I've been playing FO4 at about 15 fps for a few days now and I've almost gotten used to it. The bullet time mod has saved my life a lot during frame loss moments, and sometimes when I get frame spikes to even 20fps or so I can almost take in the glory of modded FO4. I need to upgrade my PC so bad
you deserve a thumbs up and a cookie of the best variety for knowing how to use save games to make accurate,pixel perfect comparisons of before and after. it makes it infinitely easier to compare, and it drives me insane when people dont do that lol
Ironic facts 1 and 2 for Fallout 4: Through most of the 90s, the computer on board the space shuttle orbiter was no more powerful than an Apple II computer; done for stability. (Because who wants to deal with a BSoD during a space flight, right). In fact outside of the computational supercomputers used primarily for weather forecasting, NASA is full of old relics in the computer department. Fact #2: The computers in Fallout are essentially running on equivalent tech created in our universe in the 1950s and 1960s; yes, a pixie tube in the fallout universe can run a pip-boy. =D

for current cards heres how it would be at 1080p: 1050: 10 fps 1050ti: 15 fps 1060: 30fps 1650: 30fps 1660: 32 fps 1660 ti: 35 fps 1070 and 1070ti: 37 fps (ish) 1080: (should be around 55 fps) 1080 ti: close to 60 fps. BTW if you want to get a new gpu, dont get any of these besides, maybe the 1660ti, heres what you should get. 2060: 40 fps 2070: 60-70 fps 2080: 80 fps 2080ti: 90-100 fps rtx titan: why are you looking at fps if you get this $2500 gpu. BTW this is based on how these run on most benchmarks.
Heads up, search Spiffy Skytroopers Natural Landscapes. Same guy that does Realistic Roads and that Rustic Belt Flora overhaul. Much more realistic and less noisy then Vivid textures.

Fallout 4 specs already restrict the NASA computer range... and then you will run out of memory on others... and finally why would we include irrelevant data on the equation. Interesting facts but it just makes you appear with low intelligence or with sleep depravation.
you know the one thing i miss in fallout ? the sentient deathclaws that you could speak in FO2, like, they apeared in one game and that's it, nobody remember them anymore.
I use a lightswitch to run all my games, works great, I got 212 FPS on average with the 4k pack, unfortunatley though Thomas the tank engine brought it down to about 2 fps, I cant say this worked well.
The first few mods make the game look less like a nuclear wasteland and more like an abandoned normal town. And actually quite pretty. I kinda like it, but it doesn't really go with the idea of a nuclear wasteland like fallout.
Honestly, with all of that radiation, them trees would look that red all the time, year round, seeing as all cell growth pretty much ceases to exist in the trees after immense irradiation. I could be wrong about this though. The only thing I could think of that could attest to this is the red forest outside of Pripyat.
If you think Rust Belt kills your frames, try Boston Natural Surroundings. There's like 4 different versions of it and it comes with LODs so trees don't just pop in.

It might not be as bad as MXR says, and if it is, pick a lower quality version, that's how I passed through ESO's mod list's reccomended requirements. Sure, I still have drops sometimes, especially near candles ('cause of the effect they produce), but imo it was still worth it.
Two GTX1080Ti manually OC'ed and watercooled here. Boy it looks so awesome with constant 80fps at 1440p, especially when you add some AAF action to it :)
