"We are Motorhead. And we play rock and roll." The statement has as few words as can be used to convey the message. Totally undiluted. Followed by a concert that is every bit as pure and undiluted as the statement. I love all kinds of music but Motorhead has a sound I had been looking for from the first time, at about 10 years old, I heard aggressive rock and roll and was swept away. Thank you, Lemmy, Phil, Mickey, and all those who came before Phil and Mickey. What a phenomenon!
A Hill- So, after 2 years, are you still a Motorheadbanger? Are you enjoying the discovery of each album?... whatever order you are discovering them in? I’m 49, been a fan for a good 25 years, and there’s still a handful of albums I don’t have. I’d say the one I’m coveting the most is Another Perfect Day, the only one with Brian Robertson on guitar. Oh, and then there’s Orgasmatron. And, incredibly, I’ve never heard No Sleep Til Hammersmith, unbelievable for such a long time super fan! On another note, I could listen to/watch interviews of Lemmy all day... no pretension, no “rockstar” answers to questions. Nice....better late than never. I'm 52, and I bought my first Motorhead album in 82 or 83.....it was Ace Of Spades. I've been a huge fan since. There's a couple of cool ep's they did in collaboration with The Damned (Motordamned), Wendy O' Williams of the Plasmatics, and of course the one they did with Girlschool (Headgirl). I'm sure they're posted on here somewhere, and definitely worth a listen. They released a ton of albums, and not a bad one in the bunch. Lemmy was one of rock's great songwriters, having penned a couple of songs for Ozzy (Close My Eyes Forever and Mama I'm Coming Home) and others as well, although I can't think of who at the moment......maybe Alice Cooper? I could be thinking of Alice cause the first time I saw Motorhead was in 88, opening for Alice. Last time I saw them was 9 or 10 years ago, at a festival known as Heavy Montreal, and once again, they delivered the goods, as always. I have bee lucky enough over the years to see Motorhead with all the major players. To me these 3 seem to bring it the best. I liked the Wurzel, Campbell era with Philthy and then Mickey. Don't get me wrong Eddie was great but the energy is so much better with the current line up. Motorhead forever! So sad it's over.
Ha, how many bands kept at it playing endlessly and regularly putting out albums... and wound up with three killer albums at the end of their career that rate with the best they did? And Jeezus, they really catch fire about half an hour in on this show. A zillion thanks from shelter in place SF to Swedish Rock N'Roller for posting...
No band is as loud as Motörhead. And no band will be as loud as them. When Motörhead comes on stage, they're as loud as it gets. And that's when it's loud enough
Mikey Dee and Phil Campbell... the Motorhead line up as good but just different to Philthy and Fast Eddie. What a power trio these boys were! Chef's kiss.
.I wish there was more back stage footage before going on...I'm laughing Phil and Lemmy both have a smoke goin and, it's kind of like everyone in on a rehearsal with Phil goovin' around the stage and just as good stage presents as Philthy and Eddie.and that, is remarkable
I saw Motorhead 27 times between 1998-2014. They NEVER played a bad show. As the singer/bassist of Krisiun said this year, "The greatest frontman of all time." Great also to see songs they didn't play that much live in their history like "be my baby", "killers", and "I got mine". *RIP Lemmy, you'll be missed.*
@@stevebond7387Wow, that's a really good question. I'd say the "We are Motorhead" tour in 2000. I met Lemmy at the show (he was at the bar sucking down some gin), and he gave me the best piece of advice I've ever received from someone about playing music. I'd also say the "Inferno" tour of 2004/2005 was equally as good (and probably a better album than 'WAM'; also when they did "Whorehouse Blues" live it was essentially Motorhead unplugged, they were all doing acoustic instruments like in the song). In third place I'd put "The World is Yours" tour in 2012; it is such an interesting album for a band late in their career to not only reinvent themselves but return to some of their stuff/style they had in the first four albums.
@@stevebond7387 I feel so sorry for kids these days that they can't witness a band like Motorhead. There's not gonna be another Motorhead. Rock on man!

one of the best live bands ever !!!! sad, that i never saw them RIP Lemmy
I was there, I have to admit I was not a fan before that but that day changed that. Awesome concert, awesome sound. Biggest wall of sound I ever saw. Marshall FTW !
Только 3 человека кажется?
"We're Motorhead , and we're gonna kick your ass !" (everything louder than everything else)
When I seen them (5x) they always said: "kick your ass" but all the vids I see/hear he says: Play Rock&Rock....odd.
Man... Lemmy, Wizzo and Mikkey are a machine. Love the inclusion of I Got Mine and the classy respect with Rosalie. Holy shit...What a great performance. Thank you for posting this:)
fuck yeah kick ass concert from motorhead, live france july 17th 2008. what a good setlist too. we are motorhead and we came for rock and roll. \m/ lemmy, mickey dee, and phil campbell kick ass here.
Lemmy NEVER gets old and I NEVER get tired of listening to this... it's F'n timeless. Rock Fn Roll... it will save your soul...
I feel bad for all the people who won't ever get the chance to see Lemmy/Motorhead live. I feel blessed not to be among them. We lost a a true Rock n Roll soldier.
Motörhead is my favorite band of all time I'm only 22 I never got to see them live nor will I ever it's a pain that will hurt till the day I die all I have are these awesome gigs on UA-cam to enjoy :')
Lucky u are indeed.
Yeah, I always think: at least one thing done right in my miserable life.
Never had the opportunity. When I decided to buy a ticket for a concert in Paris, he died 2 months before... Cursed
A Rock n Roll General Sir!
@@lionelpatoureau5150 same thing happened to me with dio. I had bought a ticket to see maiden and heaven and hell in dublin. I had seen maiden a few times but was really looking forward to seeing dio but unfortunately he died before the concert.
I stood right in front of lemmy so close at the lamores in Brooklyn.. 1986. I could feel the heat coming off his body
What a treat for the crowd RIP lemmy Godfather of rock& roll 💪👏
2022, Motorhead!☠️ THANKS Lemmy, R.I.P.🤘
So cool that they played I Got Mine one of my favorite Motorhead songs for sure!
Me too
Another perfect concert, rip Lemmy the boss
We miss you, man! The world is a colder place to live after your passing!
Takes me back to high school days in 87, had a buddy who lived in a one room apartment and we would slam dance going back and forth in about 5 feet of space, listening to Motörhead.
THE ONLY ROCK BAND IN HISTORY TO NEVER HAVE SOLD OUT AND I DON'T MEAN TICKETS THEY STAYED TRUE TO THEIR SOUND AND THEIR FANS AND ROCK AND ROLL THEIR ENTIRE EXISTENCE UNLIKE EVERYONE ELSE. REST IN PEACE MOTORHEAD THERE WILL NEVER BE ANOTHER ROCK BAND LIKE YOU
Umm..the Sex Pistols
@@mcraft2240 rock band sex pistols are good I am not sure they were a rock band but were only a band for less than a decade not enough staying power i mean the world changed radically during motorheads run but they never did
Love watching Mikkey play, the dude gives it everything.
I had the chance to see them live many times, meet them and work for them, too. I will cherish those memories forever!
You know I've seen these guy's a few times! I was in Germany from 73-03 and they used to have a concert series called Monsters of Rock and Motorhead was on the bill a few times, and when I think about it them and BOC are the only bands I seen at more than one. Leastwise that I remember.
My deepest thank you for this great show. R.I.P Motorhead. 🤘🤘🤘🍺🍺🍺✊
I saw Motorhead as a punk teen and had no idea who they were. They were so damn LOUD I had a splitting headache. Dumb ass me had no idea what greatness I was watching!
RIP Lemmy!!! The metal fans miss you!
I’d like to be there! I’m from Brazil! Unfortunately, I never saw them live! I discovered Motörhead at The end of 2015, I had hope to see them, but in 28th December Lemmy died and when I knew it, I cried a lot! Rest in power, dear Lemmy!
As a 14 year old my first ever concert was Motorhead back in 1977 with Saxon as support. I came away thinking it was bloody loud!
Lemme and Biff in one night - ya lucky ..........
a well placed break from god damn reality, thank you .... Motorhead was my last live show and i intend to keep it that way ... cheers

Wait.what? Motorhead need to introduced who they are?
He's in his 60s on stage here. King of rock n roll, fuckin right ! !
So glad I got to see them live...
Never was straight Rock 'n Roll 0layed with such ferocity and intensity.
And it, most likely, never will be again.
RIP Lemmy Kilmister, Eddie Clarke, Philthy Taylor and Würzel...
IT GOES WITHOUT SAYING THAT MR. DEE IS ONE OF THE BEST DRUMMERS IN THE WORLD !!! 💥💥💥

@@oliviernicolaud221 J'ai la chance d'avoir pu voir AC/DC , période Bon Scott , c'était pas mal non plus., mais c'est clair que Motorhead est énorme.
The opening shot of Phil with a cig in his mouth perfectly sums up this bands energy
So sad it's over.
so glad i got to see motorhead play bk in 07 in me hometown (birmingham uk) ace gig, one of the best iv seen in my time. lemmy will forever be god.
Got to see em 3 times!
R.I.P. Lemmy!
Lucky. 🍀 I’ll never get to see them and it hurts sometimes but I must be happy to have recordings
Keep rocking Motorhead man! Lemmy would want us to keep thrashing!✌️👍🇺🇲☠️💀⚔️ OKC
Been playing their jams since the 80s! 🤟🏻💥
It's never loud enough.... Motorhead forever, forever Motorhead...
No band is as loud as Motörhead. And no band will be as loud as them. When Motörhead comes on stage, they're as loud as it gets. And that's when it's loud enough
Saw these guys at Sweden Rock Festival 2005, and it was AWESOME!!!! \m/
33:11 Thin lizzy - Rosalie (cover) 😍
Que grandes fueron. Han dejado un recuerdo eterno...
Damnnn that Mikkey Dee drummer guy is pretty fucking awesome
Sabargui
And he played with fucking King Diamond too
His is the only drum solo I don't skip past; he's amazing.
Bought the Bomber album at release in the seventies, saw them live several times and still a fan now.
I had my headphones in the middle, and they were still,I turned it up omg, their loud as hell😃😃😃😃
just watch all this concert...lemmy is never too much, thanks...forever
Mikey Dee and Phil Campbell... the Motorhead line up as good but just different to Philthy and Fast Eddie. What a power trio these boys were! Chef's kiss.
.I wish there was more back stage footage before going on...I'm laughing Phil and Lemmy both have a smoke goin and, it's kind of like everyone in on a rehearsal with Phil goovin' around the stage and just as good stage presents as Philthy and Eddie.and that, is remarkable
La mejor banda de rock & roll de la historia.Los 3 son una bomba de talento, como pocos...
27 times! That’s awesome 🤘🏼 Out of those 27 shows, which show was your favorite?
@@strongbad666 very cool! Thanks for the detailed answer, keep rocking my friend, Motörhead forever👊🏻♠️♠️♠️
@@stevebond7387 I feel so sorry for kids these days that they can't witness a band like Motorhead. There's not gonna be another Motorhead. Rock on man!
I first saw Motorhead in Melbourne in 1981. At that time they had just been touted as the loudest band in the world. I saw them at an old St Kilda place called The Venue. Around that time i had a leather bound copy of No Remorse. I clearly remember my ears ringing for three days. Still a fan and man what a band driven by a rock ‘n’ roll genius. Thanks to Lemmy and all of his gringos. Shout out to all fans old and new!!!👹
the venue...good memories 👌
Love Letters from Paris It was a great place to see bands
Who else can be so simple and successful at the same time??? Unbelievable!!!
"We are Motorhead! And we play rock 'n' roll!!!"... And everyone is focusing on him...
Glad to see them live twice.. Not in festivals. At a headline show in front of their fans only they are amazing!!!!
DO NOT Forget drummer @ guitarmann🤘✌️😁
I loved them live - got to see 'em many many times and they were always brilliant live!
Супер класс lemmy зажигает вечная память рокеру от бога
Mikky D the Maniac!!! That drum solo was like the mating call for cougars heard around the world!
Yeah that was fuckin killer 😎🤟🏻
WE LOVE YOU ,FATHER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Lo dijo Lemmy somo unas banda mas de 3 acordes, pero no cuaquier banda, sino la maldita mejor banda del mundo de 3 acorde ... un grande entre grandes!!!
I saw Motorhead several times in 1981 and it doesn't matter whether the line up includes Eddie and Animal or Phil and Mikkee, Motorhead are Motorhead and they play rock and roll.
It’s a lesser world where you can’t go and get a fix of Motörhead. But thanks for this great video, it’s the later version of the band at its peak
Que de bons souvenir de ce concert :) vraiment énorme ce jour là 🤘🤘
Oh que oui !!!
Hell yeah self isolated n thank you MOTORHEAD. planet gone to shit but ALWAYS time for balls out rock n roll.
Miss you Lemmy
