Got the EM5 when it came out and the Zuiko 45mm was my first prime purchase and is still one of my favorites, even today I still use it. Used to call it my claustrophobic lens and I can't blame anyone for fearing the 90mm focal length. It is indeed a challenging lens when taking to the streets. You have to train yourself to see afar, fail to do this and you will miss a lot of opportunity. You also would start bumping into someone or something when you're eye is constantly wandering and framing, yes you will lose immediate spatial awareness quick lol Only use it for street photography if you feel adventurous and your spidey senses is at it's peak 😁

Love the 85mm or 90mm focal length on full-frame cameras for photojournalism, documentaries, half-length portraits, and head & shoulder portraits.
85mm f/1.4 on Nikon SLR
85mm f/1.8 on Nikon SLR
90mm f/2 on Leica M6 35mm rangefinder
90mm f/2.8 on Contax G1 35mm rangefinder
I also like to use the following equivalent lenses:
56mm f/1.2 on APS-C
45mm f/1.8 on micro 4/3
180mm f/4.5 on RB67 medium format SLR
Cool video. I have the Laowa 90mm F2.8 ultra Macro APO lens. Which works extremely well for all sorts of photography, not just extremely close up photography. The lens is crazy sharp. I recently purchased the TTartisans 90mm F1.25, it’s huge, it’s heavy and I love it. Wild, dreamy subject separation from surprisingly far distances. I use both lenses on my Sigma FPL full frame 60mp camera.
I have an old book on Leica photography that I bought when I was using that system in the film era. On lenses, there was an exercise that they used in the Leica School where the photographer had to make every photo for a period with only a 90mm lens. This forced the shooter to learn to extract the true subject from the clutter and make stronger images without superfluous elements.
A 90mm was always in my bag with my Leica M system and when I got into the Fujifilm brand, the 60mm f/2.4 macro was my second lens purchased because I wanted to replicate my way of working and that lens gives me everything that my 90mm Leica lens did in terms of selective framing and isolation. And I almost never use it in the macro range.

The Fujifilm 60mm f2.4 is nice optically, although there are many build quality issues with it. I’ve had two of them where the electronics ribbon to the aperture ring has failed, making changing aperture impossible. Just be cautious if buying used!

Best affordable lens for fuji, equivalent to 90 mm field of view.. the Fuji XF 60 mm macro.. Macro lenses always have awesome image quality output, sometimes traded for autofocus speed. I have the XF 30 and XF 80 mm macro, and they’re fast and super nice results… I don’t know about the af speed of the 60 mm macro, but it can’t be too terrible… fairly new lens, and not at all something Fuji has set out to compromise on
My favorite Fuji lens. Bought the 56 to replace it and ended up preferring the 60 after all. Wasn't even close. Imagine if Fuji re-released it with usable autofocus lol...

85 and/or 90mm focal length for full frame is a classic Lens, it is one of the most useful focal length in my opinion ! When you get to know it, then it is easy to use and get good images. I do NOT get all the "modern" fuzz/hype about 50mm !!!
