Gaudi died in 1924. From what I read about him he was quite eccentric but one hell of an architectural master in the 20th century. The man in this video I guess is supposed to be him but in a more modern time. Remember all, 1940’s until now is classified as modern.
I agree! This is a great song! The guest singer on this track is from a group Vitamin Z that has a couple of good new Wave songs, but you probably already know this!
“ *APP* fans” dislike this album the most. I absolutely adore it. I find it comical that my 2 year old child bops around to this song elated and smiling ear to ear. Yet, some people on the internet bash it because it’s not Sirius.
@@IndustrialSociety1995 I liked it way better when it freshly came out. It was in those days, at the very beginning of 1987, when, in a pretty short space of time, I came to know the, as it would turn out, complete APP catalogue. I was in an utter Project mania then. Memorable days...! 😉👍🏻

This song is just brilliant. I love the energy and built up. The lyrics are also great! Edit: this video version cuts the song short. You really need to listen to the album version which has a much longer outro.
When I was in school in the late 80s, I made it a point to scour the record exchanges and build a complete collection of APP vinyl. (Except Gaudi...I only ever found it on CD.) I just saw Alan parsons project in concert in Phoenix and they opened with this song. I loved it but I had never heard this song. It was more rocky at the concert but either way it’s a great song. Highly recommend seeing Alan parsons in concert.

Love this song!! One of my many favorites from APP, I had front row to a show in Sacramento in 2000. Amazing show, got to meet Alan and the band back stage, what a fun night, when this song first came out, it was on the radio a lot, I wasn't sure who it was at first, I thought it sounded like APP , then found out I was right. Love the keyboards on this
I was like 12 when I first I heard APP and immediately fell in love. Got all records. I didn't know english yet. It just had grabbed me. They are so special!
Alan Parsons Project Is a well known group in the United States. Alan Parsons was also a producer, the most notable and successful album he produced was Pink Floyd Dark Side of the Moon. I know the truth
But I can't say
And I have to turn my head
And look the other way
I'm not afraid
And I won't lie
As long as I see no wrong
I won't need to testify
I see the world
And I'm looking from a high place
Way above it all
Standing on higher ground
I breathe the air
While they're running in a rat
race
Way above it all
Standing on higher ground
I feel the blow
But I don't speak
And I have to close my eyes
Pretending I'm asleep
Well I see the tears
But I don't cry
As long as I do no wrong
I don't need an alibi
I see the world
And I'm looking from a high place
Way above it all
Standing on higher ground
I breathe the air
While they're running in a rat
race
Way above it all
Standing on higher ground
