What a gorgeous, gorgeous drive and place there at Cape Arago State Park. I could spend ALL DAY LONG there. The scenery is just incredible around there. Thank you for the great tour. Give my Scoobers a milk bone from me❣❣❣
I am really enjoying your Oregon coastal adventure. Really nice video. Maybe 101 is not a fast route, but who wants to miss seeing all that? Just beautiful.
Beautiful!! Just can't get enough of the coastal view! Thanks for taking your time to show us all the places you stay and eat! I really hope to get to this area someday.
Russ what a great video! The cliffs and the water breaking on the rocks just magnificent. Your quality of video is outstanding, I could look around that area for months. Thank-you for having us along.
Especially at this time of year because there are not that many local year round whales close enough to the shore to see, so they are likely going to sit there all day and see nothing, I am way too impatient for that I have had 2 different years though (in the last five summers) that a grey whale has come into the Rogue River, both times in August. If there are whales near the river news spreads around town pretty fast The best time to spot whales is when they are on their migrations each year . There are two "whale watch weeks" each year and they have people trained in whale spotting at a few of the state parks that are up on a hill along the coast to help people to know what they are looking for. Next one is december 27th to 31st where they will be heading south to have their calves and then march 25-31 where they head back north. It is really exciting to see them!
Those 60 degree temps would have me breaking out the parka! LOL I don't know how people do those temps! I think if hubby would take the time to watch some of your videos, he would be on the 101 in a heartbeat! He doesn't have the patients for videos though. Thanks for all the nice info!
I haven't been to the places you're at today...and I don't know why. Usually, I don't normally go that far south along the coast. Awesome views there are, and you had a great weather day for the video. Have you stopped at any of those dispensaries along the way for a better view, even when you're in the silver box with scoobs? hahaha
That really is a gorgeous coast! The seals are pretty awesome! I noticed you said they were pretty loud still from up there. In San Fran I loved the seals! You know how I am I went right to the critters. Hahaha! I was surprised how smelly they were there though lol :) Those have a lot more space than the San Fran ones.. Were they smelly? I was just wondering if it is a Seal thing :) Or the space they had..Lol! :)
Oregon resident since 1970. This is top ten, easy.
