  • On today's episode The Overland Truck Store crew and I watch two incredible builds face off on a steep and slippery rock crawling session at Tahuya ORV Park in Washington State. Huge thanks to Mark (Jeep owner @sparticus_the_jt on Instagram ) and Dain (Toyota Owner @busmup808 on instagram).
Sasquatch is a difficult climb when it's completely dry. watching these rigs scale this in the slipper rain and mud was fascinating!

Perfect use for a highlift jack in the beginning of the video.

💯 People be saying hilifts aren't useful anymore. That's a perfect example 👌

You stole my thunder but yeah it's probably one of the only situations where it is actually useful & worth having with you. I'm surprised not one of you had one with you.

I’m always more impressed with Toyotas that keep it all Toyota vs someone who dropped 50k on a Jeep and another 50k in axels and mods. Is it really even a Jeep anymore at that point?

Funny comment seeing as how jeeps come out the box %90 more capable off road than a Toyota and Toyota owners have to drop several thousands of dollars to make it no longer a Toyota only to compete with a Jeep.
I’ve owned 5 Toyotas. 2 4Runners a tundra a Tacoma and an FJ cruiser. My stock Jeep Wrangler diesel blows away any of those Toyotas out the box.

@@mikerobinson8734 I’m not against Jeep’s. I own a built JKU locked on 37s. I’m just saying those early Toyota’s are quite impressive. Take a 1985 Toyota 4 runner and a new JLUR and put 35s on both locked front and rear and the Toyota will do circles around the new big Jeep in the rocks.

@@Buckskindrifter they definitely don’t build them like they used to. They should have never done away with the solid front axle.

@@Buckskindrifter I would also like to point out that some of those Toyotas has solid axle swaps. The only thing better about IFS on rocks is the ground clearance. No diff to worry about. I wheel my LJ at Tahuya. While it’s not the the hardest places to go in Washington. The rocks will definitely trip you up.
