A 1972 E9 3.0CS was my second ever car back in 1988. It was manual gearbox but carburettor car. One previous owner from new with 80k miles on the clock that I bought for the princely sum of £1350. I kept it for 13 years until 2001. In the end though I had to let it go as I couldn’t afford to keep up with the constant bills to have serious structural rust sorted out. Constant rain plus salt on the roads here in the UK!
Greetings from New Orleans, Louisiana. Guys, I absolutely love your format. The main reason being is the way you guys present things. It's very classic, laid back and straight to the point. A lot of others mix way to much overbearing side talk, music is obnoxious and lose the point, which is to make the car the star of the show. The quality is top notch and for being new, its is incredibly refreshing. I like the more cozy feel to the videos. It feels like I am talking to a genuine couple who I would meet in real life and enjoy talking about the car. Overall Congrats on your 10th episode and I hope you guys continue making the content! I am a proud owner of a Datsun 280z so I was ecstatic when I saw the 240z episode. You guys have amazing taste! Cheers and God Bless!
Thanks a lot for your comments! We greatly appreciate the feedback and our intent in how we approach making these is very much what you describe so I'm glad that you're enjoying it! We also have a 1978 280Z in the collection which is a very original low mileage car that we actually bought before the 240Z. I love driving both cars and it was a hard choice on which one we should focus on for the video as they drive similarly.
@@ahaugland1 Absolutely well done. You guys definitely hit your mark. I appreciate how engaged you are with your audience as well. Goes to show that you are as genuine as you seem. Keep up the amazing work and it would be awesome to see some pictures of the 78 280z haha. Either way thanks for providing the great content. Cheers!
Keep doing these very high quality and informative videos. You’ve really just gotten started. I can’t believe that there are not even one thousand subscribers. I love the fact that you have no advertising… but would UA-cam give the channel more exposure if you had say one ad at the beginning or the end? I have lusted after this vintage BMW 3.0 CS since they were new. Thanks for sharing yours!
❤❤ great episode! Years ago, a salesman that called on our Fixed Base Operation (FBO) had a BMW Bavaria. Beautiful with just the right amount of pizzaz without going over the top. I tried to convince him that it was special and would be a significant car years on. Sadly, he didn't think so. Nice choice for the collection. Personally, it would be nice to have an episode for every car under your roof. (They deserve it.) And what a way to document the collection! Looking forward to many more episodes.
I look forward to each car you share with us. Your presentation is not only national but world class. On my Maricle scale I give you 9’s and 10’s for each category. Please keep the these entertaining videos rolling along. Smooth and delightful!
Love the show you should definitely keep on doing it. As far as the car goes I agree with just about everything you said Alex. It’s one of the most beautiful BMW’s of all time. I’ve owned new BMW’s since 1983 but became aware of the brand when a college roommate bought a 1973 2002 as his first new car. I’ve had 9 new BMW’s since 2011 and everything you said in the drivability category holds true for my current BMW a 2022 M 240i. It is very much like the 3.0 CS in that it’s a personal, luxury sports coupe that does everything well and is sporty and special and yet the perfect everyday driver. It is hands down the best all around car I’ve ever owned. I can see why you would say the same thing about your 3.0 CS. Gorgeous color combination by the way. I too love red interiors. Enjoy it.
You have excellent taste in cars! It's no wonder that this 3.0 CS has taken the number one spot in our showcases so far. The big question is, what will dethrone it? Guess we'll all have to find out!
Damn, at first glance, two guys sitting on folding chairs, I didn't expect anything interesting from you, sorry for my prejudices, but I really think it's a charming, entertaining video, both deep and professional. A good artistic work, editing, music, images, historical documentation, and beautiful landscapes, what more can you ask for? Well done and good luck.
Seriously enjoy your videos. Honestly. I think you guys are doing some of the best reviews online. Simple. Good. Great information of the car. And your honest opinion of the car. Lovely.
Disarming and delightful presentation from you both, and a realistic and diverse collection of cars. I'm really enjoying your series here in Adelaide, South Australia
I enjoy watching. I enjoy the difference you are presenting. As long as you are enjoying making these films I'll keep watching. Can't wait to see the Triumph Stag episode
Please keep going guys .The production quality as well as the vehicles presented are first class, and you 2 are the cherries on top! Love you're respective obsevervations and general comments! The BMW in this epsisode would have to be one of my all time favourites...such an elegant looking car! I've never driven one, but I can see all the ingredients are there for a fantatastic driving ecxperience. Congrats to you bot on such a great channel!
Firstly, Everyday to Exotic is super! More please! Secondly, this is a really neat one. I want to ride in this one so much. Thanks to previous episodes I now know how rare it can be to have a full factory tool kit so your delight in showing that off was understandable.
Thank you so much! Means the world to have you watch the video through the score. We're doing a new showcase every three weeks, so there's more where that came from!
@Everyday2Exotic I started watching it, but compared to the others that you have shared from your collection, it doesn't...how can I put it, it just looks ugly to me...
@@julioreyna3851 I blame the front license plate the DMV made us put on. 😉 The Evora is definitely not for everyone, and that's OK! I'm glad you're enjoying the other episodes. Thanks again for watching!
Beautiful car! Rare to find one restored to that condition. Set nicely with the euro bumpers and Alpina wheels. 3.3 with carb upgrade would have been a modification done at that time. I am more partial to the later 6 series but this car has a balance of looking purposeful and sporty yet almost delicate beauty. Please include a driving example for each car.
True! It's not aftermarket, but it wouldn't have come with the 3.0 CS from the factory. That's what Amy was talking about! You have a great eye for detail :)
i am unable to tell from here if that is an original petri for CSL or an optional Petri; to be CSL there are a couple of conditions: Long hub with 4 rings, leather covered, and 38cm in diameter; there were petris in 38 and 40cm, also some in solid rubber, and short hub 3 rings; in any case i agree is much more expensive than the original bus wheel.

As the owner of a 71 2800csa, I truly enjoyed this. Your CS is as beautiful as I've ever seen. Look forward to watching the rest of your content
We are glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching!

That truck lid tool kit is very satisfying.

Give us long enough, and we will cover every car! It may take a while though. Glad you enjoyed!
14:21 the steering wheel is actually period correct, a very interesting and sought after Petri, including a great original Petri horn button
Absolutely! It's one of the best parts of the car
I really enjoy your channel.
Thanks for all the work you put into it.

Amazing video :)
Thanks! 😀
Keep doing it!
Another great vid. But when Alex drives, Amy gets to knit. We need suggestions for Alex to do when Amy is driving… how about play the harmonica? 😊
As the team who has to record and edit these videos, we veto harmonica. Hmmm, what would Alex enjoy doing?
Knit as well! He could make his own "Dr. Who" scarf...
Of course, please keep doing them.
I've watched them all ( except the Evora one.. )
Oh the Evora episode is great - it was Amy's daily driver for years so her perspective on it is worth a watch (in our totally biased opinion)
@Everyday2Exotic I started watching it, but compared to the others that you have shared from your collection, it doesn't...how can I put it, it just looks ugly to me...

Would like more please
Not an aftermarket steering wheel. That’s an original CSL wheel. They’re very expensive.

Sadly soon All Gas cars will be forbidden
We sure hope not!
