We must always remember that a person is assumed innocent until proven by a court to be guilty. Guilt may carry a factor of insanity. Otherwise, when and if he is found guilty, he should be delivered a swift death sentence.

He does not know what is or is not a valid reason to object in court.
When he says "I Object" he just means that he doesn't like what he is hearing.

Exactly. And at best he wants to argue that something isn’t true, or is a mischaracterization, and then is exasperated that he’s not given a chance to “explain” something or “give the proper information.” He’s been told time and time again how the process goes, what’s a valid objection, he’s been given books and documentation… and then he still believes what’s happening to him is unfair, that nobody is cutting him a break. What a fool.

To dismiss a trial with prejudice (i.e. can't be re-tried) requires a colossal amount of willful misconduct on behalf of the court and/or prosecutor. She does not need to be commended because she is just doing her job and doing it about as well as a good judge possibly can. She is a professional and she verbally spars with him in court, but he is not smart enough to rattle her, and at the end of the day, she knows she is going home to a great life. The moment she took off that robe at the end of the day, she probably didn't give Darrell Brooks a passing thought until the moment she put that robe back on the next day in court. A woman this brilliant just proves that our country produces the best and the brightest in all walks of life; unfortunately, Darrell Brooks proves that we also turn out the worst of the worst!

    • @Sophina_

He is representing himself. He’s been removed to a separate courtroom so he can’t verbally disrupt the proceedings (the judge can mute him and unmute him) but in order to avoid an appeal possibly being successful for denial of due process, she is doing all she can to enable him to mount his own defense and participate in the process. If he had an attorney representing him, removing him from the process entirely would be much simpler.

I really don’t understand why the judge allows this joker to appear pro se (or pro per as he insists). Assign him a defense team. Plant him in another room to observe. Let the lawyers defend him without interruptions. I’d think having the jury see him on the monitor constantly holding up an OBJECTION sign is going to lead to an appeal he doesn’t deserve.
