Greensmaster 1000 restore Part 2 - Removing the Reel

- Removing the reel was the hardest part. I had to go to a mechanic friend’s shop and have them use a pneumatic. I tried using a breaker bar and it worked in one side but not on the other. I could have borrowed a bigger breaker bar but it was just as easy to take the reel to the mechanic and have them take it off with the pneumatic. The reel removal process is tough but I’m excited to switch to an 8 blade reel on my greensmaster 1000.

HELL yes HELL YES to the staying alive. Not only did you belt it out proper but the way you cut away to other stuff over it was outstanding....lots of phenomenal stuff in here man to much to mention....you’re the dude.....

Quick question sir - when replacing the reel and bed knife, did you need to have anything sharpened or ground before use?

I hope when you put it back together you show how all the bearings and seals go in and slow it down a bit so I can use this for a reference when I have to service mine

Impact style bits, that will save you in the future. Can't expect a standard bit, do the "damage" of a impact bit....connected to a impact drill.
Any video (or can you) how to assemble the reel-drive engage? The engage knob is loose and can't find anyone showing how to work on it.
Nice video! You need one of those air driven impacts!

Can you point out the clutch system on this? I recently forgot to switch the engage reel to of when back-lapping and thinking I messed up my clutch. just pointing out where it is would be helpful. I posted on the lawn forum about it, but didn't get an answer.
Ummm. Not sure how to point it out. Have you looked at the parts list on R&R products website?
The Lawn Tools yes, but had trouble finding it. Some on TLF have mentioned my issue has previous been fixed with a belt replacement, but just because I know I made a mistake... I’m thinking it’s the clutch.
