In this video we show you how to use your stock cables on a 2021 Road Glide with the new clutch cable style. It has worked on all of our installs with no issues on every model Road Glide for this year. We also used the stock wires. For heated grips you will need a wire extension we sell on our site. - Авто та транспорт
Thanks for the video. The stealership tried to tell me that the job takes 6 hrs. and I needed new clutch and break cables for my 2022 rgs. I laughed and hung up.
I did mine in less than 2 hours with the same bars using stock wires, cables, brake line.
My dealer told me that to even go 1” higher than stock, they’d need to order new cables. I’m only going to 12”, so it’s here where I say, “Thanks for posting this video!” 😀
You should not need to order any new cables. You are good to use stock cables with 12 and 14 with no issues. Just cut loose the zip ties as stated.
@@marksaavedra6971 thank you brother, ordered mine and was wondering what would be needed
No, thank you for choosing Factory47! We are here for you any day any time! Happy Holidays from all of us here at Factory47
Finally found a video that gave me the info I wanted to here, I have the 2022 RG and almost purchased the Fat Bagger cable extensions. thanks.
Thanks for the video., you answered my question about installing 14s
Great video! Exactly what I needed to see
Glad to hear.
Great Video!!! Just the. Room I need to get Legacy 14s 👍
Thank You for sharing this.....i had a question.....do all years have same stock length in cable's? I have a 2016 Road Glide and want to try my own install but the Dealer is scaring me saying i can't use stock😢 thank you for your help
I wish you’d shown a better view of how you ran the clutch cable around the instrument cluster and if you must play music, play it in the background so it doesn’t drown out what you’re saying.
Thanks for the video 👍 where can I buy the tank and fender covers ?
Great video! Would this be the same for a 2021 Road King? I want to go 12" risers and a "Sportster" type bars, but I do not want to mess up with the lines. Thanks
Good video! Where can I get the tank and fender cover? Thanks
How did you re route the clutch cable in order to get it to fit on the 14” bars?
Does the same principle apply to a 2021 Road Glide Limited on the cables meaning can I install 14 inch Dominator 100%plug/play bars?
hi, is this also possible on a 2020 road glide special?
i love when you guys destroy the fact hat not all models need a cable job and hours of labor from your local stealer.
And the additional several hundred dollars of parts.
My local stealership wants around $1900-2100 for bars "parts" and labor.
Harley wants to charge me $2k for the bars.and install...smh
do you think its the same for a 2024 road glide limited? its the same model type not the newer type?
Great video!
Would this work for 2015 RG also?
Not very clear on where and how to get the slack out of each cable. I’ve looked and watched other videos. Ive cut the zip ties, and freed the cables of the clamp behind the gauge cluster. Still can’t get much slack and I don’t think you should have to pull hard to get that much more.
Should this still work for a 2023?
Thanks for the awesome video. Could 16 inch bars fit and use stock cables?
No. I installed the same 14" bars on my 22RGS. The clutch cable tightens up very tight when you turn the bars all the way left I'm thinking about getting an extension now. All the wires just make it .Technically Factory 47 14" bars are actually 12 1/2 inches to the grip they're not a true 14 bar as other bars are.
How’s the full turn out each way using all stock cables?
It is completely fine, we would not recommend it if it was tight.
It is tight when you turn all the way left to lock out the bars. Or if you're doing slow speed maneuvers in full lock. Turning right there's no problem. I did the same exact bars on my 22 road glide special
Soooo do you think that brake line will work worn your guys’ 16” bars??? It looks like it!! I know the wiring and clutch will have to be changed…
We have used the brake line for a 16" but the clutch would need an extension.
Would you need wire extension for 16” bars also? I have a clutch extension.
@@bwallfx9265 what I wanna know too
@@bwallfx9265 Hi did you ever do this or figure it out? I am wondering the same at the moment with 16" bars
@@MightyMike55 yes, I did it and it worked. I haven’t had any issues thus far
Would it be the same for a 2022??
Yes
Speedometer is not working, any suggestions
Just to check the plug and connection
Would stock lines work on 16"
No
I'm a dummy and bought the new clutch cable to get.my 14's in. My rgs and sgs had 14's but its ok, I think I want 16's now.
Sounds like Harley convinced you to buy a clutch cable
@@coxman007 Just got off the phone with Harley, part guy tried to get me too
Stock electric wires?
Yes stock wires just make it. I did my 14"bars
Thank you for the video, I appreciate it BUT get rid of that porn movie music. Jesus.
