There is a stairway down the cliff to a small beach just beyond that gazebo. There are often some awesome sunsets visible in that entire area. Another close drive is Avila Beach where you can park your RV on the cliffs and drive a car out to the end of the pier.
Way back in the 71/72 school year, was the first time in my life to see the ocean. IT was at Pismo Beach. I would love to go back one day. Thank you for showing me the beach where I swam in the ocean, so long ago.
I have been there many times. Great pier and weather.

Stop in and check out the ChipWrecked restaurant just about a block and a half up from the Pismo Beach pier. The best portabello sandwich and gourmet chips. Worth the stop for sure! Tell 'em Steve sent ya!

Russ, you should spend more time the Pismo Beach and Grover Beach areas. There is so much to see in the surrounding towns also.. I was there earlier this month for 4 days and I wanted to stay longer.

Hey Russ, great video. Just FYI for your viewers but there is a large vintage RV rally/show each year in Pismo Beach. It's been featured on a variety of TV shows. It's held each year during the month of May and It looks like a big and impressive show. I'm hoping to fly out and take a look during next years show. Thanks for sharing and take care.

Does the heavy dense fog stay all day long, all year round, or does it eventually go away in those areas that you drove through where it was foggy?
When I was growing up there, we knew it would usually be gone before noon.

Stay away from Pismo beach RV park, one of the worst places I have stayed!
That's the truth. When we were there, the area had a rain. All the rain water flowed right down into the RV Park. Water came up to within a few inches of our fifth wheel floor. Elks RV , much better.
yes all the RV parks around here are so crowded and packed in... the Elks is Perfect
