- MFC Offroad does it again! Here you get to see the very simple process to install a Jeep Cherokee KL lift right at the convenience of your home garage or driveway. The best part is the lift coincides with the requirements from Jeep as to not void the warranty.
This is what I'm talking about! Glad I found MFC Offroad.
I just ordered lift kit for my "new to me" 2014 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk.
Ordered:
-RCV axles
-MFC+ 3" lift kit Core components
+ Fox Long Travel Suspension
+ OEM H/W
+ HD Rear Springs
-Rear Tire Centering Kit
Very excited to get it all installed. It's gonna look sick.
You can get a subframe lifting kit in a few months.

MFC Offroad I wonder is require to do a wheel alignment?
Whenever altering suspension it is highly recommended.
Would be nice to see a before and after photo. I’d really like to see the difference right there in my face. I’m gonna be getting a kit for mine soon :D
The kit has arrived, and it is gorgeous! A lost package delayed my delivery, but MFC quickly alerted me, apologized and sent out a new kit. The box contained packing peanuts so highly static charged they leaped from the box at me in my living room as I opened it. But inside were beautifully crafted aluminum spacers that I can hardly wait to install. I was disappointed to see that the logos aren’t incorporated into the black paint job, but I suppose some would rather not have them maybe? Either way, Thanks MFC!
Nothing At All to laser inscribe the logo, we have to run them more after anodizing. This would make the cost more, and we don’t want to make them priced higher.
Mine just came in today.. can't wait for warmer weather to install.

I would like to see a video of the MFC quick disconnect sway bar links being installed and if there’s a way you could demonstrate that it would help my KL Cherokee suspensions articulation. Thank you

What size tires can fit after lift?
up to a 32" tire
Before and after would be cool also if and what size bigger wheels can be run?
Mighta been nice to have some instructional sections...as someone who hasn't wrenched on much i was just kinda guessing as to what you were doing in fast forward most of the time...just a suggestion...i plan to eventually get this kit though.

What about the rear wheel centering ?
Why don't you show how you put the knuckle bolt back in after installing the front spacers? Seems like a crucial step.
The knuckle bolt goes back in the same way it came out. In our instructions available on the website and that ship with the lift it shows you on step number three how it goes back in as well
@@jesselambros8520 It looks like the guy in the install video is on his back with a drill, and I thought he was drilling a new hole for the knuckle bolt like all the other kits require. Is this not the case?
@@LarryRichelli No drilling of any holes is needed with the MFC Offroad lift kits. Any power tools used are simply using adapters for sockets.
@@jesselambros8520 I cannot get the knuckle bolt back through. There seems to be a piece running through the middle of the opening blocking the bolt from going back in. Any suggestions?
@@businesscasual9434 number three on the instructions covers this. It shows the meta flange bent out of the way for the bolt to pass through
I'm assuming you are introducing POSITIVE CAMBER into all for wheels with this kit... could wear tires on one side a bit more so I'd suggest rotating tires every oil change. I'm not sure if they make camber bolts for this jeep. I'm assuming again that camber bolts would go on the lower arm on the front and back but I doubt anyone makes these so rotating tires would be required.
An alignment after installation can correct camber, cast and toe bringing you back into spec

Max tire size with zero trimming is 30.5”. We commonly recommend 245/70R17

Hey guys, just purchased a kit and very excited for it to get here! I saw on the website there is a guide for correcting camber by spinning the top strut mount. Is this needed when installing everytime? I do not see it shown in this video.
Logan Marks camber correction is only needed for the 3” lift. You don’t need to do it for the 2” lift
I have a jeep cherokee longitude high (gasoline 2.4L) 2018 in South Korea, probably with AD1 installed. I don't know which cherokee version in USA corresponds to mine. I'm thinking of installing your kit. Would you let me know how I can purchase your lift kit?

Daniel Jones yes! We stay within factory alignment specs and no issues with uneven tire wear.
How about camber?
Definitely ordering a kit soon! I have a 2019 jeep Cherokee latitude plus, what’s the biggest size tire I can fit on my Jeep after the lift kit without having to shave plastic, etc. ?

I noticed that the rear sway bars (09:10) were left disconnected. Does this mean the sway bars can no longer be connected after the lift?

It does not. It works within the travel designed from the factory.

Its a great product that does NOT affect any ride characteristics. Jeep themselves buy directly for me with their in house Jeep sales.
MFC Offroad does the 3 inch lift void the warrant on the trailhawk ??
I'm searching high and far for some camber plates adjustments for my KL AD1. Would the AD1/ KL platform need entirely different cambers to fit a 3.5" lift or would replacing the LCA on the front & rear suspension fix the issue of centralizing the tires? My intentions are to try and fit your spacer lift kit + dobinson coil/spring kit + and camber plates onto my Jeep with some BFGs to net 4-5" above factory specs
paulnmarshall an AD1 can only be lifted safely with 2”. Anything more and you have to change all four axles, front lower control arms and rear trailing arms. Camber can be corrected with our technique found on the lift kit documents found on our suspension page @ www.mfcoffroad.com

i have a 2017 jeep cherokee trail hawk kl. so if i got this right, from the factory it does not come with a lift kit? what makes a trailhawk, a trailhawk?
The Trailhawk is lifted by 1" over the non Trailhawk models. This is in part by the suspension and larger tires. With this kit, it adds an additional 2" to your current Jeep Cherokee, whether it be a Trailhawk or non Trailhawk.
On the Trailhawk, are you adding 2 inches (TH is already 1 inch over other models) putting it at 3 inches higher than base models or does your kit only add another 1 inch making it a total of 2?
It adds 2" to the already taller 1". So yes, it will sit 3" taller than all other models.

@@LarryRichelli that’s because they have the only 2” lift. Everyone else’s is a leveling kit...lifting the front 2” and the rear .75”-1.5”. Also, the 2” lift is the basis of the 2.5” lift and 3” lift. No one else has this level of options.
@@jesselambros8520 Thanks for all your help. Two more questions. Most other kits require you to drill a new hole for the steering knuckle (not sure that's what it's called). Next is, if we install your 2" kit, at a later time can we install the springs for the 3" lift kit. Thanks again.
@@LarryRichelli Absolutely. All of our kits are built upon the 2" base. We even have a 2.5" kit that adds to the 2".

Hi Jesse I was wondering with your 2” trail hawk lift, what size tires can I run on my trail hawk?
You can run up to a 30.5” tire without trimming anything. If you don’t mind trimming g you can run a max tire size of 32”

I really want to put 32's on a 2020 (once I purchase the vehicle) Trailhawk Elite. However for my purposes MPG is a consideration. What sort of MPG are folks getting with the V6 on 32's?

Absolutely. It will lift you Cherokee 2" on all four corners.
Would this effect wheel alignment after install?
It does not, as you can retain factory specs for wheel alignment if you get it done professionally at an alignment shop
how durable is the lift? could it survive long road trips?

I noticed at 7:50 you were also removing another bolt that attaches that skinny rod. (don't know what it is called) so you could lower the control arm. I see in the video you don't show you re-attaching it, nor is it anywhere in the instructions. And at 3:44, what is that bolt you are removing with the hex screw? Why does that need to be removed. That isn't in the directions either. Thanks

Mark Newman thatvisbthe bolt and nut for the sway bar end link. It’s a 15 mm open ended wrench along with a 3/16 hex key

AlphaDog223 yes our kit fits on every 2019 Cherokee. Installation is generally 3-4 hours. For installation costs if you want us to do it it’s $295 for the kit and $55 if you need a rear wheel centering kit.

All lift heights have been tested. Anything more than 3" is known to destroy ball joints, CV boots and CV's.
Go buy the ATP 4" lift and try it out, except it doesn't lift it 4"

Soo much yapping at the front of the video. it took 3 minutes before we got to the action and then no talking when we needed it. Just high-speed footage through the install.
