@@familievoorheesBlack hardly used presets sadly, so it's really hard to find which ones he exactly used. He used them as a base to modulate his very own ones. The second one in this vid was an example, he used to build the lead used in "The Gate", featuring Coop, from last year's album
And btw Shane, love to see u here. I watched your review on Off Safety when I was a lil kid & was so happy someone understood my obsession on that album hahaha. You a real one.
Not sure how good the X2 or X5 are but have several X3 racks that I use often. Great synth to program and by that I mean you can create awsome sounds that fullfill any need. One of the best, the best, bank of sounds came from EnVision called 'Accoustic Instruments'. This sound card is absolutely amazing and worth every dollar it takes to acquire it. The X3 sounds clean and you can back down the faders all the way down the signal path to get pristine quality.
I bought an X3 when it was released in 93 or so. The X3 is kind of shitty overall, but the pads... omg, those pads sound fantastic! I don't really understand, but they are so lush. I remember specifically one sound that i downloaded that had one oscillator detuned a fifth and it was incredible, very housey. I need to get it out from storage and play a bit.
I have got a Korg Z1 which is a killer synth... but some of my X3 pads are just beautiful and lush. The rest of sounds are a bit rubbish, specially basses... but pads are outstanding!
That's why I got a X5D/R : Korg's old X series are fantastic sounding synths !
Great ambient sounds! The Korg X3 rules! It's the first synth I bought in 90s and I made many songs with it!
This sounds amazing. I am a Korg Z1 fan. But these sounds are super!
All used by Blackout during his earlier production years in Memphis
Which presets and do you know a website for sounds

Surprisingly good, useable pads in this synth. Think I could get a X3r if I find one someday.
Nicely done. Would you mind sharing the patches in the video?
