hair looks good just a little thinning not to much looks good like that I said, and also my hair is thinning do you think I’m going bald?
With your close shave, it looks like you have a full head of hair
I'm bald with glasses and don't have a beard!!! Or Well!!!!! And the glasses are varifocals!!!!

Finasteride, minoxidil, derma rolling pretty sure thats a cure for balding
Those are your best chance at trying to keep your hair certainly. I'd add Hair Transplant in there also in the long term.
I didn't know your dad was Jim Carrey!!
😂
Good content
Good video
Very nice.
RJ Carter Thank you!!
Both are very handsome
My father is bald starting in his 20s but my paternal grandfather is thick and full head of hair until he died at 61. My maternal grandfather and also my maternal grandmother's brother are full head of hair. How's my chance to go bald like my father?
Rafi Azrilla Mumtaz not likely
my father started balding in his 20s and so did his father my maternal grandfathers has a full head of hair at 75 then he passed and my paternal grandmothers brother lost his hair but my moms brother all have there hair what are my chances
19 and balding. 😭
Apple Peel More time to rock and own being bald my man.
@Pep because fighting it rarely works, and takes more effort, time and money than it is worth. Shaved my head at 19, I'm now nearly 22 and really like the way I look, everyone you know will get used to it in like a week.
just Execellent
