At almost 72 years old, I am the happiest of men because I was able to buy, a while ago, a ticket for the Hellfest in Clisson, 400km from Paris where I live. She 'feeds us' relentless arpeggiated melodies with very few interruptions. Yes, you mention her use of 'slide' which is unique in Metal, but apparently you do not grasp the depth-of-emotion it is being used to convey in connection with this song's subject & lyrics. A profoundly meaningful song from Asami/Mao, a companion to the earlier "The Apocalypse" from Miho/Mao from the only peoples on Earth to have a first-hand understanding of the catastrophe in reference, lessons-learned & hope for overcoming ultimate devastation. Please, take more time in listening & sharing your thoughts about the many prog transitions that convey a myriad of emotions in one 6min song. Cutting short Miyako-composed outro "The Everlasting" seems to 'amplify' your lack of grasp of the depth & meaning of their 'message' and way of leaving their audience with "together we are stronger than this nightmare" "a glimpse of hope that we can still believe in" & "Cause I know, together we will find a way to overcome" being atomic-bombed & all the actions worldwide that led to that calamity. I do not like bands playing a prerecorded track over the live music. They do this way too often. In this case it takes away from some really heavy riffage. I love this band, but I wish they would stop with the piped in backing track.
Then, people would bitch that the songs sound different from the studio versions. Personally, I appreciate that bands like LB care that they are producing a product that sounds as close to the original as possible while still playing live. I, for one, love them just as they are.
