This is the best video out there, professionally Done, what I love the best is is the clarity on each step, you can actually see, What you are doing, other video's don't even give spark gap and torque spec's...well done
I have issues that point towards a possible spark plug replacement. Start sounds aggressive more often than not. 1st to 2nd is a minor jolt-like transition. But always consistent. Lastly in the mornings and when not drove often the vehicle sounds like the radiator is straining. But once it’s “warmed up or drove consistent I don’t have that issue. My question is… is this because of my spark plugs, something else, or a combination of multiple…. Trying to figure the issue ti save myself time at a shop.
You should never gap an Iridium or platinum plug. The Iridium or platinum is plated thin, because its expensive. If the plugs are genuine/legit, they should be pre gapped before plated and not tampered with or you could very likely chip the layer off and it's now a standard plug and the life expectantly is dramatically lower. I'm not downtalking the tech. Guys good and certainly appreciate the videos. Times are hard and even experienced mechanics are not experienced on everything. This was a huge issue when platinum plugs 1st came out. There's always things we can learn. The wrong kind of pride brings on ignorance and I'm certainly a man who's learned the hard way. I thank God for other experience. Let's do it better next time. There's likely hundreds of thousands of mechanics who do certain jobs much better than the dealer. You can take a car with a complicated issue to a standard garage and they'll find things a dealer couldn't. The dealer often thinks inside the box a lot. He does the same things a lot. Aftermarket techs(if it's okay for me to use that term) are sometimes excellent and stopping and outlining every connecting circuit or line like and with a map and finding the little minor defect/Trojan or terror that's making your vehicle sick. I'm a truck driver. My company mechanics work on exponentially more semi tractors than any dealer in our area. If your truck isn't under warranty, you'd most likely get much better service paying them to do it. Some of these regular techs are genius and don't want to be limited b6 going to a dealership to work and believe me when I tell you, they are wanted. Thanks folks

Your videos have helped my a lot along the way in this line of work. I’m the only tech here so I’m learning on my own half the time

Yes my check engine light keeps blinking and they are saying that it might be the spark plugs but not sure

Why would you need to take the air box out when it just disconnects at the intake? Feel like I'm missing something lol
I feel it was unnecessary lol
Thanks for a great instructional video..well done

I remember spark plugs being much easier to change.
Do engineers just hate people that work on their vehicles?
Are all 6 spark plugs on the top? I’m assuming yea since you only showed one as an example but just want to confirm
I saw under required tools I need a 10mm, I'm just going to have to have a mechanic do it 😂
Great video. Thanks.
Do i disconnect the battery for this job?
Thank you
