I should've gotten SSI for my asthma then. I didn't know you could get it for common conditions like that, which usually can be managed with healthy lifestyle changes.
Yes you can get it for asthma. My baby brother had asthma bad when he was a child. He’s 29 now. My mom was getting a check for him until he was 18. He is still eligible for it but he chooses to work for a bigger income.
@@ladeiiluck I wonder why no one told me this when I used to have asthma attacks in MD. We moved where it isn't triggered as much, I created an herbal concoction for disorders of the bronchial tubes, lungs, & upper respiratory cavity, & it even helps to have a better HVAC system & humidifiers...I rarely ever need inhalers or breathing treatments now b/c it's manageable from lifestyle & environmental changes, but while I was in undergrad it would've been nice to get a check. Good to know going forward though.

They do give people SSI for having chronic debilitating asthma that keeps them from working . Meaning they have full on asthma attacks so frequently that if they had a job they’d be fired for missing so much work. It is supposed to be a long process to get SSI for this with a LOT of exams, medical records from asthma specialists and records showing that they’ve frequented the Emergency Room and/or Urgent/Critical Care Clinics because of severe/sudden/substantial asthma attacks. My mother has asthma this bad and has had it like this since birth. She receives SSI due to this condition. Her asthma is not able to be controlled well. She has to use a combo of maintenance inhalers, nebulizer breathing treatments and rescue inhalers. With all this being said, it doesn’t look like Ms. Ghetto Fab is suffering from asthma that bad. A true asthmatic will not be able to smoke weed like that or anything else. Just FYI because I saw several people asking about this.

Your right it is a process and I was denied originally however when I went to the specialist that's what did it for me I have a heart condition it took years before my Dr.. said I could go back to work p/t
Uh she was lying, for many asthmatics do work and take medications for it. And they do not have asthma attacks that often. And she would be on SSDI, if she was disabled and could not work. SSI does not pay much to stay home.

Imma say this. I had asthma for as LONG as I can remember. And when I started smoking weed….I stopped having asthma attacks. It’s been a gooood 10 years since I had an asthma attack. It’s strange asfff to me but that’s when I can definitively say that’s when my attacks stopped.
